Thrive Rules of Nature Competition

Extinction is a serious thing you know?

only if you don’t pull a tardigrade maneuver, also space ants or space porpoises would be far more efficient. now shut.

How? No matter how much time you spend in cryobiosis(? I forgot the name of tje thing) it will always end up with them being unfit and dying because they use too much energy.

this isn’t related to the thread, so shut or reply in a different thread, i know the problems with space ants, i know the workarounds to the problems, if you want to bring up the problems, do it in the space whales group chat.

Actually, this is very relevant to the thread since you mentioned doing it in the game.

it is far more relevant to an existing thread, so that’s where it should go. this is the relevant thread. put it here if it’s about anything space organisms that hasn’t already been made in the game or that you aren’t planning to make in this game.

I just said I wanted to do something that isn’t earthlike, why has this turned into a space whales argument?

Because willow assumed you wanted to force everyone to make something that isn’t earthlike

Really Frale? The argument had stopped because it wasnt on topic, there was no reason to bring it up again.

Edit: Even if heheh were planning to do something similar in game, it is up to Mito whether or not it can happen if and when they choose to try to make that organism, not your job to disprove it a dozen rounds before it happens

that is incorrect. i merely made an observation and suggested more reasonable ways to do something similar.

To prevent further clogging, regardless of right or wrong, could you guys please just move this to a pm or something if you are going to continue?

The space whale portion of it, not it’s entirety, I shouldnt even have to point out such simple things.

I’m gonna justify some of the weirder stuff I’ve done just because.

Living in both salt and freshwater environments is actually done by some fish, besides, I’m not actively swimming in water, I stay in the air, so maintaining salt levels would be quite easy.

Neural claws are definitely the weirdest I’ve done, but if an axon became partially external, and had a way to wrap itself around that of another cell, they could connect the brains of two creatures.

Also, please explain why you mentioned castes when talking about the non LAWK stuff I did.

neural claws are actually pretty reasonable even without partially external axons in many ways including chemoreceptors and short range pheremones, electrogenesis and electroreception, bioluminescence and photoreception, vibrations and mechanoreception, etc. also ants literally have an entire caste that’s just a door so those castes are definitely pretty reasonable

Before anyone corrects me, I know dendrites would also have to be on the outside of the creature, I just forgot to mention it.

I also forgot to mention hydrogen bladders, and it seems the only reason they aren’t on earth is because wings evolved first, because in the short term, they’re better, but if hydrogen bladders evolved first, they’d have time to turn into bombs, so they’re better in the long term.

I feel i saw a discussion about this here on the forum where it was explained why hydrogen bladders didnt evolve

Probably.
I would probably guess it is Because there is a lack of hydrogen in the atmosphere compare to N2, O2, CO2 and Ar

You can get hydrogen from water, so the actual atmospheric concentrations don’t matter.

It actually is because evolving hydrogen bladders makes no sense since you would have stages in which it simply decreases your overall fitness before actually being usefull
