Edit: I would also like to note a potential worry with this research as an entirety - most concrete research has been done by the infected. While I normally would not call my fellow researchers work inept or untrustworthy, it remains true that they could in some way be under some unknown mental influence from the virus which manipulates the results that we are receiving, whether directly or indirectly. At the very least, the rest of the foundation would not accept results discovered by those under the influence of the virus, and as such I propose we find several uninformed, trusted researchers to perform their own blind research, only telling them how to avoid infection, and then we can compare the results in a way that is sure to be accepted by all parties

also, senior researcher twilight, i would like to note that, as SCP 8610 is able to spread through pheremones, blood, light, and sound; any person who isn’t immune to memetic infection by SCP 8610 and does any research on it, even if they have no idea what SCP 8610 is beforehand, will result is their infection. so it is highly recommended that i be studied first to make a team of nonviolent, 8610 immune researchers before we even assign anyone to the task of blind research.

btw for some reason 8610 can be contracted by a brain in a jar with the only things going in or out being blood and a tiny amount of light. that said we now have an escaped and then re-contained nervous system that has recently grown all the rest of the nerves the human body has as well as eyes. luckily it can’t move yet as it doesn’t have muscles and it hasn’t reached stage 4 yet based ol the position of ear nerves. currently i just have it in a tank of heavily oxygenated sterilized water that’s made to mimic the conditions of the human skull, and the two tubes that were keeping it alive still connected, but if(or more likely when) it grows a circulatory system i’m gonna be disconnecting them and giving it a lot of dead red blood cells.
basically that means SCP 8610-2 instances might be able to be sent to the future with the foundation’s time machine as long as we’re in a vat of hemocyanin that takes oxygen from the environment around it and the vat itself has no biological components, because, if i am correct about the extent of our regeneration abilities, we’ll just grow our bodies back.
that does beg the question though, what happens if you take the brain out of an animal, keep it as alive as possible without a brain, and infect it with SCP 8610?

The only known living being that is immune to SCP-8610 is Centaurian, so i think we need to research how to turn researchers into genetically modified catgirls, how i suggested before.

i may not have tested my immunity against infection though contact with SCP 8610 blood, but i know i am immune to memetic infection by 8610, which will be sufficient for the foundation to believe the researchers and not make them think we intentionally infected them with 8610 before having them research it.
we have 18 and a child out of 36. the child was multiple mole rats and all the mole rats that bite them just turn into liquid, spread evenly across under their skin, and turn their excess skin into stem cells to not cause flaps of skin. we can get more uninfected mole rats, but all the ones we have are infected with 8610-0, so with them we can see how fast they’ll regrow a brain, but not how fast a brain grows back based on time between infection and the animal waking up
I thought it was because they already had catlike features so you were fighting fire with fire if im not mistaken. But yeah, the Foundation can’t just make a cure like that because its pretty much infecting people with SCP-8610 so that they can’t get infected again

also try making a clone of willow. while we are twins, we aren’t identical. which means they’ll have immunities i don’t.
