Season: Disaster (1 months left)
Emergency - Level 1
Semi-annual Congress
I can understand that now is not the best time to discuss other things while we are fighting with the protagonists, but we are probably obliged to try to live as usual despite the situation. And since this time, it is much longer than usual, I will first start with the report from the battle (first priority):
From the reports I received from the field, the situation is definitely not good on both sides.
I sent a team of pysionic specialists who will try to create a disruption between the entire area while Kaxylopsen in the temporary military camp that was set up near the central battle area, the body of one of our enemies, he inhabited it and was sent deep into the enemy to infiltrate and gather information. Crimson did the same and part of the zoid that was sent to try to disrupt the siege vehicle’s tactics.
While the attacking group of the walls is finally starting to thin out, now the northwestern wall is the main target - with the pysionic ability to try, it has proven to be a failure - according to my data, it seems that this is not control, this is a mentality that is still unclear. Our army began to flee before the siege vehicle was ready and loaded in my hands.
Crimson managed to sneak up on the siege vehicle and in doing so, caused the lead beast to panic and divert the siege vehicle. Some of the enemies noticed and tried to control the creator, but the plasma shot was deflected and dropped into one of the mortar towers.
The damage estimate is severe and part of the wall has been destroyed, but fortunately it hasn’t been breached yet… Its repair will take months and is a pain in our budget
But we didn’t lose any laser weapons that were there, fortunately. Due to the disruption on our side, some of the protagonists began to hide and our army managed to arrive in time to reinforce and the battle is also hot there.
But with all the bad news, I also have very good news:
Kaxylopsen and Crimson gave me critical information about 3 important points of information:
The one who controls the beasts pulling the siege engines - the āyōtōchtli - 4 siege engines have been identified in total and the largest (yes, there are bigger ones than there are now) is present in the presence of the one who controls these animals. There, nicknamed ‘the architect’ (wow, a really fitting name for a villain).
The same one is present next to the mastermind of the whole plan - black hair, black cloak, holding a large sword and… 3 women tied in a collar (read this right… Kaxylopsen?! It sounds like a trashy isekai trick (to be honest… crazy) Seems to have very strong charisma, but real power… hard to predict
It seems that the force estimate is wrong from what was recorded. It is true that there are about 1500 people, but it seems that some of them are not a fighting force but a support force. This is good news for us and also changes our tactics. It seems that they are using the forests as cover for the siege weapons and evading our observation capabilities, making us think that there are fewer.
They are using gorilla tactics on us and the siege weapons to penetrate our walls. Our walls are too high for penetration [good for us, again], but there is an element that is still missing and probably the most important: what kind of forces do they have? If it definitely comes from ‘God’ who says I am a sinner imprisoning people in these walls (to be fair - it is not far from reality…), and this is the source of the problem - do they have a trump card that can change the rules of the game?
Meanwhile, our ammunition supply is starting to decrease And our factories for making gunpowder and ammunition manage to hold out thanks to early preparations and ready-to-use poisoned ammunition.
The central battle wall is in our favor, but I have reports that the rest of the siege engines were seen breaching the northwestern wall and with it the largest group - about 750 men and 4 siege engines were seen intact. Part of the wall was made but not breached (repeats this again)
General Report:
Injured: 4560~
Killed: 230~ (I take my non-existent hat off to those who focused on training doctors, who reduced our deaths in this battle)
Enemy eliminated: 180~
Estimated number on the northern wall: ~120 (They began to flee, according to documentation.)
Estimated number on the northwestern wall: ~750 + 4 āyōtōchtli
Estimated northwestern wall damage: ~14%
The prediction is now very, very vague. I can’t say at this point whether it’s to our advantage or our disadvantage. But using pysionic is out of the question in this battle. It did more harm than good in our case - the main injuries came from the northwest wall.
Now that the battle report is over, I guess I can open our semi-annual congress!
I can understand that some of our ministers are busy with the battle and that is understandable, but next time - try not to evade responsibility. You will understand why in a moment.
Anyway - these are the results of the predictions that came out for you and I will give you the reports of your votes:

