Thalassopocalypse

I keep forgetting I can use that instead of camouflage.

I am not sure it’s a real word though

Minor Changes to the biosphere have been detected, the Karoo Basin Sea is now inhabited by Conodonts. Overpredation of Plankton has cut their population in half, population drop between sea animals will likely ensue next. Slight overpredation of Blattopterans has cut their population level by 1, however the change is not great enough to cause ecosystem disturbance. Slight overpredation of Moss has dropped their population level by 1, but not enough to cause ecosystem disturbance.

Looks like our first crisis might begin in round 3 in the ocean…

I think I also said I wanted springtails to have better chances off as youth previously?

I assumed you switched at the end. (Whatever I suppose you can evolve that this round)

I meant the camo thing as an additional since I had 2 mutations right?

Mutation 1: Evolve an extended mouth, which still has jaws with the cone teeth, from where the skull is located to better get food; it is not yet as extended as in Obaphina or Tullimonstrum.

Mutation 2: There are now a few bifurcating spikes on the sides of the body for defense.

Movement: Move some population to the Open Ocean (I want to make sure I am in many areas so that some population of my species survives a potential event).

Are there any floating plants in the sea?

Apparently, the Clarkina Genera Clade can eat Plankton.

Yeah but I meant like mats a Springtail could survive on.

Maybe they could evolve into floating mat colonies?

You mean the plankton? No one is controlling it to my awareness…

I’ll just continue what I’m doing. Get bigger and more camo’d. This time, slight increase to the BODY length, not the leg length muahaha!

I don’t think my other mutations for the previous round were included, either.

Maybe it’s on our part that the problem is for the mutations to not have been included…

I will focus on faster growth and creating a special capsule for the spores to protect them from external environmental factors and also as a source of energy for the spores (pseudo-seed | spore capsule)

Does that mean you are doing the excluded mutation from the previous round as a mutation for this round?

m1: hibernation-like state for when the food is scarce and/or bad environmental occurrences
m2: better reception and response to signals (better senses)

no that’s not what I meant.

I edited my mutations for this round so the second mutation is now the missed mutation.

I don’t count mutations that are too drastic. Spikes running along would likely take 1m years or more.
