So I’d assume they’re not native then.

Also means they’re neither slug nor cat

There’s also just straight up earth animals. For example the dropwigs are just giant earwigs and there are just normal rats in the dlc.

It’s not Earth, but the appearance of Earth animals mixed in with strange fauna (hexapods) is strange.

Also, the universe of Rain World doesn’t quite work like ours. Creatures constantly reincarnate and the world of the planet is flat, with the void sea consuming the world below and the atmosphere above creating new matter.

Not necessarily ‘Magic’ but alternate physics. Evolutionary biology, genetics and all the other stuff from our world is pretty much the same but there’s just this added layer of things that happen.

Are flat planets the norm in that universe?

There are normal planets (and a moon) orbiting in the sky in Rain World so there’s that.

So the rainworld is special in this manner. Someone could make a religion out of this!

Well in the universe the Ancients did have a religion involving the world around them and “The Cycle”.
