How are we going to get the Darkblur into the Sarcophagus?

I assume that’s a thing for Round 61’s votes.

We’d definitely need to damage it significantly, before we have a chance at securing it.

Like knocking it unconscious I suppose…

The Throne’s first mission will be to capture the Darkblur, also we have event trappers to facilitate capturing entities.

Round 60 - Year 5, Month 2

Unfortunately the predictions of the users from the previous month were proven in this one. Early into the month Forum Reclamation Front announced the full reintroduction of the AI cursor technology into the forum. Not only that, the efficiency of the cursors has risen significantly, as if they received 2 upgrades [24 → 28 User Pressure] and not one. Their count and cooperatibilty amongst eachother also increased to the point that if a species is missing out even in a single statistic, they are doomed to have a strategy found against them and used to slaughter them off the face of the website. A new dark age has truly fallen on the forum…

Non-Species Entities

Outsider Group

STARGUN STATUS:
-10/10 HP (Regen: 2HP/Round)
-Has two abilities: Jumping High and Far, and Shooting From It’s Gun
-Looks like a rifle-like gun installed ontop of a starfish-like being
-Appears to have been created from two different entities

STUMPSPAWN STATUS:
-?? HP
-Has two abilities: Energy Shield and Plant-Bee Spawning
-Looks somewhat like a stump, with 4 large legs used for walking and 4 smaller, more upward-facing “roots” between the legs, and a bark-like texture. The top of the being is occupied by a large strusture which looks like a closed flower the color of a pink rose
-Appears to have been created from two different entities

SHARPWING STATUS:
-?/10 HP (Regen: ?HP/Round)
-One known ability: Launching Spears, One unknown ability
-The main body appears to have lots of sharp, spear-like appendages at the bottom and on the sides, at the top there are two pairs of wings attatched to a bulge running the length of the entity. Always flying.
-Appears to have been created from two different entities

SPADEBUG STATUS:
-? HP
-Known Ability: Piercing Barrage
-Looks like some sort of a beetle, the tips of it’s legs are tipped with sharp spearheads through

SANITIZER STATUS:
-? HP
-Suspected to have a single ability (needs more research)
-Looks like a blob with 8 octopus-like tentacles, which in themselves have hollow cones at their ends, opening up from the side of their bases.

SERPHANT STATUS:
-? HP
-Suspected to have a single ability (needs more research)
-Looks like a fiery snake with 3 pairs of insect-like wings at the top of it’s body which allow it to fly somewhat

SHIELDSWORD STATUS:
-? HP
-One known ability: Slashing Barrage
-Looks like a shield-shaped hybrid of an isopod and a tortoise, possessing two large “blades” in the narrow section of the shield which have a surprisingly large degree of movement and rotation.

SONAR STATUS:
-? HP
-One known ability: Wave-Stun
-Looks like a tripod table, but instead of the table surface there’s a sphere at the top of the “torso”

SPEEDER STATUS:
-? HP
-Suspected to have a single ability (needs more research)
-Looks like a very thin spider or even a harvestman, known to be able to reach quite the impressive velocities.

Band Action: Help Sharpwing Heal

It seems like that Sharpwing is not just still alive but infact recovering from the damage caused it two months ago now. All members of this band of nine remained in TOR’s PM over the course of these thirty days and it seems like the chance for them leaving the area will only arise next month. Following the leakeage of Stargun’s regenerate rate, the users making up this rather small user organization became more careful when it comes to annoucing the state and the condition of the outsiders to the wider user public. As so it’s likely that all the forumfolk, user and creature, will only find out Sharpwing has healed when it alongside the rest of the band leaves their shelter.

