THE NEW Miscellaneous Talk That Doesn't Deserve A New Thread Thread Thread (Part 1)

Hopefully I set this up right, as it is my first poll. I am sure this exact poll has been done before, but I am curious to the answer and it seems as though it is somewhat relevant to the current conversation.

Iā€™m doing an alternate timeline where Europa and Callisto collided, went into the habitable zone and became a habitable planet, and Iā€™m out of ideas. suggestions?

How does that orbit affect earth?

No, but it affects the orbit of several asteroids that end up crashing to Earth, butā€¦ It would be interesting if the orbit of Mars affected, making it slightly less inhospitable.

Subnauticas soundtracks work pretty nicely with thrive i think.

Whenever i play i just mute the normal music and listen to that instead(i still like the normal music i just like subnauticas more)

I do that too, but I put Vivaldi in everything I play.
Sometimes I also put ā€œA sea called Solarisā€ when I play spaceengine and enjoy my existential crisis

I find that hilarious and genius

Im considering buying a bundle which includes Space Engine and Universe Sandbox. I would get both of them for 20% cheaper than it would be for both of them seperatly. I also have wanted universe sandbox for a while. I dont know much about Space engine however. I just want to ask if it would be worth it spending the ~10ā‚¬ extra to get Space engine aswell instead of just Universe Sandbox.

Spaceengine is a 1:1 scale universe simulator, that is LITERALLY THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE. You can explore habitable planets, watch the sunset from a hyper giant star, or a more ā€œRealisticā€ exploration with various futuristic ships that you can control. Think of Cosmos, but you are Carl/Neil in the ship of the imagination. You can also purchase a previous version from the spaceengine website, but the current one is much better.

I found this by looking at the development forums.
cool fish
I will not give the context.

We will have a bit of activity when 0.5.9 is released (is it June or July after all?) From what Iā€™ve seen on the development forum, we will have some Easter eggs too. Yay

I think hhyyrylainen said that it was in july

From the quick question thread:

Easiest thing is to just check on Github to see if the release milestone has a due date set. Hereā€™s the link: https://github.com/Revolutionary-Games/Thrive/milestones

Why ā€œstrong textā€ is just a bit smaller text?

(This post can be moved to the Quick Question Thread)

Much more active than it used to be.

Still amazed at how much more active this forum is

Itā€™s some kind of font / CSS glitch, which Iā€™m too lazy to try to correct. If someone can come up with the CSS magic to fix it, I can put that in.

I can easily imagine this forum being inactive for weeks. We now have a good argument against those guys on YouTube who comment ā€œThrive is dead as they are still in the unicelular stage after 7 yearsā€

Thereā€™s always the colour.

Which is weird because the bbcode one works
