Thalassopocalypse

Is there enough time for sentient plants to develop, if it is allowed?

I was talking about what โ€œslightlyโ€ means. The edit was the only part with a mutation, so only one mutation.

I am gonna assume you can spend two points, but to remain on the safe side for the moment the moss shall have one change onto the moss for the time being.

Taller sporophytes that have compressed air within the spore capsules to help spread moss spores around on longer distances.

Yeah, I am not sure either.

I will evolve small teeth/bristles in my species mouth to make capturing microbes to feed on easier.

I donโ€™t think thereโ€™s enough time for that

Could he perhaps do it over multiple rounds?

points and BP are different. BP is your winning score and Points is used to evolve your creature. You default only get 1 bp per round. But if youโ€™re smaller than a hamster you get 2 points per round to evolve or move around your creature.

Thereโ€™ll only be 15 million years worth of evolution (each round takes 500k years and thereโ€™ll be 30) so probably not

So is there ANY appeal to being larger than a hamster?

Your population wonโ€™t be capped by predators. If you want to play competitively you could just eliminate all the other player genusโ€™ so you win the game prematurely. Although thatโ€™d probably end in some type of ecosystem collapse.

How would toxins/poison work like in this fg?

Venomous and poisonous animals take too long to evolve to appear in this fg. It took snakes 40-60 million years to have their venom glands as we know it. Poisonous animals can evolve quicker if the toxin they use is already in their environment (see dart frogs). But there isnโ€™t such among the playable genusโ€™.

I see. Is the monolith still around or has it been used up?

You can spend two points if youโ€™re under the size of a hamster (or a plant). If youโ€™re over the size of a hamster you only get one point per round to spend on evolution.

All that being said, I think we have everyoneโ€™s changes except for @doomlightning

Who knows, you might figure that out in some other forum game. (Oh yeah, all my forum games will take place in the same universe so choices that you make in one might affect the outcomes in another.)

Iโ€™m going to do the following: raised roots and floating spores

I see. Will you inform us if an event is coming up?

In that case, the Clarkina Genera Clade will also evolve better camouflage (I donโ€™t want to die early).

Ball it, I also will evolve superior blendage into the environment.