Mistdom Group

DARKBLUR STATUS:

-47/60 HP (Regenerates 5 HP per Month[Round])
-Insanely fast, can scale hundreds of posts in seconds
-Looks like a disturbing pseudo-humanoid figure within a “dark bubble”
-Two known offensive ability - “Hypnosis” (can convert weaker-minded entities to it’s side), “Darkbeams” (light ranged attack)
-Suspected to have attained more abilities following it’s absorption of The Mistorb, only time will tell what they are…
-By far the most powerful member of The Mistdom, EVER
-Fused with the soul of a rather obsessed, insane mistdom-aligned user
-Has some users on it’s command (unknown to other community members)
-Has two action votes it casts every Month(Round)
-Controls BSA (which is given an order by darkblur every month [round])

Action 1: Try healing self (6/6)
Action 2: Try healing self (5/6)
BSA Action: Make the PMs unreachable for the permissionless (5/6)

Most likely being afraid of the attacks committed by the thrall kin last month, Darkblur ordered the users of Biota Salvation Alliance to actually get down to working this month and securing the paths into the PMs of this organization where the blur resides. This was largely successful, though a complete 100 percent isolation of the PM might be nigh impossible. At the same time as this was happening, Darkblur got more luck with it’s attempts at speeding up it’s healing process, managing to recover quite the amount of extra health this month, and managing to revert the bubble into a more healthy state, thought probably still not fully prepared for regular functioning now. With the BSA now mostly secured, little is known about what might the blur be planning on doing after the healing has finished. It certainly can’t be positive for The Covenant, especially with the attack of the mad beasts taken into account…

Species

NPC - Sapiepoda TeaKinges, “The Crawler” - HO

  • Medium Omnivore

Mutations: Stun Weapons X 3 (+3 Strength)
DM: Sacrophagus

S. TeaKinges have been handed over a large plan by Deus, being of a construction at the scale of a whole PM. The structure of this tomb is supposed to have many layers lined with advanced technologies, made to secure the largest enemy of The Covenant currently, Darkblur, deep inside the Sarcophagus. While looking at the plans of the structure and assigning other species for making the various parts this huge prison will be made of, the crawlers spotted the usage of stun weapons in the inner layers of the tomb. While they may at first seem like just an another sort of weapon that would fit the darrenlings, the Multipodal critters were heavily interested in the stunning ability that was included in the plans and went ahead to question the sapiobots about it. These robots meanwhile were rather willing to share the stun technology with who the knew would be executing the construction of this building so important to Deus seemingly, and soon enough some of the stunners given by the bots to the Sapiepodas were deconstructed and recreated by the researchers of this kin, who found them useful enough to start testing them out. Like many other inventions, in a matter of a week or two stun warfare became commonplace in the Sapiepodish society, and is most likely here to stay.
TeaKingelings were also rather lucky with the AI cursors, as they were too strong, fast and stealthy for these vicious murderers to find any overpowered tactics against them. But will this stay true for long…?

@doomlightning - Neodichorisare Cogitandi, “Divider” - HO

  • Small Herbivore

Mutations: Higher GEM Creative Power (+1 Stealth), Assimilative Hivemind (+1 Stealth to ALL Covenant Species), Mistdom Defense (-1 Mistdom population damage)
DM: Sarcophagus Construction

Nd. Cogitandi have been rather obsessed with the glorious evolution metal, as they were for quite some time lately. This month they focused on a multitude of aspects regarding the metal, one of them being the creative power the GEM gives to ones who accepted it’s presence in their flesh. Now the sacred material, when implanted into the brain or mindcenter of people, strengthens their imagination, making it design better designs and overall work faster. An another aspect of the glorious metal that was improved was the collective nature of the community of GEM-using creatures reaching across the species boundaries. The metal in some way managed to fuse parts of the souls of all it’s users together, for now only being as strong as sub-consciousness, but who knows how much stronger may this proto-hivemind become if more time and effort is invested into making it grand? The last feat of GEM undertaken in the final week of the month was improvement of the defences against the mistdom, which might take actions against covenant due to what the later did to it lately via the thrall raid on the main PM network of Biota Salvation Alliance. With aid of GEM, the defences of the Neodichorisarid kin were improved on this field, and hopefully they won’t need more work done for securing the species.
Meanwhile the crawlers sent the dividers some orders regarding constructing a new giant structure known as “The Sarcophagus”, for which this kind shall make parts. Having already been recruited for some works before, this wasn’t too much of a challenge to the Cogitandids.
Like the crawlers this species too has managed to evade the most devastating results of AI cursor reintroduction. There is some feeling that they may receive large update in the due time if nothing is done about them though…

