I assume for now we are only/mainly doing the artworks for macroscopic/aware?

Well, i myself am surprised how quickly i’ve finished this.

I call this “Motherly Love”.
Two descendants (An mother, and her child) of Nuori Lonkero , of an species that had achieved colossal proportions, in a rare occasion, swim closer to the upper parts of the sea, possibly due to some sort of primitive ritual involving the beginning of puberty for the young.

I will also start working on mine soon.

This makes me wonder how wellmade will the ones submitted near the end be?

Also took me some 3 hours to do.

Will name this “Abyssal wanderer”
A member of the sedecamorph clade from a species which adapted to deep sea conditions, this detritus collector’s lifestyle is one of eternally plowing through the water column and the sediment with it’s rather robust cirri, collecting organic materials on the feather-like structures over time and eventually consuming the marine snow. Pointing a light upon it caused some reflections…

Is it alright if i created a scene where this guy (on the above) would hunt another guy (on the below)? I suppose its just concept ideas soo

You can do that, though I suppose it would be rather appreciated if there was more to it than just these two groups of species, perhaps some kind of an environment for them to be placed in?

What 3D modelling tool do you recommend for making them? What’s the deadline?

Are you asking blak of juuzo?

It’s supposed to be closed in 2 months

Asking to contest holder which I assume Juuzo? But anyone who knows a good one is welcome.

I tried Blender in the past but it feels too complex for me.

I believe juuzo used womp to make these metaball models

Yes. I used Womp. It at least helps create a 3D image for reference that’s better than just my flat 2D side profiles

Soooo uhhh İ was thinking abt Folia Lutea evolving black pigments in the south pole to get more energy while not overheating because uhhhhh the water is cold or smth, so I opened Google Translator to translate “Black Leaves” into Latin and uhhh…it gave me Folia nigra…..at least I know the origin word ig…

EDIT: I accidentally replied to a reply and not to the post itself ^_^’

Um I don’t think the latin world for the color is offensive in of itself when used in the proper ways?

Pangonia orbits 2 stars, one of them being a red dwarf star with a titled orbit. The terrestrial plants will end up using red algae symbiotes to take advantage of the extra sunlight.

However your idea can show that certain species were already experimenting with pigmentation colors near the poles (however since black absorbed all light colors it shouldn’t dominate over the main yellow pigment)

So it could become similar to the deep faring brown kelp?
