The grand galaxy of Darkrest

because a planet at liquid h2 temperatures is unlivable.
after they go extinct of total ice age disease, then i’ll take all the minerals, and all the life that managed to survive through stuff like cryptobiosis

Wouldn’t it just heat up again because of it’s home star?

most heat in a planet actually comes from below the surface

What would be left of the planet after your species finally leaves?

Well I read through it, I didn’t understand everything but I have a basic picture of a cat-ant thing that can shoot lasers through it’s tail, eats flouride, has a few cytoplasts, genetically modifies itself and is capable of flight

once everybody has no more questions and is ready for the game

When we ought to expect round 1?

the wings aren’t for flight, they’re for communication, respiration, and photosynthesis
they did evolve from wings that were used for flight though, cause they evolved from a wasp-like flying nectarivore/frugivore
and it’s more like cytoplasts are what they have instead of cells, and they can move them around due to the proteins they use for binding being detachable and able to move, and each one has abt the processing power of a large jellyfish per 10 um diameter cell of volume
which also means the sensory input from them and motor controls required by them add a lot of load to the PNS
and kinda like lasers but just with electrons instead of light
and venom that explodes if hit with high energy electrons, and then becomes a superacid

Also, regarding the black hole tech, how would you retrieve stuff from the universes within them?

for the universes within them, portals
for the space inside them where the exotic matter is, being very careful and using a very strong magnet
mainly cause electromagnetic fields are the only theoretically possible way to accurately move exotic matter, cause it has negative mass, which means pushing on it pulls it towards you, but has normal charge

If you colonized an entire universe of a black hole, how much would that boost your empire? I hope it’s not like just 1 is needed to overpower all others…

why would i try to if i have more universes to expand into
taking resources from others for the resources would be pointless
the only reasonable reason for me to take resources from others once i unlock the black hole traversal thing would be to set an example

And what can we do once you’ve colonized an universe?

well theoretically, me entering a universe opens up the possibility for everyone else to enter it
if i don’t guard it well enough or destroy the portals, at least

Would you share it with us though?

oh i missed the question abt the planet
my species starts on persephone, since it’s the only one with a fluorine bearing atmosphere
they also have hives that originated from communal burrows, which are used for avoiding both the great burning and the deep freeze of every year

Question: Is stealing tech a thing in this FG?

If that is the case, then I assume players can also have spies and spy networks/counter-terrorism?

That’s a whole new mechanic for illtry to deal with…

Good question, I hadn’t considered that but I think not because it would mean that if you eliminated another species without destroying it’s cities or planets you’d get 2x the technology

Well they could also get your tech if they wished to…