@CatSquared - Multipoda Cat-Bestiae, “Cat Beasts” - UC

  • Tiny Omnivore

Mutations: Darkblur Location (2/6), DB Location Again (4/6), (To C. Cultus)
DM: Sarcophagus Construction

M. Cat-Bestiae cultists have picked up what their cult-entangled wall crab brethren have gotten themselves into last month - trying to predict where Darkblur may be residing. For obvious reasons, like the BSA PMs having had their entrances re-checked lately by the users of this blur-associated organization and Darkblur likely being rather wary of an entity, alongside it being a fast critter, accurately predicing the location of the target being close enough for an attack to succeed is a rather hard task to execute. This month the cat beasts had two tries at doing just that. The one earlier into the month, just after the PM maintenance ordered by Darkblur for it’s PMs, found that it’s unknown if any ways to get into these private messages, or chats rather, exist anymore after this action. Hope began to be lost for a quick victory over the blur, as some higher-ranking cultists started to worry about Devourer possibly unleashing it’s anger if it turned out the effort of it’s subjects was worthless. Thankfully, the second search later into the month prevented that, though it also didn’t find a concrete road into the now much more secure hostile territories. Some scouts reported that there seems to be a labirynth of PMs in the profiles of certain BSA members, which might just hold the key for re-entering the lair of Darkblur. That being said, it’s yet to be confirmed where exactly does the path lie, so any army attacking the blur again would have to find out the way itself…
Deus and The Crawlers sent orders to pretty much all Covenant species about constructing a new super-structure known as “The Sarcophagus”, which seems to be an another PM-spanner like the Laborathory.
Thanks to it’s sole location in the isolated new trench, the beasts of the feline likeness managed to evade the AI cursors alltogether this month, which is especially important as those got a big upgrade recently…

Catsquared - Cancrorum Cultus, “Devourling Wall Crab” - ID

Mutations: Mutation Increase (1/6), Darkblur Attack (2/6)
DM: Sarcophagus Construction

C. Cultus collective certainly doesn’t like the title of the “slowest”-acting species in the entirety of the forum, and so yet again they tried increasing their mutation rate to what these cult crustaceans hoped would be the regular species mutation rate. Instead, they landed… right back at their own mutation rate of 3 large actions per two months. Unluck does seem to really like this species’ plans of self-upgradement. It went ahead so much infact that the attempt of mutation rate improving caused a large swath of the populace to catch a strange disease, from which most died. That would only be the first large population loss for this species this month.
The second would come from the attempt of proving themselves against Darkblur, which is the most dangerous enemy of The Covenant. New tries at guessing the location of a viable entrance to the PMs in which Darkblur stays however did not result in a complete success, instead pointing to one wide area. Despite having suffered from the plague just a week or two ago, the leaders of this cult of a species decided to send an army to the suspected location anyways, hoping that even if these brethren of theirs die, they will still bring glory to this rather unfortunately unlucky species.
However as the army arrived in the labirynths at the site of the BSA member profiles, they could not find the fabled gateway into the blur’s realm for too long. Disaster was imminent for the crabs once a member of the salvatious alliance spotted the army. Suddenly dozens of cursors swooped in, decimating the army each minute, as it tried to find it’s way back from the dangerous PMs into the wilderness proper. In the end, just a small fraction of the total force returned alive, shrinking down the populace of the cultcrab kin even more and additionally bringing exactly 0 enfablement to this kin.
While they were gone, this species was given orders of construction of large parts for a structure known as “The Sarcophagus”. Not knowing the fate of their friends against BSA, many cultist crabs went to working on the tomb, only to find out about the tragedy once they finished their part.
A saving grace preventing this month from becoming totally cursed for this species might be the fact that the upgraded AI cursors didn’t find a way to directly harm the cultlings living within the new trench - C. Cultus included.

