Ant Eaters are actually very generalist omnivores, they also eat honey if they can get their hands on it.

Some smaller species like tamanduas are pets for certain people, they are considered a “better” alternative than owning a monkey. Although they are hard to come by and are usually poached because of this.

I would rather tamanduas be bred for pets rather than primates though. They tend to do much better in captivity and the main thing that sets them back is their rarity.
