Species name: Iku
Scientific name: Dente Lacerti (fang lizard)

Planet: Keai-kuo

Habitat: Iku live exclusively in deeply wooded areas of Keai-kuo which are far removed from most other sectors on the planet.

Appearance: The Iku are lizard like creatures covered in strong scales across their whole body. Iku live to be 10-15 earth years and can grow to be 50-70 min kg.They have long tails used to counterweight the body in front of the legs. Adults are bipedal but the young start out as quadrupedal and work their way up to standing. They have bony ridges along their back and tail for defense from predators. All Iku have a green crest on the top of their heads, but female’s are split near the top. Females have the eye area of their head colored green while male’s whole head are green colored. They have very strong legs in order to sprint very fast.

Behavior: Iku are solitary creatures and hunt small herbivores which have great defensive sysrtems. The Iku charge at their prey and hope that the prey is to shocked to run away. Iku are fiercely territorial and will fight any Iku that are within their territory.

Sexual behavior: Iku reach sexual maturity at age 4 and are sexual reproducers and do not mate for life. During mating season males try and find a females to mate with the following results in males fighting over a single female. Females have to raise children on their own for 3 years before the children reach maturity.

Species name: Ambulcarcin

Home Planet: Litus
Geology

Litus as a dwarf planet located in the Outer Tenebrarum. It is around 50% land (in the form of sandstone) and 50% water. It only has one landmass. Said landmass is a continent with two mountain ranges one the Northern and Southern ends, two beaches on the East and West, and a single large desert in the center.

Biology

The Eastern beach and Eastern sea is densely populated by red moss, which is where the ambulcarcin first came from. Despite appearance, the ambulcarcin are not a separate animal from the red moss. Rather, the species as a whole is the result of a hyper-evolved strand of a blight the red moss experienced centuries ago. As such, the ambulcarcin require the red moss, not only for digestion, but also for reproduction. Much like moss from Earth, the cells of the red moss native to Litus (as well as the ambulcarcin) are protected by a layer of chitin. However, this chitin differs from Earthly chitin in that it has iron, giving it its red coloration. Additionally, there are four species of red moss: crimson, scarlet, rust, & carmine.

Anatomy

The body of an ambulcarcin has 3 main sections:

Head

Externally, the head has thousands of simple eye-spots and bioluminescent points. Each of these can, respectively, perceive and give off different wavelengths, meaning the ambulcarcin can see and emit radio waves, microwaves, infrared waves, light, ultraviolet rays, X-rays, and gamma rays. Internally, the head is the center for the ambulcarcin’s simple nervous system.

Torso

The only notable external feature of the torso is a large tentacle-like appendage. At the end of this appendage is a bulbous organ that ends in a tip that resembles a stinger. This organ is used as a way to ingest and reproduce with the red moss, and the tip is used to scrape chunks of moss into piles that make reproduction and digestion easier, though most ambulcarcin also use the tip to carve into the sandstone mountains. The torso contains two sacs, responsible for the creation and storing of reproductive and digestive fluids. These sacs lead into their own respective tubes along the arm, that split into smaller tubes, each of which end in an orifice, where the fluids are released as glands. The tip is made from highly condensed chitin, and can pierce human skin easily.

Legs

The legs are by far the simplest body part of the ambulcarcin. They are similar to human legs, aside from the fact that they don’t have toes or any bones. Instead, they are filled with cartilage. Unsurprisingly, the ambulcarcin uses these legs to walk.

Additional facts about the ambulcarcin’s body:

  • Above the red chitin it gained from the red moss, the ambulcarcin is covered in a thin layer of tissue.
  • The height can range from 5"11" to 7’0".
  • The growth process takes 5-8 days. This process begins when an adult ambulcarcin infects a patch of red moss, transitions to larval state, where the eyes, arm, digestive/reproductive system, and legs are developed (in that order), and ends with the fully developed ambulcarcin gaining consciousnesses and stepping away from the moss it was birthed from. Though this process is asexual, an adult ambulcarcin can “fertilize” another’s offspring (if it is in the early larval stage), by releasing reproductive glands onto it. Fertilization usually happens by accident.
Mental development

Due to low brain capacity, the ambulcarcin have not developed a society. However, they have developed a form of communication and language that they communicate to each other by emitting/receiving rays and waves from the dots on their face. They have also developed a form of astronomy, by looking at the various waves in their planet’s atmosphere, and carving what they look like onto the walls of the sandstone mountains, even going so far as to create vocabulary with which to label drawings, and even making notes of similarities between separate drawings. The species has achieved proto-sapience, but mostly uses it for these astrological purposes. The only other use these creatures have for their intelligence is sorting and counting the moss, which they only do occasionally.

