Cat-Beasts:

  1. Try to gain influence in the BSA
  2. Try to track the movement of the Darkblur
  3. Try to track the movement of the Darkblur in a different way

Devourling Wall Crabs:

  1. Attempt to increase mutations again
  2. Try to calculate were the Darkblur will go next

Mad beasts

  1. Check the calculations
  2. Send armies to intercept the Darkblur at the most likely locations

Also, is the end of the forum game still when everyone becomes sapient, or is something else?

Yes, this is still not a completed requirement. Just one species is non-sapient now…

Edit: @CatSquared You only have 2 mutations this round for your main species, not 3.

i feel like it’s probably safe to assume they’ll get rid of their 3rd mutation rather than either of the other two if they don’t choose which one to get rid of

I’ll get rid of the first mutation.

Round 59 - Year 5, Month 1

There have been speculations in the community surrounding FRF preparing itself to do a large “offensive” against it’s “sworn enemies” roughly a month from now. The time for which the front phased out it’s plans for stopping AI cursor development has passed, so technically the organization wouldn’t be violating it’s own statements if it did commit to the non-human-steered cursors.

Non-Species Entities

Outsider Group

STARGUN STATUS:
-10/10 HP (Regen: 2HP/Round)
-Has two abilities: Jumping High and Far, and Shooting From It’s Gun
-Looks like a rifle-like gun installed ontop of a starfish-like being
-Appears to have been created from two different entities

STUMPSPAWN STATUS:
-?? HP
-Has two abilities: Energy Shield and Plant-Bee Spawning
-Looks somewhat like a stump, with 4 large legs used for walking and 4 smaller, more upward-facing “roots” between the legs, and a bark-like texture. The top of the being is occupied by a large strusture which looks like a closed flower the color of a pink rose
-Appears to have been created from two different entities

SHARPWING STATUS:
-1/10 HP (Regen: ?HP/Round)
-One known ability: Launching Spears, One unknown ability
-The main body appears to have lots of sharp, spear-like appendages at the bottom and on the sides, at the top there are two pairs of wings attatched to a bulge running the length of the entity. Always flying.
-Appears to have been created from two different entities

SPADEBUG STATUS:
-? HP
-Known Ability: Piercing Barrage
-Looks like some sort of a beetle, the tips of it’s legs are tipped with sharp spearheads through

SANITIZER STATUS:
-? HP
-Suspected to have a single ability (needs more research)
-Looks like a blob with 8 octopus-like tentacles, which in themselves have hollow cones at their ends, opening up from the side of their bases.

SERPHANT STATUS:
-? HP
-Suspected to have a single ability (needs more research)
-Looks like a fiery snake with 3 pairs of insect-like wings at the top of it’s body which allow it to fly somewhat

SHIELDSWORD STATUS:
-? HP
-One known ability: Slashing Barrage
-Looks like a shield-shaped hybrid of an isopod and a tortoise, possessing two large “blades” in the narrow section of the shield which have a surprisingly large degree of movement and rotation.

SONAR STATUS:
-? HP
-One known ability: Wave-Stun
-Looks like a tripod table, but instead of the table surface there’s a sphere at the top of the “torso”

SPEEDER STATUS:
-? HP
-Suspected to have a single ability (needs more research)
-Looks like a very thin spider or even a harvestman, known to be able to reach quite the impressive velocities.

Band Action: Return to TOR base and help Sharpwing heal

Following the battle against Corrosion, one of the outsiders was hurt nearly mortally - Sharping had it’s wings liquidized by the powerful entity and fell from high down to the forum soil. Quickly following the battle, when the “three teams” of inside-the-forum entities went their own ways, the pack of nine managed to get TOR users to quickly send them to the TOR PM using hyperlinks. Here, Sharpwing would be put in a post-shelter, with the eight remaining outsiders trying to help it with getting back up on it’s wings. The results of these efforts should become more apparent next month, but for now the whole band has retreated to it’s forsaken grotto.

