I guess I’ll share this here as well if there’s someone here who has been waiting for a chance to grab a paid copy of Thrive to support future development: Build your own Holiday Bundle (Winter 2024) | Fanatical

We’ll see how much will be obtained from this… Let’s hope Thrive will attract the sights!

I strangely don’t recall when this happened…

The Witcher 4 is coming, but why did they change to Unreal Engine? Red Engine seems pretty sufficient.

What is the “red engine”? Never heard of it.

It’s the engine that CDProjekt RED made and has been using it since The Witcher 2.

Guess something forced them to ditch it…

I’ve never heard of this lawsuit, what is it?

I just found the title of this article absolute hilarity.

Article link: https://www.cnn.com/2024/12/11/science/conan-the-bacterium-antioxidant/index.html.

The bacterium in question is Deinococcus radiodurans, the second most radiation-resistant organism known. The most radiation-resistant organism is the archaea Thermococcus gammatolerans.

Now I want Arnold Schwarzenenegger to voice a documentary about similar organisms!

Are we sure there’s enough interesting stuff about this bacterium to make an entire documentary on it?

This is why I said “these guys.” I will change to “about similar organisms” to make it less ambiguous.

I wonder if the person who made the original “Evolutions !” Hoax is aware of this game’s existance…

I mean have you played cyberpunk? Red engine can slow way the hell down when pushed too far. Plus unreal has a ton of industry support and a few genuinely unique features like nanite. If I were developing a game with a huge map and wanted to match or outdo cyberpunk in visual awesomeness, I’d want nanite, and I wouldn’t want the engine that slows down rendering alleyways. I’d use either unreal or decima (horizon and i think death stranding). Plus, it’s 2024, all industries must trend towards monopoly.

The thrive Dev team splintered off of his own attempt at making the hoax game real, so he does know about it
