Hey, we have a decade’s worth of BGM already made, so we won’t be lacking on that front at least.

And even more is to come in the following years of development…

This new series from Kane Pixels has captured my curiosity. Predictions:

  • Saywell must have discovered some sort of spacetime travelling gate to a place called the “Meadow”.
  • The railroad sign is the Shepherd. Its role is to eliminate any intruder or witness of the Meadow.
  • Saywell probably worked on a simulation of some sort after WW2; something to track people’s minds.
  • Saywell might have discovered that he was living in a simulation.
  • The Shepherd is the one who trapped the modern man in the Data Hall.
  • The mechanical robot in the first video is the overgrown man or maybe even the Shepherd.

I usually find it somewhat “annoying” to follow such series as they tend to have pieces of data hidden in such ways (or explained in such manners) that it requires checking what others have discovered inside the series to fully understand it…

just watch it again, then.

although…some works arent that fun to watch. the only cryptic videos i rewatch are kane pixel’s since he make some good stuff

This is especially as like 218380124 people started making analog horrors after they became “popular”.

Someday… We will all make it.

Very interesting. I always wondered what a Lua game engine would look like.

RX 9090 XT when?

I wonder when will we reach into quintuple digits with these things… Probably years away still.

They’ll just pick a new naming scheme I assume.

For example the hd 8950m was succeeded by a generation of r7’s and r9’s, all with silly names, they they figured out a new, sustainable naming scheme for the following generation, starting with the RX 460, which they used for all of, uh, two generations. Plus is had the Vega 56 and 64. You know, maybe AMD just sucks at names. For example, to further that arguement, the 5900xt is a cpu, and the 5700xt is a gpu, and the 5700x is also a cpu, but in the following generation the 6900xt is a gpu, and there never was a 6xxx cpu.

Or maybe they’ll just really move to quintuple digits. But who knows…

The problem is that AMD has just adjusted their GPU names to compare with Nvidia’s and if AMD rechanges their GPU naming scheme to avoid quintuple digits, it might no longer compare to Nvidia’s since Nvidia is no where near quintuple digits and so they don’t have to change their naming scheme.

What do you think the naming scheme change could end up being?

That’s as hard to guess as the Deckard’s product name.

But generally, it will probably stay like “higher number = released later down the line”, right?

Let’s see…

It went from R3, R5, R7 & R9 (R9 being the strongest and R3 the weakest) followed by 3 digits. The higher the digits, the stronger the gpu would be in its category of strength. Then, it became Vega 56 & 64, which was then dropped completely for RX XXXX. Maybe, they will go like…

  • RX3 XXXX
  • RX5 XXXX
  • RX7 XXXX
  • RX9 XXXX

Unfortunately, this wouldn’t allow for comparison with Nvidia. Hmm… maybe it would be like…

RX9 6070. That could allow for comparison. 6000 series for both Nvidia and AMD would be less confusing as it’s the same series number for comparison.