Mistdom Group

DARKBLUR STATUS:

-32/60 HP (Regenerates 5 HP per Month[Round])
-Insanely fast, can scale hundreds of posts in seconds
-Looks like a disturbing pseudo-humanoid figure within a “dark bubble”
-Two known offensive ability - “Hypnosis” (can convert weaker-minded entities to it’s side), “Darkbeams” (light ranged attack)
-Suspected to have attained more abilities following it’s absorption of The Mistorb, only time will tell what they are…
-By far the most powerful member of The Mistdom, EVER
-Fused with the soul of a rather obsessed, insane mistdom-aligned user
-Has some users on it’s command (unknown to other community members)
-Has two action votes it casts every Month(Round)
-Controls BSA (which is given an order by darkblur every month [round])

Action 1: Hide in BSA PMs
Action 2: Try healing self (2/6)
BSA Action: - (1/6)

During the battle against Corrosion undertaken by all the parties that have so far made up the forum’s interior landscape, Darkblur was left with it’s bubble that used to cover it liquidized and gone. Right after the newcomer was defeated by the other parties present at the battlefield, the blur retreated to the BSA PMs, which are a rather safe space for this entity. Seeing what happened at the battlefield, the users of BSA-core were too distracted to actually carry out any tasks the blur could’ve given them. But it’s not like Darkblur would have actually made them do much of anything in this pathetic state - instead it reverted to trying to restore it’s bubble. It did work somewhat… but currently the structure surrounding the creepy humanoid is rather weak and still needs time before the blur is read to go out into the forum wilderness. It’s likely that multiple months will pass before the blur becomes more active once more.
Following the attack of the Thrall army, which was repelled quite easily, the bubble was left nearly destroyed, but still the blur has proven that it can fight even after being injured so seriously…

Species

NPC - Sapiepoda TeaKinges, “The Crawler” - HO

  • Medium Omnivore

Mutations: Technique-sharing X 2 (+2 Strenght to ALL covenant species)
DM: Technology Size Decrease (4/6, +1 B Speed to ALL covenant species)

S. TeaKinges as an entire species have noticed the positive effect the Neodichorisarid kin has experienced after sharing it’s advancements with other species of the covenant. Of course, every time a new technology is invented in the forum by some species, it inevitably seeps from the species which invented the new techpiece to other species, however what the dividers did was on an another level - they have been openly sharing the results of their research with other species in the great alliance they all are a part of and in return they have earned lots of reputation in eyes of the species and the species gods alike. With all of this in mind, over the past few months the lead researchers of the Sapiepodish kind have been suggesting to the leaders of this species that, just like their divider cousins, they should too try sharing technologies in this manner with others, even if just once and never again. After many months of this being proposed, the leadership of the first species to go sapient finally decided to give a green light to this proposal. Warrior-teachers of the TeaKingal species were sent far and wide to other species of the covenant alliance, ranging from the large and war-some Darrens to the tiny yet obsessed Cat-Beasts. In all these strange yet familiar species the teachers sent by the crawlings managed to get lots of other beings to pick up the art of fighting this kind has created over the years of it’s stay in the forum. Now, the shared art is here to stay and the reputation of the crawlers has taken off.
At the same time Deus would order the very scientists to push for warrior-technique-sharing to try and decrease the size of the technologies that have been invented by the covenant so far. As it’s the best to install more such technologies on oneself or one’s vehicle, it already became apparent a long time ago that technology weight too much for one to carry all kinds of it even if one is a Darren. Now however some techpieces deemed to large were successfully sized down, which has lifted quite the amount of weight off the shoulders of critters all across the website…

@doomlightning - Neodichorisare Cogitandi, “Divider” - HO

Mutations: GEM-unification (+1 Strenght to ALL covenant species), Code Study (6/6, +2 Stealth)
DM: Throne Hull

