A Star Gate. You know, a Phyisical Gate with a wormhole (not the same thing as the portals in lux Axioms). Have not seen the Star Gate movie or TV series?

Oh. In the Star Gate Movie, a research team accidentally finds a Star Gate in Egypt in the early 1990s. Later, the U.S. Millitary turn it on, which leads to be another planet. It turns out that the Egyptian gods, and gods of other Pantheons, are actually super advanced extra-terrestrial alien parasites called the Goa’uld that need hosts to survive. Also, they use Pyramids as Spaceships. And after finding ancient humans, the alien parasites decided to take humanity with them all over the galaxy to seed worlds for the past thousands of years. Back in the present, the head scientist of the team falls in love with one of the members of humans on this other planet. However, the research team is attacked by the Gao’uld, killing the woman, and taking the secret Nuke the reserch team had. The head Gao’uld, Ra, wants to send the nuke back to our world as retribution for our world’s uprising in the past. The main scientist, O’Niel, manages to heal his love interest back before the nuke is transport to Ra’s Pyramid, killing Ra. At the end, the O’Niel decides to stay on the planet as the rest of the research team head back home.
