Cells photosynthesising directly would be simpler than using solar panels to convert sunlight into electricity then having the cells convert the electricity into glucose.

The point of using solar panels to power an electricity eating carbon fixer is that you could have robots take care of the organism without needing to fly because the organism is housed on the ground rather than high up enough it won’t just get cooked. And solar panels can get to a much higher efficiency than photosynthesis has gotten to on this planet, which is the only place we have seen life photosynthesize.

Well, who knows, it most likely will come out some day, but there is always a chance that it won’t.

Valve has invested so much time and effort to make the Deckard and its data leaks that it’s impossible they would just stop working on it.
