Yeah. I mean, they exist right? They evolved from plants. The real issue is that we use plant to mean immobile photosynthesizing large thing, when what plant really means is descended from one line of photosynthetic microbes who evolved complex multicellularity. In the context of thrive I kinda assumed plant meant descended from any line of photosynthetic microbes who evolved complex multicellularity.

Also does this mean that if a plant gradually deevolves itβs plant-like features and then takes on animal-like features, and if the descendants of such lineage attain sapience, are they βsapient plantsβ then or not?

It my first 0.8.1.0 world, the Banana Biome replaced the Coastal Biome. Is it supposed to be an underwater biome?
Coastal is referring to coastal waters. Which to my knowledge are underwater civ territory for any sapient species living within the waters of banana most of the time.
