Round 44 - Year 3, Month 9

The mistorb released something, but it’s not the second coming of the mistworm


MISTORB STATUS:

-Can no longer send orders to D. Bontopius, it’s only remaining species ally and a fief
-Cannot do much itself in this form
-The Mistorb Vault built around it serves as a container and a barrier
-The Trench built around it serves as an offensive and defensive position in case of a breach of the Vault

-Hasn’t shown off it’s offensive abilities (if it has any)

As the delivered rockets were being primed and final touches to the trenches upgrade finished, all creatures around the mistorb heard and felt that something started happening inside of the vault, as predicted a month ago. All the critters stationed in the trenches turned ready for the return of the mistworm

Soon enough, a loud noise similar to glass shattering was heard, and a few seconds later seemingly an explosion from inside the vault. The tension rose to unimaginable levels

But the expected mistworm wasn’t breaching out of the vault. Minutes passed, and nothing happened.
After around an hour a few critters noticed that there’s a rather large hole in the side of the post in which the mistorb is anchored. Exploring the hole, it was soon found that something escaped from the bottom of the mistorb, and digged through the soil of the post at such speeds that the sides of the dug tunnel were still warm in touch.
In the following hours and days, users started reporting sightings of a strange dark blur which moved across their entire screens in fractions of a second. Mistworm Termination Council came to the conclusion that this strange blur is most likely what escaped from the mistorb, which in itself has returned to it’s previous state.

Deus made this species aid in the anti-mistworm’s development, which should come to fruition next month [ROUND 45]. It appears that the aid will make the strenght boost even larger

As nukes set up for the darkblur stood ready for an encounter, in a large thread the speedy entity was noticed. Without any hesitation, the nearest cybernuke was fired. No user was there to witness the explosion, but afterwards from the site of the explosion dozens of posts were stripped of their letters. As the moderators started discussing with Deus if this was reasonable, reports came that the blur has shrunk roughly 40% in size since the explosion. Since then however, it wasn’t seen, while the direction of D. Bontopiuses evolution took a strange turn, with most users agreeing that the blur somehow took control of this species.

Deus gave this species the mission of producing extra strong cybernukes thanks to the energy nodes and having them activated if the strange blur was confirmed to be present in the nuke’s thread.

I will refer to the weird soul mashup as the devourer

  1. Feed the Devour another 2/3 of the current population
  2. Figure out how to absorb the souls and intelligence of creatures without killing them, creating mindless thralls
  3. Send the devour to absorb the life force of other creatures in the forum

Do you plan on quitting the covenant?