Nd. Cogitandi would once again go forward and try out projects sharing the technology and research the scientists of this species have been developing, which at this point has been picked up by other species. This month, the point of the actions would be to make more individuals beyond the Cogitandid kin adopt the truly sacred metal into their bodies, as has been done by all dividers at this point. For as the researchers of this civilization say, the more have a part of the gloriously evolved metal within them, the stronger the power of the metal gets. Nevermind that, the project did end up getting a good harvest of reputation for the Neodichorisarid brethren and made the glorious metal be more interlinked with the societies and economies of other species around the forum. At the same time, some researchers of this species, most made in majority of the glorious metal by this point, have been studying the cyberspace and code of the website. While they didn’t find much interesting things in what gives the forum it’s shape, they did find ways to improve the cyber-vision of this species. Not just an improvement, a breakthrough it was! With it, the level at this the dividers understand the objects and areas surrounding them has gone up immensely.
The archmage god would also order a populace of dividerlings to use the sacred meterial for constructing a hull of what one could assume is a post-sized battleship of sorts. This atleast is probably what the divider workers though when the hull was hauled off for the Darrens to utilize it…

@CatSquared - Multipoda Cat-Bestiae, “Cat Beasts” - UC

  • Tiny Omnivore

Mutations: Darkblur Track (1/6), Darkblur Different Track (5/6)
DM: Throne Propulsion

M. Cat-Bestiae have switched their focus as a species recently towards being more anti-mistdom as they used to be in the old days of the species, long before the outsiders even were born. Being worried about what sort of power does the blurry entity possess within the rather powerful organization BSA still remains even after the campaigns of Deuses, especially now that Darkblur was reported to have retreated into the PMs of this group, a first team was sent to check out where a link for the organization to find could be located at. Unfortunately for them, they would be quickly spotted by a gang of Biota Salvation Alliance core members, which correctly guessed what these critters were looking for and managed to push the unsuspecting cat-beasts into the eternal void with their wings broken. This failure however didn’t stop the Devourer, which would end up sending one of it’s most trusted cultists to this point to seek for the fabled link on it’s own, for that way it might be harder to detect the activity of this lone “spy”. After weeks of search which likely took up a sizable chunk of the fellow’s life, it did manage to find a pathway of PMs which led it to the PM network of the alliances. Here however navigating became a lot more dangerous, but nevertheless the cultist saw everything Devourer and covenant as a whole were fearing: the core userbase of BSA is now made up of people who would be willing to become slaves of the blur and the entity itself seems to have hid itself in a “private PM” of sorts, as the cultist read from the letters it found in the PM.
While the lone spy was carrying out it’s mission, the highest mage god made the remaining cultists to construct a part of a new mega-project of the Darrenlings - that would be for the cat-beasts the propulsion system of what one could think is a post-sized machine. Similarly to the dividers, the cult cats also thought this was a part of some sort of a heavily armed airship.

Catsquared - Cancrorum Cultus, “Devourling Wall Crab” - UC

  • Small Herbivore + Parasite

Mutations: Mutation Increase (1/6), Darkblur Prediction (2/6)
DM: Throne Energy System

C. Cultus as the species created by the main cat-beast species was the worse of the two created ones in terms of the upgrades meant to bring this species’ mutation rate to more standard levels. This month, a new attempt at making this rather slow specieswide action rate go faster was undertaken. The technique was again applied to all members of the species and… it failed completely this time, not even giving half-a-mutation every month to these culty crabs. In a vain attempts at recovering their reputation from their “failure” at becoming faster and more relevant in the species scene and forum scene as a whole, the devourling crabs would try to predict where the blur would be headed for next, basing on the intelligence given by the spy cultist who managed to delve deep into BSA PMs. However, their prediction was simply that Darkblur would remain in their hideout for “a long time”, which most of the userbase that was given access to the spy’s findings considered a conclusion too simple and easy to find out by oneself. As so in one month the species experienced two large failures.
Perhaps out of pity Deus gave this species the task of creating energy systems to be assembled for “The Throne”, which the highest god said would be a new high of The Covenant’s power and would probably leave the memory of this species atleast somewhat positive if it did commit to helping in it’s creation. With that, pretty much all adult C. Cultus individuals went on and helped in assembling the energy system of this powerful thing that was said would give this sideline species atleast somewhat more glory. In the end the system was sent off to some Darren bases far away, and while the devourlings wouldn’t see the results of their work now, they know they did a good job here this month…