Catsquared - Multipoda Demens, “Mad Beasts” - UC

Mutations: Attack Darkblur (2/6), Attack Darkblur Differently (5/6)
DM: Sarcophagus Construction

M. Demens, like last month themselves and current month the crab cultists, were planning on attacking the Darkblur in it’s lair. Hearing the news of the labirynths that are suspected to hold ways into the realm where the blur resides mostly these days, the thrall hordes decided to give it a try, despite knowing that they might end up just like their crabby brethren. In hopes of evading the users of BSA, the thrall army decided to attack a different convoluted network of PMs instead, similar somewhat to the labirynths. Here however the only thing found was a large amount of danger as just like with the crabs before them, the thralls to got found by the Alliance’s users and shredded into bits by double-digit amounts of cursors. An another failure at reaching the blur via the labirynths gave some mad beasts the idea that maybe these are in fact decoys and a true way into the heart of BSA lies somewhere else. After a week or so of preparing, a new army departed and headed to a suspected new location, being called by some “the corridors”. These long hallways of empty posts were discovered recently by some scouts and are thought to have a purpose of tiring the creatures of the forum before they can get into the core of BSA. They also are far more coherent to understand spacially than the labirynths. It didn’t take long before a legitimate pathway into the proper PMs of BSA was found, however under a common decision of the thrall forces an actual assault wasn’t taken out on the place. This was mostly due to the AI cursors striking thrall settlements in the wilderness proper, promping them not to loose too many forces in the hostile terrotory, which a battle would certainly achieve to accomplish. Soon enough the entirety of thrall populace left surviving and the army were relocated into the new trench.
But before the evacuation, some thralls left in the wilderness settlements of the mad beasts were given a task of constructing parts for “The Sarcophagus”, a giant building ordered for construction by Deus itself. Knowing the power of this deity-like entity, the local thralls took upon the task and finished it quickly before evacuation, under strong fire of the AI cursors.

NPC - Paucipoda Narrenists, “Darren” - HO

  • Huge Omnivore

Mutations: Warfare Sharing X 3 (+3 Strength to ALL Covenant species)
DM: Sacrophagus Construction

P. Narrenists highest command was content with the results of the first batch of war technology sharing with the ohter species around the forum, and so the second round of the warfare sharring commenced. This time, it was the aviation technology that would star. Having existed for quite some time now, it didn’t take long for the military airforce of the darren kin to travel to it’s designated training grounds, where the pilots, amongst which many aces hid, met up with the high leaders of other species. Things like jet plane rockets, better and more modernistic plane designs, flying and fighting techniques, alongside many other things, were shared at many airfields that started to arise in almost every thread of the website a long time ago now. Now, the aerial capabilities of the covenant as a whole have risen immensely, with such fast vehicles likely being of much use against speedy foes, of which Darkblur is a member of.
Less fortunately for the darrenlings, this time instead of them being given the plans for the upcoming major covenant construction, it was the crawlers which were given a chance. Who once were commanding the assembly of the throne, currently still waiting for deployment, were instead working on welding parts of “The Sarcophagus” as the new major project is named together. They did their part for sure, but they could have atleast been given the weapon part of the structure to construct - it’s what they are the best at making, aren’t the Narrenists?
With just barely enough speed, these titans of a species also managed to just avoid having the AI cursors find a good strategy against them. More investment into stealth and speed is ought to occur soon…

Mutations: Stun Tech Finalization (3/6, +1 Strength), Throne-Stun (5/6, +1 Strength), Tartarus
Sapiobots: Cyberlasers (2/6[1/6 + 1])

