Ideas for the Macroscopic Stage [Put your ideas in this thread]

Do either of those harbour life?

(Also we should return to the topic of the thread)

No they dont harbour life, it’s very rare to find a gas giant with life
but i have seen some before, typically microscopic organisms, although sometimes
i find ones with ‘‘aerial multicellular’’ life.

(yeah we should definitley return to the topic of the tread)

Uh back to the topic of this tread uhh, how will attacks work?
will the player make the attacks based on the player species
features (like claws, teeth etc), or are they gonna be
premade ones like in the microscopic stage.

By macroscopic, definitely they will be playermade, unlike microbe organelles.

Oh no it’s back…

Also this is meant to be an ideas thread, not “is this thing planned for macroscopic” questions thread. (I did see the discussion moved on from just the bunch of questions about the stage)

How advanced of a neural network would you need to function on a gas giant really? As complex as the terran ones?

Oh i see… let’s not worry too much about that…

I imagine it’d be the same or very similar it’d probably be akin to a neural network used by a underwater creature since floating in gas is kinda similar to swimming.

Or Earthly flying. There are birds here on Earth which only ever need to come to ground in their adult lives to raise their offspring.

The macroscopic stage also applies to immobile organisms (such as sponges, plants, etc.) and it would be very strange if they hatched from eggs.

I was talking about mobile organisms not immobile ones.

Budding might still be an option in macroscopic for the sessiles…

I think that if developers are able to implement sedentary gameplay, then implementing other types of reproduction will not be so difficult for them.

Because they can implement things like eggs or chrysalises easier then?

I would love to turn into a moth/butterfly!

Thankfully insect-like features are planned to end-up in the game.