Species Name: Naiju
Scientific Name: torporibus simia (Sloth Monkey)

Planet: Keai-Kuo

Habitat: Naiju populate the jungle regions of Keai-Kuo and rarely venture out unless starving and in search of food.

**Appearance**

Naiju are small gorilla like herbivores. They have long, strong hands in order to climb trees and strong feet for fighting. They also have apposable tails in order to hold food or grasp trees. Naiju are 4 ft tall and 1.5 feet long with their tail being an extra 2.5 feet. They live to be about 12 earth years. Naiju are of a dark brown coloration with their arms being a lighter color. Naiju bony humps on their back on which their young cling onto. Naiju cannot hear so their eyesight and smelling capabilities are extremely good. Naiju have large hearts and lungs in order to endure the large distances they travel each day.

**Behavior**

Naiju behave much like gorillas in the fact that they travel in packs with a dominant male leading them. Naiju nest in trees to escape from any predators. All Naiju in a pack obey the alpha and if they don’t they will be attacked by the alpha. If another Naiju challenges the alpha, a brutal fight occurs and only one male will live to see another day. Naiju infants use their tails to swing around and have fun while their parents are off foraging for food.

Sexual Behavior

Naiju reproduce sexually. All mating rights go to the alpha of the pack, so most males attempt to challenge the alpha in order to gain breeding rights. Naiju give birth to live young who drink milk. Naiju pups follow their mom around until the age of 1 and a half, at which they are fully grown, and then move off into a different pack to challenge the leader. Naiju are sexually mature at the age of 2.

Species Name: Ukai
Planet: Keai Kuo

Sub- species: White Ukai

Scientific Name: Salamandra Pisces (salamander fish)

Habitat: White Ukai live in the complex cave systems under the surface in the underground rivers and ponds. Though they can venture out onto dry land for short periods of time.

Appearance

White Ukai are extremely pale creatures due to the lack of light. They can grow anywhere from 15 cm to 25 cm. White Ukai have external gills, but they also have extremely underdeveloped lungs. White Ukai can live to be almost 50 earth years and have extremely slow metabolisms and can live without food for 2 months. White Ukai have fins at the back of their tails and have 4 arms, which are their means of propelling themselves. White Ukai cannot hear, and their sight is severely hampered by the skin covering their eyes. However, White Ukai have a relatively good sense of smell.

Behaviour

White Ukai spend their long lives foraging for food, which consists of tiny animals or under water vegetation. White Ukai spend most of their time doing nothing, to conserve energy. White Ukai are usually indifferent to other White Ukai. But during mating season they will attempt to mate with the other White Ukai. As soon as the eggs hatch with babies, the mother leaves them to survive on their own.

Sub- species: Brown Ukai

**Scientific Name:**Lutum Salamandra (Dirt Salamander)

Habitat: Brown Ukai dig burrows into the ground in forested areas.

Appearance

Brown Ukai are brown colored and get lighter as they grow older. They look similar to the white Ukai, except they have ears and don’t have gills or a fin on the back of their tail. They also have eyes, that are covered in a very thin film to protect them from dirt. They are about the same size as white Ukai except they can grow up to 35 cm. Their back legs are strong for moving dirt and their front legs have large claws for digging.

Behaviour

Brown Ukai Are borrowers and live solitarily they feed on small organisms in the dirt that fall into his burrows. Brown Ukai Don’t like others of their kind and will fight to get them away. Brown Ukai sometimes come out from underground to heat up, as they are cold blooded. Brown Ukai leave their nest every year to find a mate. They lay the eggs in small burrows. Once the eggs are hatched they climb out and start looking for food.

Species Name: Faiju
Scientific Name: simia dolor (Smart monkey)

Planet: Keai-Kuo

Habitat: Faiju populate the jungle regions of Keai-Kuo and rarely venture out unless starving and in search of food.

