Actually, I think he means he is of Indonesian descendent, since Komedi is Indonesian for Comedy Drama. I just did an internet search of the term. Unless I am completely wrong.

If we go by Ancient Greek it just means good ending, like tragedy is a bad end if I am not mistaken though as years gone by the term is now “funny or sad”
