There
Hopefully my edit fixes it?
Ill await mito’s judgement
Cool!
Also, I finished the long list of organism descriptions if you want to look at it
Think it’s only Willow, Hazard, and Sci who haven’t voted, so I couldn’t include their votes from this round in their species descriptions
Edit: just let me know if I messed something up when describing your species everybody
Hopefully, mine one won’t be just a fish by the round 18 event
I mean you have claws and can change colors, that’s cool at least
next round is an extiction event
S. aurata
- muscles around the hydrogen bladders to make being in water easier
- frontal lobe to increase the abilities of the darwin lobe
- new mandibles for holding eggs to remove them from danger quickly
also i’m gonna use the darwin lobe to make a breed of kithos thallassena that’s just bigger
S. radicatus
- enlarged and contractile hydrogen bladder
- hydrogen pouches in the egg cells once they are fertilized
- cellulose exoskeleton
S. aurata have their cell walls made of glass through the entire pincers, not just the surface of them
Sure, sodium would naturally want to bind with chlorine again, but if I constantly split it, it’s fine. And with carbon tetrachloride, I completely forgot the temperatures required, so I’ll replace that mutation with missiles having chlorine sacks, so when they blow up, they’ll produce CCl4 (I’m pretty sure burning with chlorine produces it). I didn’t realize it would sink in water though, but it still is quite lethal if it’s being released in an explosion, so it’s fine, at least I still get to poison the air and everything that is near my missiles!
the thing you want to stop the sodium from turning into isn’t salt, it’s sodium hydroxide, you’d need to remove all the water from the cells you break apart the salt in to keep it sodium
Ohhh, but since I’d be actively expelling it, it wouldn’t do too much harm to me, but for everyone else…
No, it would still hurt you since you are just expelling what is produced by your organism not what enters it.
Also, again, it would take so long to have a significant effect that any other organism would already have adapted.
Qnd Legendicus already has adaptations that allow it to cope with it.
I said too much, the cells would just have to regenerate a bit after each time they seperate salt, and that doesn’t even matter, because they could just have specialized vacuoles that are free of water.
Also, what mutation saves you from me pumping out chlorine, carbon tetrachloride, and sodium, which bonds to water to form sodium hydroxide?
EDIT: If I cause an apocalypse, I might as well go all the way, I will change mutation 1 to be a massive increase in missile size (as much of an increase as you will allow, Mitobox).
And what mutation saves you from that?
@everyone we need to make the Thrive Avengers
Mutation 1: Defensive nematocysts on body that inflict severe hemorrhaging and intense pain on potential predators.
Mutation 2: Stronger nematocysts that can pierce through thick skin.
Mutation 3: Stronger fins that enable Minacia chirodropoides to crawl on land for short periods of time.
Mutations
- Bigger brain
- Lungs
- More bones and muscles in the limbs
Didn’t Mito say it wouldn’t work? They get the final say
That didn’t answer my question, and my ability to turn chlorine into CCl2 protects me from chlorine, and I don’t even have to worry about touching carbon tetrachloride or sodium hydroxide, because they fall.
EDIT: So heres my final mutation choices (if you let me):
Increased missile size (as much of an increase as you’ll let me)
Chlorine production.
Chlorine resistant scales (the bombs can now store a mix of chlorine within their hydrogen sacks, so when they blow up, they also release carbon tetrachloride as a byproduct from burning with Cl instead of O2).
I feel targeted, this is a direct counter to my mutation lol
Tho tbh eating the missile cast was just an opportunistic choice, it wasn’t why I really wanted the anti-burn
i shall make my next S. aurata mutation beneficial to your species since you don’t have chlorine resistant eggs, also shouldn’t the chlorine production be paired with storing it in the missile caste if you’re going that route instead of with the scales?
Oh, the scales would be part of the eggs to start with, and the missiles do store chlorine, the scales are both internal and external, so chlorine is mixed in with a missile castes hydrogen (it already says that in my post).
I feel targeted lol, you’re the one flying predator, and just decided to start eating my missiles
oh so your eggs aren’t unicellular anymore?
I mean but to be fair, I gotta be able to eat everything
And if I eat your already suicide castes then it doesn’t rlly affect ur population long term
But ye that was kind of the joke I was making lol