**Appearance**

Faiju are small herbivores, much like the distant cousins, the Naiju. They have long, split tails, very large brains and lungs, but for a sacrifice in their intelligence, they have very thin bones. Unlike the Naiju, the jumps on the Faiju’s back is it’s brain compartment. Faiju also have ears which help them avoid predation. Faiju also have a developed voice box, which helps them communicate better.Faiju are 4.2 feet tall and 1.8 feet wide, with their tail being an extra 5 feet. These animals live to be 15 earth years. Males are dark brown with light spots, and a fin attaching the two tails, while females are all dark brown with no fin.

**Behavior**

Faiju are pack animals with an alpha pair leading them. The alpha position is hereditary, but other males can challenge for a position. Faiju use simple tools, such as sticks for fighting. Faiju also have calls for warning of predators or other important issues. Faiju nest in trees above the ground, where their camouflage hides them better. Faiju infants play games like chase and climb.

Sexual Behavior

Faiju reproduce sexually. Each pair, from the alpha to the lowest position, each breed once every year. Naiju give birth to live young who drink milk until 4 months of age. Naiju pups follow their mom around until the age of one, at which they are fully grown, at which they go and try to find a mate. Faiju are sexually mature at the age of 1 and a half.

Planet Acargania

basic info

Acargania is a planet in the Nebutu system, located in the Goldilocks area. It’s separated into 3 continents: the Mainland, the biggest continent of the 3. Shaped like an upside down pear, it has the most varied biomes, including giant pine tree forests near the north, a vast and extremely dense jungle that contains about 40% of the total wildlife near the middle, a large fertile valley surrounded by a tall mountain range, giving it the nickname “the crater of life”, at the western-most part of the Mainland, and many more. The other continent, located North-West of the Mainland, is called the Deathland. It’s a hostile area, ever since the nuclear meltdown of 4306 (for reference, the current Acarganian year is 4701), where nation leaders usually conduct their less stable tests and expirements. It’s a huge desolate lifless continent, composed of either superflat rustsand deserts (the home of the elusive Sluggards (description later if interested, or visit the “ill draw your organisms!” thread), prized for their polyvalent blinding venom, used by the street police), or sharp, bland-coloured mesas, which is where most of their uranium is mined. It’s the smallest of 3, ranging about the same size as present-day Australia, and the only F’Narr who live there are workers. The final continent is the New Sea Land, nicknamed that way as researchers found evidence that it was a sunken continent that had risen back near 2000 AY (Acarganian Years). It’s one continent about half the size of Mainland, surrounded by lots of archipelagos and lone islands. It’s a popular tourist place, as the East coast is full of redsand beaches (less concentrated iron than rustsand) and overlooking their star as it sets, Megis-12, is a sight to behold. It has lots of jungles and different forests with lots of trees, including a giant mushroom forest! The islands are very abundant in rare fruits and spices, and some of the bigger ones have extremely fertile land. Unfortunately, Paragos, an infamous island, was deemed unsafe for F’Narr habitation, as it was heavily polluted by a private company, which had abused pesticides and growth agents to try and pump out as much white spice as possible, as it was the rarest and most difficult spice to harvest (might explain in a different post if interested). There are only 2 recognised oceans, simply called the Quick Ocean and the Deep Ocean. The Quick Ocean is very small and shallow compared to the Deep Ocean, sit was fairly quick to traverse, giving it its name. The Deep Ocean, previously called Large Ocean, was renamed after researchers discovered that the ocean was so deep, the bottom water was compressed into ice because of the enormous pressure. Both oceans have relatively the same creatures, temperatures and characteristics, mainly the domination of supercreatures, nicknamed the Leaders. The Leaders are very old and very big apex predators that date back to prehistory, before the eruption of the megavolcano Busto that wiped out almost all life, leaving open room for a new niche of dominators. The extra carbon emitted made the Oceans more acid, which somehow helped developing the Leaders. The Leaders are actually Prawnrippers, huge fish the size of 4 whales, with a huge toothless jaw they open and just swallow anything that enters, much like a whale. Interestingly, they developed lungs, which are so big, they can stay underwater for weeks, and wait up to 2 whole days to breathe in to full capacity. Not surprisingly, prawnrippers don’t move a lot, and usually wait to be taken by water currents. No one knows yet how they breed or their intimate life, because they are rarely seen, as they tend to stick to the Deep’s Bottom, near the solid zone.