Mutations: Check Darkblur Calculations, Attack Darkblur (5/6)
DM: Throne Portal Systems

While the calculations of the cult crab species regarding the location of Darkblur in the future to come might’ve not been what many would consider to ever get appreciated, M. Demens was the species to do that. Knowing that the blur would stay in one PM for a good while now, the thrall swarms of this species got excited for culling this foe The Covenant had for it’s whole history - The Mistdom. With the spy jotting down the exact path it took to reach the PM network of the salvation alliance’s, the plan was almost ready.
An army of Thralls made up of both the wilderness population and the NT population assembled after a night predicted to bring little to no users to the forum fell on the hemisphere where the majority of BSA’s userbase lives in. Creeping towards the entrance to the pathway that led to the PMs, the thrall force felt huge excitement - for any of them could become the hero of the entire biota for being THE critter to kill THE blur. As they entered the PM network, the army split off into groups made to search for the gateway to this grotto PM where Darkblur is surely residing in.
The Thralls were proven wrong though, as they noticed that the links leading out from the PM to the wilderness outside disappeared. Some saw a few smudges here and there. But very soon it became apparent that not only is Darkblur beyond their hideout, they have readied themselves for slaughtering the army. This is not something the thralls could’ve expected, but they were ready to fight to last blood already. And so it began.
Darkblur would start shooting the beams first seen in it’s battle against Corrosion individually from it’s arms towards the various groupings of the thrall swarms, turning them into pulps of organic matter rather quickly. The mad beasts had to act fast or else they would have made no difference. Some of them learned to shoot from bows recently and others got hold of some firearms. While the blur was quick to make evasions and eliminate these dangerous fellows, the whole army did manage to hurt it… even if it was just 2 damage to the total of 32 the entity had at this point. The news of the battle came from some more cowardly thralls which dug into the soil of the PM’s posts and escaped after the links were re-set up the following day.
Archmage god meanwhile commanded the remainder of the mad cats to construct portal systems for something called “The Throne”. The M. Demens workforce thought it was weird that a fancy chair would first off need to be this large, and second off need portals, but nevermind that they carried out the task perfectly just like all the other species. They couldn’t have guessed what The Throne was still…

NPC - Paucipoda Narrenists, “Darren” - HO

  • Huge Omnivore

Mutations: Warfare Sharing X 2 (+2 Strenght to ALL Covenant species)
DM: Throne

P. Narrenists leadership has been hearing the news of the dividers sharing their technologies and GEM-technques with other species for quite the while now. Now however with the crawling brethren from the former Multipoda genus, the Paucipodal legions have agreed that sharing the many inventions of the darrenlings with outsiders would be most likely of much use. To not overload them and to keep some technology to themselves though, they ended up only sharing the firearms-weapon technology so far. With the instructors leaving the legions and the barracks of the Narrenists kin, they would soon enough find themselves in such communities in which some elderly haven’t even seen a Darren weapon in action! Obviously after a few weeks this was “fixed”, as firearms of many kinds now are found in the armies of all the covenant species, ranging from the secluded cultist dedicated to the Devourer all the way to the Sapiepodas, of whose some warriors have switched over from bows to the snipers the forum has to offer. It’s planned that more kinds of warfare will be shared in the months to come.
However a certain order from Deus might’ve just overshadowed these tech-sharing efforts. Just after the battle against a divine entity, the leader of The Covenant decided to step up the inside-the-forum alliance’s efforts and construct a weapons platform so powerful it could defeat foes as threatening as Corrosion. “Throne” would this masterpiece of warfare be called. The hull, the energy, portal and propulsion systems have been already constructed by other species prior to the month’s end whilst the darrenlings were busy constructing the weaponage the flying fortress would come to host. In the final week of the month, the whole construct was assembled together, and with the first tests done, it’s now proven to be atleast functional. The question stands however how will it do in it’s first real battle…

Mutations: Dense Architecture (+1 Stealth), Cyberengines (+1 F Speed)
Sapiobots: Sonar Stun Recreation (3/6[2/6 + 1])

