if someone consents to you cutting off some of their flesh to eat it, It’s perfectly legal to do so, and if the flesh is already removed, either via injury not caused by a person the flesh doesn’t originate from, with consent from the person it was removed from, or not by you, as long as the person it’s from consents, it’s perfectly legal in countries that don’t directly outlaw cannibalism, since, generally, the only things prevent you from legally eating human flesh are murder, assault, destruction of property, and corpse desecration laws.
And, since, to legally eat someone’s flesh, you are required to get their consent, or to be the source of the flesh, to legally eat human flesh is to ethically eat human flesh.

Masochists, people who don’t want a limb(if you’re a surgeon), people who have tumors that need removal(either if you’re a surgeon or if there are no surgeons available to them), people who like the idea of having their flesh be eaten by people they’re close to,

I’m in at least two of them.
Oh, came from a d-class who was getting the death sentence because he used the ‘candy van’ and left the children he lured in with it murdered, and because he was really against getting eaten, and monsters like that don’t deserve their preferred death.

I wonder if giving out limbs to other people for them to eat these limbs would be more popular if it was possible to grow fully functional limbs and then reattatch them to people AND Prions could be eliminated as a threat in cannibalism.

Since 8610-2 instances have the same kind of cells 8610-3 cells use to digest things in their gut microbiome, they’re much more resistant to prions, but not immune. So I wouldn’t go eating any brains that are full of prions even if you turn into a -3 instance.
If a -2 instance becomes entirely made of -3 cells, would they still be a -2 instance? If not, what would their designation become? 8610-3S?

Is it possible for a 8610-3 instance to recover from a prion disease are will they be doomed to die?
They could probably just figure out which cells have prions, encase them in phagocytes until they become a pearl, and get rid of them.

What if the prion infection had already progressed to every neuron of their body?
The 8610-3 instances don’t need neurons. They do need neurons to keep their shape from becoming more than a puddle, but they can grow them back as long as they don’t get too dehydrated.
The reason humans need neurons is cause we need them to regulate the things that get oxygen to all our cells, and a puddle less than a millimeter thick can just let it diffuse in