That’s all I got. I can go more into detail if you want, but my next post will be about the F’Narr race.

And now, the F’Narr empire!

F'Narr race
  • History: The F’Narr, ever since their primitive days, have been notorious for destroying their opponents violently, which may be why they always shoot down anyone who tries to contact them. In their history books, their heroes were usually those who razed the most villages or those with the highest body count to their name. It’s not surprising that once they hit nuclear technology, and knowing how they were warmongers with buttery trigger fingers, their International Counsel of Nation Leaders (icon L, for short) banned anyone from going nuclear for military use, and crippling sanctions were imposed to felons ever since the meltdown of 4306, obliterating an entire continent by accident. Their most famous war was the International war of 4562, where 38 of the 98 countries (there weren’t many because the small ones would be absorbed) simultaneously declared war at eachother, and it lasted 3 years, before a Prawnripper surfaced coincidently exactly where the naval warfare was taking place, and also where the most casualties occured. It was a shamed war, because those 38 countries were humiliated by an animal that could kill more than them. All of those Leaders were publicly executed and their political opponent replaced them.

  • Appearance: F’Narr are quite short, about 1,5m tall, but make up for it with accelerated muscle growth rate, very big, strong hearts (ironic) and a fast metabolism that lets them recover very quickly. Their immune system is also very superior, as those ravaged by diseases were straight up gunned down. There are 2 subtypes of F’Narr: Orlie and Pale. The orange F’Narr, nicknamed Orlies, had orange skin, because of their higher concentration in melanin only native to the F’Narr that makes them radiation resistant, since New Sea Land is an area with a very thin atmosphere. This also meant their skin was very coarse and wrinkled easily. They also looked drastically different to the Pales, where Orlies had small black eyes, kind of like animals, while Pales had more human looking eyes. This is due to the fact that Orlies have no Iris, and would normally hunt at night and sleep in the day, as Orlies are natives of the New Sea Land Jungles, so Megis-12’s rays were rarely seen, while the Gamma rays would still penetrate. Their coarse skin and special melanin made it so their body was kind of spiky, which discouraged the few predators that woud dare mesure themselves to the F’Narr’s serrated claws and powerful bite full of razor-sharp teeth. The Pales were, well, pale. They were basically pale Orlies with smooth skin and no spikes around their body. In contrast, they were very good trackers and tamed and domesticated many animals they used for farming, hunting and combat.

  • Culture: As you could tell by my bio, the F’Narr are zealots. This all started when this old archeologist was digging around what he believed to be an old tribal Orlie settlement. There, he unearthed the Tablets of Spode, 18 of them to be exact, 6 were missing or too worn out to be read. 3 years later, in 4378, he presented the entire history of the N’Butu tribe, whom he nicknamed “Spode’s Tongue”, because of all he oddly specific predictions they made and how every scientific thing they depicted was either correct or undisproven, which only strengthened the archeologist’s faith. He quickly founded his “Cult of Spode”, which exploded in popularity in a few years. It was so popular, that Nation Leaders were starting to get in, and the media was crazy about it. In a mere century, long after that archeologist was gone, his deed was done: he unified the globe under one faith: the way of Spode. Sure, there were still quarrels from time to time, as is natural for the F’Narr, but they were usually quick and peaceful. Unfortunaltely, world peace doesn’t last forever, and chaos fell again as the Humiliation War was waged, much to the dismay of over half the countries, where some went as far as saying the Leader was sent as a punishment by Spode Himself! So, when the F’Narr finally discovered FTL travel (by stealing it from a crashed alien ship and reverse engineering it), they made it their species’ life goal to convert the entire galaxy ti the Way of Spode, wether they like it or not!

F'Narr empire

The F’Narr empire is quite small, as they are quite slow at developing technology, and their warmongering nature makes them very unstable allies, since those who are foolish enough to try to contact them are blasted and invaded, so most of the F’Narr colonies are about 12 other planets working as slaves building them technology, that they mostly steal from others. As for F’Narr settlers, everytime they try to settle, they die from disease or from a supply ship that didn’t come in time, from raiders, or from straight up incompetence. The only colony that seemed to work is Barus in Megis-4, which is the main white spice exporter, since its conditions are even better than Acargania.

