Your Thrive Organism Builds

As the thread title says, what kind of builds (or a consistent type of cell) do you use when playing?

For instance from when I exit the vents until metabolosomes become viable I use a build that looks something like this:

:yellow_square: - chemo proteins
:white_square_button: - cytoplasm
:red_square: - hydrogenase
:white_square_button: - cytoplasm
:green_square: - slime jet

What are yours?

I personally use β€œwarm little pond” as a start. The first evolution I usually make of the cytoblob in that situation is 1x cytoplasm and 2x thylakoids.

If you play as a predator what is your build like then?

A single rustacyanin, the two thylakoids, a flagella, and however many metabolosomes.

So like a generous mixotroph?

Yeah. Although in practice it’s used mainly for eating.

Well as long as the cellwalled cells don’t evolve…

I also generally go for a mixotroph.

I generally use a chemo-hetero build these days as you can see

Been trying hard difficulty lately and it makes hydrogen sulfide so much more viable early game because it’s so common (at least in vents) of course I try to reach the beaches so through that I add and remove accordingly and eventually become a plant. (And maybe later a predator if I can manage)

For me a singular chemo protein can do sustain even a decent eukaryote from h2s alone

Usually do a different build every game

My favorite one is the parasite build, which is accomplished by small size, bulking up on toxin, max health

Just damage prey with a toxisome, get engulfed and likely kill them

Interesting, I generally don’t use toxins because if I evolve them then likely a good chunk of the biota will end up with them too, which has many nasty effects

I wonder if anyone has a largest build that is different from their regular build?

Eh I usually have nearly the same thing as my final eukaryote form, not going beyond since it would make multicellular awkward

I recently made multicellular colony with anaerobic metabolism in center of the colony, and aerobic respiration on the outer portions.

Seems interesting, though at such small scales O2 disperses easily
