THE NEW Miscellaneous Talk That Doesn't Deserve A New Thread Thread Thread (Part 2)

Didnโ€™t we already have Santa hats ontop of pfps already this time of the year last year?

@hhyyrylainen, is it because the plugin is outdated?

I just forgot, being busy with trying to fix as many Thrive issues ASAP after the ECS changes. I turned it on now, and it seems to still work as well as last year.

Is it possible to search for the first message of a person on the forum (as if, opposite of searching for their latest post)?

There might not be, at least I didnโ€™t find an option. The closest is to search for posts older than a given date. That way you can jump month by month until there are no longer results to progressively narrow down when the user first posted (using a binary search algorithm will speed this up a lot).

I attended a public lecture at my last university where the speaker argued that it would not be possible to create AGI, as generating enough power to do so would basically destroy the planet. I forget what his argument for that was.

So you are telling me the human brain has enough energy to destroy the planet but no psionics? Dissapointing.

Hey random thought but what would it take to get the Christmas hat to perfectly fit on my PFPs head?

He judged that we wouldnโ€™t be able to make electronics as energy-efficient as human brain cells in the near future. And the destruction was environmentally-based, rather than explosive.

THE KING HAS RETURNED! LONG LIVE THE KING!

This could potentially blow the AI energy requirement issue out of the water:

Scientists fuse human brain cells with electronic circuitsโ€”and make it โ€˜thinkโ€™

Hey everyoneโ€ฆ
I didnโ€™t tell many people, especially on the forum, but there was just one day that a strange idea came to me (who will read later, it will quite fit the subtitle of my user  ) and after several different versions, editing and writing and getting permission (you need to get permission to post there), Today I managed to bring this idea to reality:

In short, itโ€™s quite similar to the forum game I do: you give me something you want to do and I write what comes out, with luck and strange things according to the pattern. So just through this weird idea, this idea was born in a real way, kind of.

All in all, I just wanted to share this with you. On a personal note, I am doing this to improve my English a little more and also to provide motivation and creative thinking for me and I hope to see how it will progress from here.

thatโ€™s it

I like the idea of a book by people. I am no lawyer, and I donโ€™t want to worry you, but what about things like contributor license? Maybe just saying

I grant you permission to use what I created :+1:

might be enough, but I just donโ€™t know.

Perhaps someone with more knowledge on the topic could explain things to me?

Anyways, cool.

Edit: Did I make this message a reply to previous or did I just replied to the thread?

Edit 2: Actually if someone messages you with some ideas then they probably agree they want them to be put there, otherwise why would they send the message in the first place?

When I mean approval there, I mean that the content I publish there meets the requirements there, nothing more. So I donโ€™t have to worry about that luckily (although there are a few exceptions, for example if you publish this story elsewhere, you also have to send the link and proof that itโ€™s mine, because of plagiarism, but itโ€™s not something I should worry about because it My creation and only mine)

With the AI part, they have some points too. I personally use a translator because itโ€™s hard for me to write in English quickly (brain problem), but other than that, this is my creative view and I stated it in the text, so it shouldnโ€™t be too much of a problem.

It seems you sent to the post itself and not to me. Iโ€™m supposed to receive a message that I specifically responded to, and it didnโ€™t happen.

Itโ€™s because of the whole plagiarism thing. They have some points. Even with all that, itโ€™s pretty rare not to approve (write everything there)
I pretty much waited at least 14 hours to get approved, so it doesnโ€™t really take too long and thatโ€™s fine

Make it an optional but free DLC that is rated โ€œTโ€ or โ€œRโ€ for violent themes.
Edit: @Nie , this post was literally just a joke. A science-focused game like Thrive really just has a conflicting atmosphere with the utopianism of the catgirl.

Should catgirls have rights?

I didnโ€™t fully catch that, my bad.

I agree.

You know my view on thatโ€ฆ

What about catboys or dog girls?