Wow this took a long time to write. I tried to justify my spore geno run with these guys but instead, I accidentally made them act like you-know-who’s cyborg empire, so I retconned them in their empirical duties.

Honestly, those were just placeholders, and I was going to change them later.

Edit: Just thought of it now, but fun fact: the F’Narr is very Spore-like because that’s what my first playthrough’s creature was. That’s why they were aggressive zealots, and their design is inspired by my Spore F’Narr. Fun-Fun Fact: The 2 F’Narr subspecies are actually the 2 F’Narr playthroughs I made, because I had to wipe out my save at some point out of my computer. Feeling nostalgic, I recreated the F’Narr empire in a more professional way.

Fa' Skre

The Fa’ Skre are the most intelligent species on Dsark. The Fa’ Skre are a family bonded species and will hardly stray from parents. Until the discovery of flame, the Fa’ Skre travelled in tribes of 15-25. These usually consisted of 5-10 hunting males, about 5 females, and anywhere from no to 5 children, depending on the season. After the discovery of fire, the tribe that discovered it settled near its discovery, and began constructing permanent homes around their religious center, the high rock. These Fa’ Skre were the first to settle, but soon more followed. As the land was rich with materials, the Fa’ Skre didn’t need to farm for a few generations. Eventually, High Rock, the largest settlement with 175 Fa’ Skre, realized the need for farming. They bean creating small farms to supplement their mainly meat diet. And so, the great rise of the Fa’ Skre began.

High Rock is the biggest village of Kulaef, the most powerful Tribe of all Dsark. The Chieftain of Kulaef is the most powerful Fa’ Skre in the entire continent. Kulaef has a large force of warriors and has a very high standard of living because of the richness of Kulaef’s technology.

Biology

The Fa’ Skre are the sub species vendi silvea fitudi of the species vendi silvea. The other sub species is vendi silvea fermita, also known as Fa’ Ske.

Other Creatures
Fa' Ske

The Fa’ Ske are in the same subspecies of the Fa’ Skre. However, they are quite different. They are much shorter, have a hunched back, and have a small brain. The Fa’ Skre view the Fa’ Ske as inferior and actually hunt the Fa’ Ske. The Fa’ Ske are very social creatures and move in packs of 5. They communicate through deep barks and growls.

Aela' Khiin

The Aela’ Khiin are large beasts that populate the jungles of Dsark. They are solitary except for mating, in which they congregate in groups of 10. Aela’ Khiin hunt whatever they want, including wandering Fa’ Skre. Recently, The Fa’ Skre have begun domesticated them. They are used from beasts of burden to transportation to war creatures. There is a certain breed of Aela’ Khiin that is particularly small and is beginning to make it’s way into homes around Kulaef. These are used as pets and transportation of smaller children.

@StealthStyle is my thing good for a fandom page?

So I am going to put my species here but I will edit on information one edit at a time every day because I can’t do all of this on one day
My brain is already overloading with knowledge just looking at some of the posts here

So anyway here is my species, the Gun Crab!

Appearance

The gun crab is a large creature reaching up to three meters in height and seven meters in length.

It has a mostly blue color scheme with bits of purple here and there.

The gun crab has one huge claw that’s usually filled with water, with a small hole so it can fire its water bullets, and another, sharper claw that’s shaped like a hand. It has spikes all over its body to protect it from predators and a tail like a lobster to move around quickly.

It has scaly, thin exoskeleton, a large, short neck, two beady black eyes, and eight legs.

Illustrations of the Gun Crab

Abilities

The gun crab has a few abilities.

Aqua Cutter - It has a special organic gun barrel and a small hole that can shoot water up to deadly speeds (the speed of an accelerating bullet). This is achieved by making the larger claw hollow. The hollow claw also has holes that the gun crab can open to suck in water. The final thing is the special organ within the organic gun barrel that launches water by pushing it out rapidly. The hollow gun barrel also has a cushion around the part that pushes the water out to keep it from hurting itself. The water launched out is small due to the hole that the gun barrel has (about the size of a bullet). It is also sharp to ensure maximum damage.