Cryptid: Try to research into the state of the soil deeper beneath a city, in an attempt to see if it’d be fit to host some shelter infrastructure perhaps
According to the report of the team handling this, of course, there is a lot of information in our archives regarding the soil of our metals - as you know - we are above a volcanic caldera - meaning that our soil is mostly volcanic - basalt mainly. It is fertile soil for agricultural growth but it greatly limits us in terms of, for example, how deep we can go. If we are talking about infrastructure - yes, we can, but relatively not deep, so for bunkers it is not exactly good or suitable - those are if you want to cook. We monitor at any given moment the movement of the magma pocket that is below us - even the use of geothermal technology is used here. So the decision is in your knowledge and in the hands of others what to do.
Joker: Upgrade/add to the ongoing toxic water filtration project idk
I’ll summarize what’s happening there: It went down a storm. Trying to expand the capacity to filter the toxins left damage in the environment that a team that is already a bit understaffed because of the war (on our existence) is trying to clean up after. I’m currently putting any improvement attempts on hold until the place is cleaned up… What’s more, it’s pretty much damaged the local infrastructure as well…
Blood: Considering some of the resources used in the filtration are running out perhaps try some less wasteful methods on the toxic water to see if they work/scale for the filtration task aswell?
And at the same time, trying to reduce resources is an idea that I definitely like, but it’s easier said than done. According to information I’ve received, there is some progress in trying to find a solution to this, and there is a solution to this, so it will take time for it to be implemented - an attempt to plant trees or go out into the forest to produce activated carbon for filtration, but given the current situation and the time it will take, it probably won’t happen soon, but it will happen. For now it will need to stay the way it is.

Cryptid card: Advice the city population to grow their own food in case of food supply disruptions (since our food supply might get affected).
I sent a team to contact the heads of local councils of some neighborhoods to try to encourage self-cultivation of partial results. In essence, it is certainly an excellent idea and even very salp-sustainable given the situation, but we have a little problem and that is the area. As you know, the entire city is divided into several very limited parts because of the walls and the surroundings - the part of the city itself and the wild area (this includes agricultural, industrial and uncultivated land). Vertical growing can definitely solve this, but ironically, it is a partially lost technology that can only be solved if we can find a simple solution: what kind of soil is best for vertical growing? Most of our partial areas are of course on volcanic soil, but it is very fertile soil but can also be very toxic. And according to the trend you understood - we do not have any land area that we can use. I have already built a team that can try to solve the problem, but it is a mystery of its own until then.
Joker card: Send out mental health surveys to get an idea of the overall mental health of the city (as we don’t want the city to go mad).
All the staff sent to deal with it returned scarred. The situation behind the mental state of the residents (leaving the work that we are under attack) is not in a good state at all. Imagine yourself being trapped in a place where if you go out and you have no control over exactly where to go, it is a death threat that can be guaranteed even within the safest place, you will be surprised that many are still somehow trying to hold on. This is why it is a very serious situation - it can boil over into a catastrophe if it is not treated properly, and the situation is escalating over time as we are at war. The festival that was there helped to push the situation, but did not prevent it. Well, with this perspective, I myself am not able to do this, but this is a worse situation than I thought.
Blood card: Start stockpiling medicines, pharmaceuticals, vaccines, and other treatments in case of attacks on infrastructure (as we don’t want to have our medical supplies be disrupted or runout).
The industry in the current situation has begun to increase the demand for the production of medical products in light of the situation, but even with the establishment of such a center, it is consumed almost as much as it is produced and it is in a stable state (which is good), but I am afraid that we cannot exactly say that this is a ‘stockpiling’ of medical products for such situations. Surpluses are indeed being accumulated and attempts are being made to store them in the best possible condition (industrial refrigerators, etc.), but at the moment - there is not enough production for us to reach a stockpiling state and as long as the war continues, the situation will remain like this or worse. I have made a recommendation to leave it like this and to leave it reinforced when the war ends.

