Well that was interesting whilst it lasted

Apparently a speculative biology work (Teeming Universe) has gotten a paperback on Amazon.

Expedition by Wayne Barlowe, both After Men and Man after Men by Dougal Dixon are some examples i can think of.
Expedition is a really cool one, i just wished it didn’t cost a fortune for a paperprint… i have the pdf tho

Maybe, i wonder how the site interface would be adapted to an book

Would rain world make a good setting for a book?

I wonder what sort of life would emerge in the future of Rain World?

Isn’t the rain world supposed to freeze over in the future?

Before it freezes over, but after the timeline of the games.

Fairly sure it’s already mostly a wasteland by the end of the last campaign in the timeline (though I’ve mostly heard of what happens in it from CA’s videos)

Could anything be done to save Rain World from its frozen fate?

Divine intervention probably

I wonder what ancient life existed on Rain World…

Maybe we’ll get a prequel exploring that one day

Imagine a Rain World and Hollow Knight cross-over.

There’s a fan theory that Rain World is naturally a cold world but due to the iterators interfering and heating things up it turned into an urban jungle. Not sure how true that one is, though.

Seeing as it’s going into an ice age after those computers died down, that makes much sense

Would Rain World Ice Age just be one in a cycle of Ice Ages, like on Earth, or a permanent freeze?

There’s also another theory tied closely to this which states that the caramel lizards are the wild version of the lizards. Which makes sense considering they’re one of the few lizard types that actually increase in number when the place freezes over. It also makes sense considering they have six limbs and its possible for complex vertebrates to lose limbs but not gain them.

The fan theory implies that Rain World is a naturally cold planet and it was just suddenly brought into warmth after the iterators, kind of like manmade climate change.

So those hexapodal lizards are native animals

Are the slugcats too or are they not from there?