Toxic Spikes - The spikes on its body protects it from predators, but if they still manage to escape them, the toxins from the spikes activate. The toxins paralyze the opponent, and then proceeds to disintegrate their veins up until they reach a vital organ like the heart or the brain. The process takes no longer than about a minute, and the paralyzation gives the gun crabs plenty of time to find a counter attack.

Echolocation: The gun crab can use echo location to its advantage, as it is more useful than sight in terms of hunting. It makes good use of this ability while underwater. It buzzes it’s jaw loudly to make sound waves to figure out the distance of objects.

Underwater and Land breathing; the gun crab is capable of breathing underwater and above water much like many other sea animals in its planet.

Strong Tail - The gun crab’s tail is a very formidable weapon and it also provides some convenience too. It can whack off its enemies if they get on their exoskeleton, it can also move around quite quickly with it, and it can leap in the air if they use their tail correctly. Due to their thinning exoskeleton, they have been jumping higher with only two meters into the air to about five! They also have been leaping from three meters in length to six.

Water Punch - Obviously their water bullet ability doesn’t come in much use underwater so they have to come up with a different method. Their hollow claw is naturally spring loaded not only to fire water bullets but to also swing their claws with such a force that the water boils in front of it with the speed of a small bullet, much like a mantis shrimp. Due to their larger size they can easily kill its prey with that ability.

Communication - Gun Crabs can communicate with each other by buzzing it’s jaw.

Biological Description

The Gun Crabs are currently the apex predator in all areas where they live, which are mostly shallow seas, beaches, lakes, and swamps.

They reproduce sexually and lay eggs to produce offspring. Their lifespans are generally long, about 150 - 200 earth years.

They weigh normally around 250 pounds to 340.

They have a fairly diverse set of options when it comes to movement. They are generally fast (moving at about 10 to 20 miles per hour at their speediest), they can flick their tail on the ground so they can move in fast, short movements, or they can use their tail to launch themselves off the ground. In water, they are much faster reaching up to 35 miles per hour. They move like dolphins underwater using their tail to do the swimming and using their claws to steer, and the other eight legs to swim with the tail.

Both of their claws are in about equal dominance, with their smaller, and shaped claw being a bit more comfortable to use so they can more easily make tools.

The Gun Crabs are omnivores although meat is a much more attainable and nutritious resource to them. They have no bones, although they have something similar to them, like a part on their back that resembles a spine and something surrounding their head much like a skull, and some material that connects their arms and legs to the part that resemble their spine.

The Gun Crabs have camera style eyesight do they can get a better look at their surroundings. Their eyes also face forward so they can keep watch on what’s in front of them and also to scout for prey.

They have four chambers in their heart, and a brain about the size of a human. They have behavior similar to an early human(more specifically a homo erectus), as they can communicate with each other and they have packs of their own species. They also display curiosity for their environment and grief when one of their family or pack members die.

Evolution of the Gun Crab

The gun crabs were once without their organic gun barrel and instead used their claws to kill prey. They were smaller than before, only about the size of one meter. As their prey began to evolve to be stronger and faster than the primitive gun crabs, and arms race began.

The primitive gun crabs would think of ways to counter attack their prey’s defenses and they prey would begin to counter those attacks.

After millions of years of evolution, the arms race began to fall onto the prey’s side, with them being in packs and them being far quicker and more powerful than the primitive gun crabs.

It was at this time they were evolving ways to attack their prey from afar. They began to evolve organic gun barrels capable of stunning prey smaller than them for a few seconds, which gave the gun crabs time to kill the prey before they escape.

Over time their gun barrels got more and more powerful, eventually to the point where they are capable of severely injuring an animal the size of a small whale. Their exoskeletons also thinned as they needed space to make their organic gun barrels larger. Due to their thinning exoskeletons they began to evolve a bone like structure within their bodies, as well as evolving a larger brain and more social behaviors.

Now, the gun crabs are beginning to make simple tools. They are also beginning to assign roles within their packs, with some defending the home and some of them looking for prey.

Technology of the Gun Crabs

The gun crabs, although they are still primitive in terms of their intelligence, have made many technological advancements.

Ropes - Ropes are very useful for the Gun Crabs, as they can tie sharper things with wood, and they can also tie nets for fish. They are the most important technology for the gun crab right now because they bind most of their tools together.