Seeing that the New Trench area is now occupied in the largest part by arrays of defensive positions, leaving little proper space for the species that call that PM home, Deus decided to research ways of making the known archtectural schticks and techniques work at a smaller scale, so that in the end there’s “more space” to build stuff at. Fortunately the large amount of knowledge Deus accumulated over these years made the job of downscaling the buildery itself rather easy. As a bons, the archmages’ god also would work with the jet engines that are usually installed on the planes roaming the forum, and while it did infact find a way of making those smaller too, Deus would also find that some interesting things happen when an engine is powered with cyberenergy. Give it a week and a new sort of engine was invented, albeit for now it’s only used in Throne and by the planes operated by the Archmages. These engines give whatever machine (or forum critter if one is crazy enough) they’re attatched to a much higher degree of precise movement, like staying still in the air, which usually is impossible for jet-powered air vehicles to achieve.
The Sapiepods meanwhile were working on making the most out of the information gathered about Sonar’s stunning ability during the recent battle. They would manage to construct a pretty solid prototype, but they don’t think it’s good enough for mass production yet. The work will have to continue next month to remove all uncertainties about the project.

Mutations: Divine Soul (1/6), (To Cancrorum Cerecorpus)
DM: Divineless Life Again (6/6)

C. Venenatorum were again trying to create a soul that would manage to survive the deadly wastes that lie in the websites beyond the oasis the forum is. They would teleport some “promising” souls that were supposed to generate the energy of the divine on their own, but pretty much all of them were never retrieved from these outer areas, most likely having dissolved before they could be teleported back into the forum. For the last such soul however the researchers of this non-sapient species would teleport it back quickly. What they saw was a half-melted rapidly-decaying soul so disturbing that all of the quickly jumped into the void from the pure trauma of seeing this amount of harm. Other reserchers would take a note from this and instead helped the freshly split-off “ghost crab” species, which in itself is currently rather weak.
If this species becomes sapient, the same is true for the ghost crab species.
Deus however seemingly didn’t want the scientists to stop their work and so the god of gods ordered them to get right back on track of developing the fabled divineless life. Who knows how many souls were forged, only to be lost to the deadly void beyond the forum. So many have been sacrificed in name of science infact that a thing rather unexpected happened…

You are still trying this? Despite being blinded? Well then… I may tell you that without our power your kind of life cannot exist! What you have been trying is similar to trying to making an animal a living rock! It can never work. Only we could change that, but that is now what we have in our plans…

The voice of Corrosion made the researchers freeze in fright, but after a while they started to ponder if the defeated entity doesn’t have a point…

willow - Cancrorum Cerecorpus, “Ghost Crab” - HO

  • Small Cyberlifeform

Mutations: Gene-Split (+1 Cstrenght), Sexual Reproduction (+0.5 M/R)
DM: -

Cancrorum Cerecorpus is the cyberspace species that was created by the wall crabs not that long ago. Having ridden itself off the unneeded mutations of it’s makers, this species is pretty much a clean card in this forum. With the base species still supporting it, they have came to the conclusion that, despite having it’s statistics reset, they are rather valuable, for while the cyber-statistics don’t matter much in the main layer of the forum, they are ten times as strong as regular statistics in the cyber layer of this realm. The ghosts would end up splitting their genes into many categories, some rather empty at the moment, making the species stronger, and an equivalent to sexual reproduction too was implemented by the wall crab overlords of this kin, making these ghostly crabs evolve a bit faster. Unfortunately however it seems like the boosts given by the physical beings of the covenant, like the anti-mistworm for example, don’t apply to these strange lifeforms. Despite this setback this fresh eye is already a full-blown Covenant member and, if used correctly, will likely prove very useful for Deus and other gods in charge of the alliance.

Seems like the blur returns to being the main target now?

