Nearly, although they did contact europeans again between the 12th-16th centuries as the crusaders became relevant and they sent colonists to the crusader states. They also got some gunpowder during this time.

Although to be fair even with the stagnation they were vastly technologically superior to any other subsaharan state outside of maybe the ottoman vassals in eastern Ethiopia and northern Somalia/Somaliland.

Yeah the whole “We aren’t a colony yipee” kind of backfired because all the colony states got free development. So they went from most advanced to least advanced.

Well the GDP per capita growth of the place is pretty high and they’re expected to be in the top 10 biggest economies by 2100 assuming nothing goes terribly. (African Meiji Restoration?)

I think much stuff can cause changes to such predictions in the timespan of 75 years

My main issue with like half of 4x games is that they feel like board games with the tiles and stuff.

I don’t want a board game, I want to physically draw my borders.

There were 3 Mummy movies and separately 5 Scorpion movies, which were a spin off, so at least 8 between them. There are rumors they are making a ninth (4th Mummy).