Deus and the key figures within the archmage species gathered together to finish what the sapiobots started with the stun technology, being based off Sonar, one of the nine outsiders. With enough effort, the technology reached an acceptable level of reliance, at which point mass production for the needs of The Throne started. On The Throne, the conditions of the structure allowed the stunning weaponry to act even better than it did back at the research sites in the territories of the highest mages. With that in mind, The Throne feels like a rather complete build now, though still missing it’s first blood. Meanwhile as the installation of the stun technologies on board Throne was happening, Deus alongside a few MwTC users created a new PM, which was immediately abandoned by the users after creating the number of posts the highest god of the forum demanded to be established there. This would become the tartarus, home to The Sarcophagus.
Unfortunately the base species making up the archmage kin was rather unprepared for the opportunity of the AI cursors coming back stronger than ever before. The strategies of the AI-driven cursors were quickly adjusted to slaughter off as many “mages” as possible within a short timespan. As so it isn’t surprising that the base species is now at the edge of going extinct.
The Sapiobots meanwhile tried creating lasers powered by the energy of the cyberrealm, but they did even worse than they did with the stunning technology prototypes last month, only creating proper theory on the matter. Is the performance of the bots perhaps decreasing over time?

C. Venenatorum were rather heavily invested in aiding their “offspring species” this month, which has been the best shown by the mass sacrifice of the caste made for this purpose in name of the ghostly crabs. Forcing all the power into one soul produced a… Soul that seems to have been “Devourer-ized”, as it gained some characteristics of The Devourer, most importantly it’s large size when compared with regular souls. This is still better than nothing, and so this big soul became the soul god. It might look silly now, but with enough time it might turn into an actual formiddable fighter alongside the physical gods. An another thread at work this month was the case of the divine soul creation, which was reattempted this month, with usage of the knowledge of the partly-melted soul recovered last month from the external environment. While like before it didn’t yield any results, the researchers of the wallcrab kin doing the experiments felt that a divine force was close by and watching - could these beings said to eminate divine energy be observing the attempts of the creatures trying to escape their home just now?
Deus meanwhile ordered what essentially was the re-imagination of the ark program of the old days, which produced the outsiders. This time, GEM and robots were planned to be used, and aid from the ghost crabs was receive too. Unfortunately, despite everything going according to the plan, nothing was received back by the predicted last chance deadline after the arks were planted by the users. And once again some researchers reported the feeling that divine beings, especially Corossion, were nearby, probably having observed the whole ark-launching process. This is probably a bad sign, increasingly more if combined with the statement of that entity sent a month ago.
The AI Cursors were close to dooming this species, but thankfully days before their upgrade rolled out the archmages possessed by this species made all the wallcrabs a bit faster, which allowed them to avoid such a fate.

willow - Cancrorum Cerecorpus, “Ghost Crab” - HO

  • Tiny Cyberlifeform

Mutations: Tiny, Genetic Recombination (+0.5 M/R) | C. Venenatorum Mutation: Soul God (+1 CStrength)
DM: Von-Neumann Help (4/6)

Cancrorum Cerecorpus evolved towards efficiency over size, managing to get the average size of a specimen much smaller than even just a letter. Alongside this change of size, a change in the way the souls reproduce has also happened, as more recombination than before now is at play when these strange beings replicate. Thanks to that, this species is no longer tied as the slowest one per making species-wide actions or mutations with the cultist crabs. The “parent species” of this species, the wall crab kin, also did a great deed to one of the many souls making up this cyber species, by creating essentially a devourer for this species to gather around, known by the name of Soul God. It’s not an experienced god for now, but in the future it might be more skilled, perhaps rivalling the physical layer species gods too…
Cerecorpids have also been involved with the program of sending GEM capsules to different forums, knows as the Von-Neumann program. Like the wawllcrab researchers however the ones of the ghost crab kin also didn’t see any messages being sent back, and instead they fealt a great degree of divine power nearby.
The Ghost Crabs got their hidden genes activated too lately, though most of them don’t really help this species currently. They were activated with various levels of success, and many are ready to be put into work one way or another.
Being a species of the cyber-realm only, the AI cursor upgrade didn’t impact the spooky crabs really at all.