Stone Knives - The stone knife’s main purpose is to cut up meat so the gun crabs can eat their prey more easily. They can also be used to hunt prey, but using their gun barrels or even their claws about be a much more efficient choice.

Fire- Not long after the gun crabs have gained sapience, they have made fires due to them scraping rocks together so they can sharpen both of them, only for the rocks to burn and make a fire. The gun crab who accidentally made the fire also dropped one of his meat pieces to the ground and picked it up to eat the charred flesh. After eating it, he realized it was much tastier and more nutritious than regular meat so he told everyone about what fire can do. It took a while but they listened to him and cooked some meat. Due to the gun crab’s discovery the other gun crabs made him leader of their tribe. Soon after other gun crab tribes were knowing of the fire and made it themselves too. Fire is mainly used to cook their prey and also to melt objects together.

Spears- Spears are usually used to cut prey apart but from a longer distance.

Fishing Nets - Fish on their aren’t very nutritious, but if you get more than fifty it’s a feast. The nets are made from tree leaves and tied together with ropes. They lure the fish in with some of their uncooked prey, and slowly the fish swim in. After a reasonable amount is collects they cook all the fish at the same time if they are all in their nets.

Planet

The planet of the Gun crabs is named Crabbol, and it orbits around the solar system of Cancer. The location of the system is in the outer Tenebrarum arm.

It has a mostly carbon, oxygen, and nitrogen environment with a bit of hydrogen sulfide
It has a lot of rock formations spiking upward that covers a lot of the land
It also has a lot of water each of the continents and few deserts
Swamps are common in the planet as it has a humid climate
The gravity is also lower than earth’s allowing for larger species of animals
It has a hotter temperature than earth but is much colder on the ice poles than earth is

The Kansar

Overview

Species: Kansar

Scientific name: Kansardas brackura

Diet: Fish and small coastal plants

Size: Average adult height is 1.5m

Technology level: Tribal

Habitat: Coastal areas/Marshes

Location

Planet: Tern

Solar System: Lierse b

Location: Outer Pezzalis (Milky Way Galaxy)

Description: Tern is a watery world with arid landscapes, humid rainforests lining the countrysides, large and fertile coastlines bordering the vast ocean, with sprawling archipelagos harboring the most diverse array of life on the planet. The planet is paired up with a small moon (Bard) that orbits at a distance of 0.002 astronomical units. Tern orbits around a binary star system of Kalas and Certum, the latter being slightly larger and dimmer.

Biology

The Kansar are a race of bipedal crustacean-like seafarers, who make their permanent residence in the tropical coastal regions of Tern. Slightly shorter than the average adult human, they have firm exoskeleton plates that clad their bodies and specialised eyes that help them see clearly in and out of the water. They have 3 claw-like digits on each hand (one of which operating as an opposable thumb).

The typical Kansar diet consists of seafood and coastal plants. Aquatic organisms are vital to a Kansar’s growth and well being, containing important vitamins for their growth. Seaside plants are also important sources of nutrients, but are considered a luxury for those living in rockier regions.

They are a race of 2 genders, which reproduce sexually to create a cast of 1-3 offspring (Fraternal twins/triplets are not uncommon in the Kansar species.). Once the eggs are fertilized by the male, the female carries them in a pouch for the next 7-8 months. The fully developed eggs hatch into newborn infants that must be protected from harm for a further 2 months before their exoskeleton hardens. Due to Tern’s tropical regions lacking any significant seasons, mating happens all year round (although some clans in hotter locations choose to mate before the dangerous storm season).

A Kansar’s exoskeleton continues growing through their lifetime, with ridges and spines becoming more prominent with the individuals age. They can live for up to 70-80 years, remaining able-bodied for a vast majority of their lifetimes.

Society/Culture

Kansar culture is surprisingly complex, despite their peaceful and simplistic lifestyles. They live in large clans of up to 100 individuals, with small dwellings built into the coast. Building materials can vary from place to place, but Kansarian buildings are typically made of plant fiber roofs with trunks making up the walls. Status of a dwelling’s inhabitants are indicated by ornate decorations that adorn the entrance, where guests must gently brush the Ikmala (family totem) with their hands. This is done to ensure that each visiting individual fully understands the dwelling they are about to enter and the family residing inside.

