Has this happen to anyone else.
Whenever I quote someone, sometimes discourse just removes the quote section like if the post was orignally
Commentary on that blah
it becomes:
Commentary on that blah
Which is kind of weird?

If you quote the previous post in a thread entirely, discourse thinks that that is bad style and will automatically remove the quote. To get around that I usually reply like this, just normally and make sure my post makes sense even without a quote, or I will quote just a part of the previous post if thereās a specific part of it I want to highlight Iām replying to.
⦠Current predictions say that CCP will invade Taiwan around year 2027, which is likely to cause WW3.
What? Not having to leave home was the best thing ever
not for everyone
but for me staying in the same place for over 6 months with no school was a heaven
I remember this period which is one of the best periods of my life - it was before I started my academic studies (which I am in today). Zoom for the trail was not bad, and probably helped me a lot during my studies.
I can agree that itās not for everyone - itās all about personality and preferences.
It was a trap. The moment I got back to the regular class, with all that noise, sitting in an uncomfortable chair, not being able to ignore the useless classes, I instantly regretted it.
And actually I used google meet, I still have fond memories of interacting socially without having to see colleaguesā faces

Yeah, I agree. I had plans to start socializing myself. Covid-19 effectively ruined them. Now Iām even more isolated from society. I donāt think Iāll be able to go into a crowded space without a mask ever again.
A large earthquake happened in southern Turkey, which turned several cities into rubble and caused at least 29 thousand casualties.
I will be returning to zoom until this summer, because displaced people will be accomodated in university dormatories.

Belgium fear mongering predictions.
The feature as described:
says it only applies if all of the following are true:
- IF a user adds a quote at the start (and only at the start) of their post
- AND the quote is of an entire post
- AND the quote is from the immediate preceding post
It seemed entirely like a joke to me? Like a doomsday prediction where someone picks a completely random date to make fun of the people who are seriously making doomsday predictions.
So I was thinking about this and, I think this is how starfleet gets away with not having money or making people work.
Very strange. What are your guys thoughts on it?
:-]
?
I mean like in star trek?
What are you thinking? I was talking about the video I posted, I didnāt even read the previous post.
People, strangely enough, arenāt motivated by rewards. They are motivated by the feeling they get from preforming the task, people who expect a reward often do worse than those who arenāt.
i mean if the reward was some mafia not murdering your whole family because youāre terribly in debt, that would probably be a pretty good motivator.
I mean besides basic things you need to do to not die.
