Thalassopocalypse

I wonder if multiple species will become invisible like Drax the Destroyer in this FG?

I am not sure we can become 100% invisible, especially the larger of us.

Also, did only the filter feeder Conodonts survive?

Current consensus supports the latter hypothesis in which elements are used for predation, not suspension feeding.[32] One line of evidence for this includes the isometric growth pattern exhibited by S, M, and P elements.[28] If the conodont animal relied upon a filter feeding strategy then this growth pattern would not provide the necessary surface area needed to support ciliated tissue as the animal grew. There is some evidence for cartilaginous structures similar to those present in modern jawless fish, which are both predators and scavengers.[16] Wear on some conodont elements suggests that they functioned like teeth, with both wear marks likely created by food as well as by occlusion with other elements.[32][37]

It seems like so, we usually don’t choose too large of a group in this FG.

I wonder if everyone will become an omnivore/mixotroph to maximize survival? Carnivorous Mangroves plants sound terrifying.

Um I am not sure animalia will allow that unless you mean as in carnivorous plants only and not something even beyond that

Yeah, I mean Carnivorous plants. Not Triffids.

I mean it’s not like the nitrogen fixing bateria all died out right?

Could organisms with Ferroplasts develop in this FG, where iron-bacteria are endosymbionts?

I think it would take too long to emerge…

I wanted to evolve fins earlier, but then the Algae/Plankton started to collapse. Also, Conodonts don’t eat tree roots, so doomlightning should be safe. Will the Plankton spread to the Mangroves?

If they are submerged I don’t see why it wouldn’t

Imagine if doomlightning evolved the Ginko trait of injecting poisonous compounds into the soil…

I think animalia said there won’t be enough time to evolve poison

Could doomlightning evolve fire-resistant bark, or is there not enough time for that?

Probably not enough time. Not like any of us can cause fire, right?

M1: Basic digging.
M2: you guessed it… LONGER BODY.

I wonder if the events are supposed to be 3 rounds apart or will they have less regular intervals…

Instead of the Triassic Period, would this be the Thalassopocalyptic Period?

Most certainly.
Now speaking of does this new ocean go far deeper than any ocean as we know them went into the crust?