Blue: grow pvz plants like aah said to defend us
Technological advances in engineering plants for war have leapt since the last time and we have a real experimental prototype - which combines dragon genes (level - deadly) with flowers, and vocal modulation, the team managed to create fire plants that can see up to 8 m away (almost like a flamethrower), can certainly help with defense. But it will take more time until we can exhaust them in the field - and pass the safety of use. Unlike vines, they are more sapiens (relatively) and require much more resources to cultivate. But know that it worked.
Blood: Give them some of our food supply in hopes that they make peace with us, if they still attack us? keep giving them food, especially tasty mushrooms. if you catch my drift…
I consider it an automatic fail, even though the forecast says otherwise. They don’t want anything from us, even with our mushrooms - they knew about it straight away and I don’t really want to go into it in depth…
Cryptid: Similar to the pvz plants, start research genetically engineering thought-controlled plants that can be used as weapons on our front lines
Compared to the previously created flamethrower plant, plant control technology, like Gaia, is certainly a welcome idea, but it’s easy to dismiss. Unlike animals, plants don’t exactly have a brain or any organ that controls precise control. But this is real science, I’m talking about madness. Unfortunately the team doesn’t know where to start, but if we ever manage to encounter Gaia and get some quality samples, such technology that can accelerate the growth of plants and also control their spawning could certainly help in the war we have now, but that’s probably the only thing right now that will need to remain science fiction.
But I’m not saying nothing has come of it - there is a prototype proving it’s possible with the vines sent to war, but we want more than that.
Crimson
| Name | Crimson |
|---|---|
| Position | Biology/Biotechnology |
| Race | Flesh horror. A siphonophore-like colonial organism. They can alter their appearance by repositioning their zooids, for example taking on a more humanoid or serpent-like appearance, they can even mimic the body structure of other species. Zooids can be specialized for different functions, and some have even figured out how to make zooids that can produce electric shocks or spray acid. They are parasitic organisms that inhabit a colossal subterranean superorganism and can eat pretty much anything organic. |
| History | Found their way out of their colossal superorganism home and was the one to make official contact between their species and the city. Desiring to bring lasting prosperity to both and to learn about the surface world as much as possible. |
| Look | Kind of resembles the monster from the horror game Carrion. A decent-sized creature comprised of deep red worm-like zooids, and prefers to configure itself in a multi-limbed serpent or vaguely Chinese dragon-like structure. |

Blue card: collaborate with the minister of defense for weapons to use against the Isakei protagonists.
One of the weapons that was carried out together with the Minister of Defense is the use of one of the ammunitions that have been created that now contain toxins that can paralyze and even kill people - especially opium that is already used in hospitals. Upon contact with the skin, opium is injected into the body which is able to paralyze the victim, excellent for the current situation and also fast to produce. Although opium could probably be suitable for something else in the current situation - we pretty much need every idea to try to survive - which is more important.
Cryptid card: Make some plans to create a bioweapon that could put the Isakei protagonists we’re at war with under the cities control, mind control parasites of sorts.
Besides using opium, there is another substance that we use to cope that can be used as a biological weapon. But this is something that I do not recommend using (and therefore not mentioned above) - anthrax. How does this relate to biological weapons? From the lands that are currently contaminated due to a malfunction, lead and mercury, anthrax spores were also found (from previous research in soil cleaning and valve testing that has not been discovered so far) that were considered extinct when the madness came… but they are with us and are best kept in laboratories for research only. As I know - anthrax is a very dangerous bacteria, but also relatively slow and growing them is long and complicated, but also a very effective weapon. I did not want to refer to this information because it is not required, but in light of your request, I disclosed this information, but it is for everyone’s decision whether to use it - because it can also affect our soldiers.
Blood card: Check up on the progress of previous projects.
As per your request - some of the previous projects continued to progress, but following the war - such as using the Silicate fortifications to reinforce the walls - have been somewhat put on hold due to the situation, but the rest are still progressing, but are far from finished. As for you, they are close to completion, but manpower is the problem at the moment that is holding them back.
Eris Hart
| Name | Eris Hart (familiar…) |
|---|---|
| Position | Occult and Spiritual matters |
| Race | Hastrivy: A weird vine-like plant creature that completely disguises itself as a strangely beautiful human, posessing a pale and almost porcelain-like face. No one can differentiate it from a regular human without a closer look. When exposed to the world, its vines are said to posess a strange allure, and an uncanny ability to manipulate fate in some way. No one knows the exact origins of this race or its singular identified member, but there are rumours that they are the spawn of an ancient forgotten god of luck and misfortune…. |
| History | Ever since her appearance in the city, Eris has always been admired by the various circles interested in the occult and the world of gods and spirits for her immense knowledge and expertise. After successfully leading a gathering of sorcerers in banishing a god that almost wiped out a large portion of the city, admiration for her only grew and a society of followers formed around her, which supported and aided her into gaining her minister position. |

Cryptid: Anomalous and mindbending rituals developped by Eris themself are employed to summon holy Apiluxoid defenses to guard the city. The god of the beyond that sent this puppet shall offer guidance to his future flock.
At the moment, according to the information I have, some of the cult you are trying to summon seems to have answered you in a mysterious way, but at the same time is not present. I cannot, according to the scientific data I have at the moment, explain the essence of this - on the one hand it answered you, but on the other hand - I do not think it is the one you wanted. At the moment I can sense in my sensors the presence of an entity of unknown origin, but I am keeping an eye on it as a routine surveillance.
Blue: daba dee dabada, time for some fun! Have a small party with the rest of the occult department members, give em some time to enjoy themselves and hopefully strengthen loyalty, this will be very needed for later
I can say briefly - they definitely enjoyed what you offered them. Their loyalty increased. That’s all I have to report.
Pink: help Drakonis Tekki by supplying the needed stuff for illusion rituals and spells, gonna need to go extra scary
I can say from reports on supply and in light of the current situation, it seems that the supply in this regard is very stable and satisfactory even to the level of surplus, which is excellent news. Although it is not exactly effective, I suppose we now have the necessary equipment to strengthen them.
The supply route is also absolutely excellent.

