SCP 8610-0 is a purely memetic virus that can be spread via learning about SCP 8610, touching the blood of an 8610-2 instance, or by touching 8610-3 fluid.
memetic infection starts from the brain, works its way down the nervous system, and then infects the body tissues
SCP-8610-1
the first stage, and precursor stage to 8610-2. it only lasts for a week at most, unless it’s from a strain mutated to lengthen it.
8610-1 instances typically have two sets of vocal chords, one feline, and one humanoid, as well as cat=like eyes that retain their range of sight, and changes in their mortor cortexes to allow for moving ears, a tail, and whatever limbs a mutated strain may cause to grow, like they’ve been there for years.

Wait where is this site located again? Siberia?
I thought it was probably near other more important Foundation sites like Site-19 and 17 because those get mentioned a lot
but then the debate is on where those sites are

Why would sites be next to each other? Wouldn’t it be safer for them to be far from other sites?
Easier logistics and transportation.
This brings up the question, what does Site-33 actually do?

Probably storing a lot of SCPs and stuff is it’s main function.
That’s every site. I wanted to ask people if there was already existing history on Site-33, but I guess not.
I’ll assume it’s a regular site, which got assigned to the SCP-8610 precursor, and once SCP-8610 was discovered, they got it sent their way.

This is where Gamma-14 works.

Any staff who are suspected to have SCP-8610 will be placed here, so that MTF Gamma-14 and the Medbay can observe them, If one does have 8610, they will be transported to the containment chambers. If not, they may return to the dormitory.

There is no way any random Foundation facility can be the size of Manhattan
How many people would you need to maintain that?
The Foundation doesn’t employ billions for every facility to be the size of a city. Imagine having to keep THAT secret.

No I think only people in one or two wings are catpeople.
unless we have multiple research wings, then yes.
and my character has her own room-sized-house thingy next to her lab
and i always imagined there were like, at least 1,000 people living and working in the faciity

So it’s far larger than what computed drew?
in my mind, it’s at least the size of a medium village and (including the basement) 3 stories tall
i also feel like site 33 would be almost entirely dedicated to research, with minor focuses on containment and handling of dangerous SCPs, and helping out other foundation sites
oh, also, how much pto would you say my character’s accumulated if she’s been working like, every day since she got hired unless she gets sick until like, thursday last week?
