You find Earth in the midst of World War Two. You have a few options.
- Observe from a distance.
- Interfere with Earth’s warring indigenous population to stop the conflict.
- Mobilise your forces and invade Earth to subdue the indigenous population.

To be frank, I prefer the second option, although the first one would be the most realistic option, according to history.
Idea
hoomans disappeared without a trace. Because they built multiple small versions of the ascension gates on their planets and colonies and ascended that way.

The monolith from 2001: A Space Odyssey could also be an easter egg.
How about that on only one planet you could visit on foot and you were able to walk around endlessly