Cryptid: Try again to develop psyonic techniques to generate illusions
Given the current situation, some of the team that developed psyonic (and also due to an accident a month ago), is in an intermediate stage of being able to perform illusions. On the one hand, they manage to make an impression, but still not at the level of being able to fool a being into believing. Together with a combination of similar rituals, it does work, but individually, it proves more difficult, as if a catalyst is required. Work on this will take more time to show results.
Joker: Develop psyonic techniques that allow to convert energy from one type to the other
It comes in disaster. That’s it in short. In long - there are casualties from an experiment to convert electromagnetic energy (also known as electricity) into another type of energy, causing the death of at least 5 of them, causing the experiments to be stopped for now until it is assured that there is better control of psyonic techniques. It is certainly a shame, but I put safety first.
Blood: Expand the project of telekinetic extraction of heavy metals from the soil to increase our yeld of metals and soil.
According to reports from the field, the supply of specialized personnel and not sent to battle to separate heavy metals from the soil has certainly increased the yield of heavy metals from the soil, and it is also worthwhile to clean the area. Especially mercury and lead, which showed a high presence in certain areas. Admittedly, the area of land and the relative output are still not sufficient to define a breakthrough in my field of cleaning the land - which will probably take months to complete. But it is still progress.

| Race | “Talking” Dog, specifically a labrador. |
| History | The Event brought along with it many tragedies, and among them one of the saddest may have been the almost total annihilation of dogs; the very few that remained became a commodity that only the very richest in the city could afford. So when the son of an infamous buisnessman registered his dog, Buddy, for a ministerial election he quickly gained everyone favour, a beacon of hope in the post-apocaliptic Sublimpolis, he shattered every record becoming the most voted figure ever; now no one actually wanted to put a dog in charge of something important, but to not upset the population they just invented a new position for the dog, the minister of cuteness thinking no harm would came of it. One day, however, the dog suddenly gained the ability to talk! To most this was explained as a miracle caused by the power of love, but the actual truth, known to very few, is much more simple: the buisnessman, seeing an oppurtunity to expand his power on the city, installed a small loudspeaker in the dogs collar, to make him say whatever he wants. |
| Look | White labrador, very cute. Almost the cutest dog you have ever seen. |

Cryptid: Using my nanobots, creating haunting shapes appear around the campsites and in the dark, spindly jagged shapes that haunt their minds and dreams, in partner with (Frale) and (TeaKing). Have these shapes rapidly appear and disappear (dissolve into nanobots as soon as out of sight), making them think they’re approaching an area of a power they can’t comprehend.
I can report on a successful and unsuccessful attempt at this. With the ability of the nanobots and also in cooperation with the other ministers, there is a kind of illusionary ability like this. Although, it seems that even with all this, it does not seem to affect the target in one way or another. This is in theory - there is a strong force that is able to cancel the effect, but I have no way to prove this.
Joker: A card of the trickster, I shall use this to make sure my true existence remains hidden until the time is right. I will inform my fellow ministers of the fact that I have a plan, though only those who need to know for preparation will be made aware of my true body. The actual effect of this vote would be tricking the enemy into thinking I am scrambling, setting up a variety of paltry defenses against their invasion
Mmm… Should I tell you the bad news? It turns out that the Master Mind already knew about your true existence and your true form, according to information provided by Crimson. He’s counting on you to take your true form. I’m not telling you this, of course, but it seems he has a plan to expose you - because of the battle at the northern walls.
Well, I’ll keep you posted when that happens, if it does.
Blood: Use my nanobots to develop a weapon - a conceptual flame fused with the nanobots very being, ripping the flesh off their bones and souls off their corpses. Prepare to use this in our encounter
I guess there’s a lot of fire-related stuff in this report. The development of the flamethrower-based weapon, I can say that there’s good progress with that, but it’s going to be a bit difficult to get them into the field because of logistics and also mainly how complicated the fighting is on the north and northwest walls. I can report that this weapon is definitely capable of melting even bones, although it’s harder for metals. If we’re lucky, we could try to get them into the fight, but the safety of our residents is our top priority.
