just decided to interrupt the convo here because i felt like it
Alright, so i got the three of the -:3 instances we currently have (Sylvie, Lylith and Brooke, for record)
During the start of the experiment, they acted like just regular kids doing regular kids things. Running, talking, playing silly games and such.
However, at some moment while they they were spinning in a circle, they stopped and started looking at each other strangely. Seconds later, they returned to normal.
I’m going to repeat it tomorrow.
By the way, what is dr. Nigel doing?
training
For fighting, or strangely enough for something else?
both are true.
yknow, its hard to develope a game when youre busy.
so im training both my brain and my body
So you’re developing a game? What game?
Last time i saw him he was binge watching jujutsu kaisen for the fourth time
Are you stalking them or just saw it by an accident?
a survival game with infinite “infinitely” generated random levels
its a work in progress.
Whats the premise and style?
Horror? Sandbox? Mobility?
And what style of terrain?
Backrooms-esque or Minecraft like?
both of these are true. planning on making the creatures/enemies random, too. its quite ambitious though so dont get your hopes up/
(plus i have zero game development experience)
Is it real or just something your character has been up to?
I also have miniscule game dev experience.
I took a game dev class once in high school want help?
(I understand how things work but not how to do it, for example how terrain generation works, but not how to code it)
100% fake, totally dont have any screenshots of it so far.
(im making it in roblox studio)
as for help, i think im gonna try and see how far i can get with my own skills. maybe in the future.
Ooo
You could also do levels that are in an enclosed space,
Like make a few tiles that can be placed in these levels, randomize a few factors, or make the tiles check adjacent tiles to check if they line up, and then have infinite randomly generated 3d mazes.
You could even try to make it so that there are a variety of height values per floor, so you can be walking along a hallway and suddenly there’s a wall that leads you to a narrow gap you’d have to crawl through that induces anxiety and wait I’m describing the backrooms. It’s all backrooms all the way down.
yup. i plan for it to be like a 50/50 chance for levels to be in an indoor or outdoor setting
So what is the horror aspect?
Is there a monster that will chase you?
Will you be able to build?
Will the monster learn from your actions to hunt you with maximum efficiency?
I’m already drawing out an algorithm.
randomly generated monsters per level. there may be some creatures that are the same across levels, however.
as for building, yes.
destruction, also yes.
random rng may create a scary looking level.
Does this discussion fit the thread anymore, or is the game planned to have a catgirl / SCP entity?