A Kansarian clan typically consists of many equal individuals with different occupations (hunting, foraging, carpenting, etc.), led by an elder chief who is sworn to guide the tribe until death. In some warrior clans, the elders are chosen due to their strength and endurance, but in others they are a source of wisdom and advice. When the chief grows old, they choose an heir and begin educating them on how to best lead the tribe. Although it is not unheard of for an elder to select a member of another family, they usually choose one of their offspring.

Seafood plays a large part in the lifestyle of the Kansar, although there are some organisms that can’t be hunted. The whale-like Blaske are considered sacred by many clans, believed to be the physical manifestations or vessels of the spiritual force that flows through the world. This doesn’t stop some tribes from hunting them however, and they are shunned for their heinous acts. Other creatures are also prohibited, but for different reasons. The Slurd are considered to be evil or mischievous spirits; hunting them could bring starvation or disease upon the tribe.

Boats are in wide use in Kansarian culture, ranging from canoes fashioned from the trunks of coastal trees to large sailboats that use the wind to traverse the seas. Although ships are in wide use among the Kansar, they still pride themselves on their natural swimming ability, using their hydrodynamic bodies for quick hunting trips off the coast. Hunting with spears and nets, their methods for gathering food are simple yet effective.

Some art I did this morning:

The one on top is a mountain dwelling herbivore called the Pointed Hyurn. It eats the hardy grasses and plants that live on the peaks. Covered in fur, and with strong legs, it is perfectly capable of surviving the harsh conditions of the mountains. Make Hyurns frequently fight over territory and their harems of females.

The one in the middle is a Marsh dwelling creature called the Trumpet Gnorr. Named after its trumpet-like call, Trumpet Gnorrs are very social. The coloration of their skin is for display, as it sticks out from the murky environment it inhabits. The Trumpet Gnorr has very many natural predators, but still survive due to their surprising speed and agility. Much larger than it’s mountain cousin, the Trumpet Gnorr eats roots and many other small plants, using its tusk to dig them out.

Last, the Diamond Rhoum is a graceful creature that lives in forests. Mostly solitary, Rhoums come together during mating season. Unlike the other members of Cornupolicem, Rhoum’s horns and tusks are entirely useless, though some have developed them as display organs. Rhoum is also the largest of all Cornupolicem. Diamond Rhoums subsist on grass and sometimes tree bark.

SPECIES: TSELGRIS

Analysis
  • Conservation Status: Least Concern

  • Distribution: 15 billion on Gristor, 20 billion collectively throughout inhabited space

  • Physiology:
The Tselgris are a sapient mammalian species with a robust, muscular build and thick fur that ranges in color from brown to gray. They have a bipedal posture, with two arms and two legs, each ending in exactly five digits. Their faces have a slightly elongated snout, with sharp teeth, and their eyes are large and almond-shaped, usually with a green or yellow iris. Their ears are pointed and sensitive, capable of picking up sounds that are beyond the hearing range of most other species. They’re omnivorous, eating both planet and animal matter. However, in recent decades, they have fully adopted a vegetarian lifestyle.

  • Lifespan and Reproduction:
The average Tselgris can live for several decades due to modern technological advances and the robust nature of their bodies. Tselgris reproduce sexually, with males and females having distinct roles. Like many other species, they engage in courtship rituals and other behaviours to facilitate mating and reproduction.

  • Politics and Culture:
The Tselgris are a highly social species, with a strong sense of community and a focus on cooperation and mutual support. They place great emphasis on the arts, particularly music and dance, and their cities and towns are filled with theaters, concert halls, and other cultural centers. They are also known for their love of food, with a diverse and flavorful cuisine that draws on many unique flavors.

  • In addition to their artistic and cultural pursuits, the Tselgris are also skilled traders and merchants. They have a well-developed economy based on the trade of goods and services, and their trade colonies are known throughout the galaxy for their fair pricing and high-quality merchandise.

  • Contrary to popular misconceptions, the Tselgris have a distinct martial prowess that should never be underestimated.

  • Technology:
Due to their cultural and environmental priorities, the Tselgris have abstained from large-scale urbanisation. Their focus on sustainability and environmental conservation has led them to develop technologies for renewable energy, waste reduction, and habitat restoration. They have also developed powerful communication and information technologies, such as telecommunication devices, computers, and networks of interconnected systems to maintain trade and commerce.
