What do you mean by that? They also have an evo game?
Never heard about it. Seems to have Spore-level โevolutionโ.
Imagine having to mine iron and rusting it in order to not run out of energy. It would never evolve. Iron isnโt replenished.
"wiki"s exist. People who are actively trying to get achievements would read them. There is no reason to have โhiddenโ achievements.
How are you supposed to try for achievements without knowing them? You may not know about them. Play the game, they pop up on the corner, and that would be fine. But I donโt think achievements are like โspoilersโ. โtry to do everything, you have to predict every such thingโ nobody would want that. If you donโt want to know, just donโt look. โofficially hiding somethingโ is a symbolic attack on the right of freedom of information. Achievements are meta. They arenโt a part of game lore. Nothing is ruined if you see a list of them. โthis game has space stage?!!!โ nobody would say that. even if they do, they wouldnโt regret it.
fun fact. and by fun fact i mean not fun fact. honeydew is urine. ants are drinking aphid urine. trees have too much glucose, and too little ammonia, because they can fix carbon, but they canโt fix nitrogen. they have to get it from the soil. maybe if they could fix nitrogen, there wouldnโt be excess carbon. and wood wouldnโt exist. it would all be grass everywhere. we owe forests to an inability.
aphids eat the glucose from the trees, but a lot of sugar is useless if you canโt get amino acids.
correction: they donโt have a symbiotic algae. they have a symbiotic bacteria that synthesises an amino acid.
aphids eat a lot to get little ammonia. ants use aphids as a faucet to milk the trees. aphids became sessile. the ants move them around. they eat all day, get milked and thats pretty much all they do.
can we really call aphids โanimal-likeโ? they are more similar to parasitic plants now
we can divide non-lawk into โhard-non-lawkโ and โsoft-non-lawkโ hardnonlawk is hard sci fi. our intestinal track already produces methane. it would be very easy to light it up. an example of โsoft-non-lawkโ is โorganisms using ammonia as a solvent rather than h2oโ how does it work, the exact chemical formula of its enzymes and how they interact with ammonia? who knows? how does a planet have ammonia oceans, and also a great oxygenation to make macroscopic life possible? who knows? maybe somehow it works out
Viva Piรฑata - make your species resemble a Piรฑata.
what does a piรฑata look like? is it about the color?
can we really call aphids โanimal-likeโ? they are more similar to parasitic plants now
They are insects, meaning theyโre animals.
what does a piรฑata look like? is it about the color?
Probably just a Llama-like organism with vibrant colors.
Some of those posts of mine where 2 days ago ![]()
Not unusually will quotes grasp for posts even older than thatโฆ
What do you mean by โthe front didnโt move that muchโ?: Start a war and watch how the battlefront donโt change.
The need of the many: evolve an eusocial creatureโฆ
Kamikaze: create a creature that explode as a mode of defense.
Lieutenant Dan! You got new legs! - Make a species that wears leg braces for helping them move around.
'Tis a Scratch!: Live after having all your creatureโs limbs cut off (if it has any)
Who needs limbs? - Make a sentient slug/snail civilization.
Not Enough Limbs?: Make a sapient creature with atleast 5 pairs of limbs (out of which no less than half must have functions different from walking)
Ups, i did it again: in space stage, blow up a planet after blowing another planet.
I need one limb: evolve a sapient species with one limb
Two limbs are better: evolve a sapient species with two limbs
Hit me Baby, one more time! - Make one organism become a pop-star, but is controlled for a long time via a conservatory.
โofficially hiding somethingโ is a symbolic attack on the right of freedom of information
This is a genuinely comedic amount of overreaction. Obviously, copy striking spoilers like youโre Endgame is evil and is indeed a symbolic attack on freedom of information, but no one is proposing anything of the sort, the actual thing proposed is not having an official source of information, which is silly and overkill, but not a symbolic attack on anything.
can we really call aphids โanimal-likeโ? they are more similar to parasitic plants now
This is also a comedic exaggeration. They are literally animals. Are sponges plants? They seem like Venus flytraps to me, sitting and waiting for something to come within grabbing range. For that matter, I suppose Venus flytraps canโt be plants. Etc. itโs kinda hilarious.
what does a piรฑata look like? is it about the color?
Simplistic shapes that result from construction out of mostly cones and tubes, covered in blocky โhairโ made of strips of paper with bright colors and no patterns on the paper. Basically, if it could fit into the art style of Viva Piรฑata, the namesake of the achievement.
Uplift in the Dark Forest: uplift a creature in a hostile part of the galaxy
can we really call aphids โanimal-likeโ? they are more similar to parasitic plants now
For that matter, I suppose Venus flytraps canโt be plants.
Carnivorous Plants get most/all of their energy from photosynthesis and some/most of their nutrients from the animals they catch organic material they consume. Sponges and aphids get their energy from consuming living things organic material.
Parasitic Plants . . . I guess are an argument for programming the separating light and dark reactions of photosynthesis? Iโm not sure.
Parasites are present in all branches of life, even if the least suited for parasitism out of them allโฆ
Sunless Sapling: Create a photosynthetic organism that can survive for several generations without sunlight.
Create a photosynthetic organism that can survive for several generations without sunlight.
You mean generations as in the Myrs between editor sessions?
