Round 32 - Year 2, Month 8
EVENT
With the mist disappearing from the forum for some time, the users started forming theories about the strange entity, especially as it constructed a cocoon around itself a few days after it’s voyage started. With some users reporting strange movements inside of this cocoon made from soil and, seemingly, whatever was making up the mist, people, and maybe even some of the creatures, started speculating that something large will happen soon and the present calmness is before the storm.
A few weeks later, it all started at once.
First, the shelter mist made for itself cracked in half, and from it emerged a new physical entity, pitch black in color, massive and long, with a large mouth on one of it’s ends. It slid across the posts, devouring any creature daring to stand in it’s way. It was so massive that the letters it squished were turned into white trails of pulp. It could also change it’s form from being physical to being cyberspacial. The users who first saw this being have called it as simply “The Mistworm”.
Then the soil below the limbs of all the critters started to shape, and from it came the remains of all the various species from the past, both presently extant and extinct. They came in many shapes - from rotting corpses of recently fallen creatures, to skeletons, all the way to moving “soil blobs”, remains of some of the first creatures, now far beyond recognition. They quickly started to form swarms of immense sizes, surrounding unfortunate enemies of the mistworm from all sides. Not only that, but all fallen corpses seem to rise up again as allies of the Mistworm after a while! It didn’t take long for the users to start calling them as “The Undead (Swarms)”.
The Mistworm summoned all the undead Yuyimus to itself. It merged all of them into one spherical mass with it’s power and spit out a part of itself at this object. The sphere fell apart into individual specimens of what appeared to be M. Yuyimus gone back from extinction, but in reality they all are under direct command of the worm.
As the mistworm ravages through the many threads of the forum and the undead swarms kill creatures and convert them into their ranks, the populations of all the species are no longer able to maintain the same level as before…
The change of the mist also brings changes to it’s fiefs - the mist mutation no longer takes up a free mutation from a vasal of the worm, with these species instead experiencing their 2.5 free mutations like normal PLUS 1 mist mutation which is controlled by the mistworm…
The mistworm entity also seems to be functioning differently now - instead of upgrading in spikes on events like this one, it now seems to evolve and command more gradually than before. This causes the mist developing mutations in a timeframe slower than any other forum species, but now it also has Mistworm Actions - these are commands the entity sends to it’s fiefs and allies, like the undead.
While not many users considered it seriously before, now with the danger that an entity like that can take over the forum, a new alliance of users has emerged from members of both CPO and FPG - “Mistworm Termination Council” or MwTC. Their only goal as an alliance is to destroy the Mistworm and it’s allies.
However, at the same time, a few users from the banned internet wizard alliance managed to strike a deal with the moderators, which gave them a second chance at becoming members of the forum at exchange of the returning users pledging not to talk about cybermagic in any way ever again. One of the returning members is ProsperLord12. This has been met with varied reactions from the remaining user community.
With all of this chaos happening in such a short span of time, the members of CPO-RC have decided that the Intelligence Rise era has ended with a violent event, starting a new era in history of the organisms on the forum, which has been named “CHAOS AGE”.
(M. Cat-Bestiae swarms have been seen slashing the mistworm…)
(Rolled 5/6, Mist lost 4 HP and regenerated 4 HP)
MISTWORM STATUS:
- 35/40 HP
- LEVEL 3 - can take away 1 Mutation and 3 Conservation Points from up to 2 species EACH ROUND (basing on Mistworm Action)
- Regenerates 4 HP / Round after it gets damaged
- Has 2 Fiefs - D. Bontopius and D. Amplicoma; They give The Mist a tribute if it’s dealt more damage than it can tolerate, where 1 Conversation Point = 1 HP.
- Has undead swarms on it’s command.
- Directly controls armies of M. Yuyimus brought back from extinction, can submit a tribute like a fief.
- Develops a mutations once per two rounds.
- Commands one action every round.
Mistworm MA: Hunt M. Cat-Bestiae (damage)
Undead MA: Hunt F. Spiritusvivi (damage)
Species
NPC - Sapiepoda TeaKinges, “The Crawler” - OP
- Medium Omnivore
Mutations: Join the Covenant, Better Shoes (+1 W Speed), Running Techniques (+1 W Speed)
S. TeaKinges, having many of it’s sites destroyed by the mistworm’s forces, as a whole decided to join up forces with M. Cat-Bestiae, F. Spiritusvivi and the strange entity in order to fight back against the arosen danger. In order to stand an update from the AI cursors, new kinds of shoes were made and running techniques have been mastered, making the individuals a lot faster than before.

Mutations: More Brain Power (+1 Stealth), Better Antislice Skin (+1 Speed)
Nd. Cogitandi has diverted the energy it doesn’t use when resting to it’s brain, making the species gain more brain power. Besides that, it’s skin is even better at evading slices, making the species a bit faster.
The revived species is in danger of going extinct again due to it’s slowness against the upgraded AI cursors.

The Mistworm noticed that this species will suffer from effects of AI cursor update, so it ordered this species to evolve to be faster and evade the cursors, making a lot of it’s members miss death.

Mutations: Anti-mistworm Defense (-1 Mistworm Action damage to all Covenant members), Hyperuranio (+1 Stealth to all Covenant members), Study The Cyberspace
F. Spiritusvivi’s Deus entity has deployed anti-mistworm defenses on itself and other members of the covenant, providing protection against the mistworm if it itself or it’s allies attack. It also made a special space known as the Hyperuranio, where souls about to reincarnate get data about various mistworm and cyberspace-related things.
Deus also studied the Cyberspace again, finding out some interesting things about it - for instance, the mistworm always has a small part of itself in both physical and cyberspacial dimensions.

The Mistworm made this fief faster, and like the other one, the goal was to prevent damage from the AI cursors. The Mistworm also split off some tendrils which are now loyal to it.

M. Yuyimus has been brought back from the dead, but instead of being an independent carnivore like before now it’s under total control from the Mistworm. It commanded the species to produce more offspring and become faster than before in order to evade the cursors. It was turned into an Omnivore to eat various letters around the shelters to which it was commanded to go and hide in.