M1: use all the members of the sacrifice caste to perform a ritual to force all their power into one cancrorum cerecorpus soul, and see what happens
M2: attempt to make a divine soul once again, using information from the half dissolved soul to make sure it stays together longer
M3: worship the empowered C. cerecorpus soul as the Soul god

C. cerecorpus
M1: become Tiny
M2: cybergenetic recombination
that brings C. cerecorpus up to 2 m/r right?

F. spiritusvivi
increase speed

oh and here’s a list of what mutations c. cerecorpus should probably already have from before the full split
and for C. cerecorpus, i had the idea that the amount of energy each one needs should depend on the size of the mutation list, so i have to play it differently from C. venenatorum, and since these only give normal stats, rather than cyber-stats, they would only give 1/10 of a cyber-stat, or no stats, except for ones that affect how much other things damage me, or how i can use my stats, until i upgrade them?

pre-split mutations
F1(base soul)

  • true possession

For which of the two do you want deus to set their DM to this? Or for both?

i possessed some of F. spiritusvivi to be able to use my mutavenom to be able to mutate them

Yes.
Also I’ll just pretend the “soul genes” didn’t activate until ROUND 60.

Living rock, you say? We have you covered.

Mutation 1: Finalize the Wave-Stun technology.

Mutation 2: Install the Wave-Stun technology in the Throne.

Mutation 3: Create “Tartarus”, which is another PM thread, this thread won’t require user maintenance though, as it won’t be used to house any significant amount of organisms, instead it will be converted into a gargantuan prison for the Covenant’s enemies.

Sapiobot: Research means to use cyberenergy for creating lazer weapons.

Covenant Mutations:

Teakinges: Design the mist sarcophagus, which will be the structure that will hold the Darkblur in Tartarus. It will be divided in two areas: the outer sarcophagus, which will be designed in order to prevent any external being from attempting to free the darkblur and also to work as a garrison; the second is the inner sarcophagus, which will be designed in order to prevent the Darkblur from escaping.

The outer sarcophagus will be designed as a fortress of Covenant Concrete reinforced with GE metal, lined with automated turrets and garrisons of robotic soldiers, tanks and drones. In the more fortified parts of the outer sarcophagus there will be located the computer systems that will monitor the inner sarcophagus.

The “outer” area of the inner sarcophagus will hold the generator that will power the rest of the structure, togheter with dense energy nodes as emergency energy reserves. For the actual design of the inner sarcophagus, it will be entirely composed of GE metal, and be separated into the peripheral zone and the cell zone; the peripheral zone will have a series of cybervision sensor arrays and portal generators, which will be restricted to only generate microscopic portals, in order to prevent any organism, especially the Darkblur, from passing through them, while still allowing the cybervision sensors to monitor the cell zone and communication with the Darkblur (In order to prevent complications, only Deus will be allowed to communicate directly with the Darkblur).

The cell zone will be costantly flooded with willow’s anti-mist fluid and have an high concentration of anti-mist in order to prevent the Darkblur from regenerating; the Darkblur will be kept in a costant state of low HP in order to discourage any escape attempt. The cell zone will also be encapsulated inside of an artificial event horizon.

The inner sarcophagus will additionally have stun-wave technology installed in order to stun the darkblur in case of breach of the cell zone; additionally, every component of the inner sarcophagus will be infused with anti-mist.

Doom: Start building the mist sarcophagus.

Catsquared: Start building the mist sarcophagus.

Devourling crab: Start building the mist sarcophagus.

Mad Beasts: Start building the mist sarcophagus.

Darren: Start building the mist sarcophagus.

Willow: Make them modify the Ark Program, instead of generating organisms it will instead generate GE metal and structure it in order to produce robots, these robots will then be given the directive to estabilish communications with the Covenant as soon as possible in order to receive further orders. This will be known as the Von-Neumann program.

Ghost crab: Aid in the creation of the Von-Neumann program.

What do you plan on doing with the blur in the “coffin”?

research! what else would we do with it? aside from starving it, burning it, drowning it, suffocating it, electrocuting it, and filling the air with a mist made of mutavenom so i can subject it to bodily horrors, obviously

Why not just perish it?

that may come eventually, but why go to extensive efforts to contain something if you aren’t gonna research it?

So that you get to know the dark arts it knows and stuff?

Actually, I am going the “Killing is wrong” route, also I plan on releasing the Darkblur if another being like Corrosion appears. But research will also be done.
