I haven’t seen anyone concerned about languages yet. There was a brief discussion on the topic of communication with other species in the space stage, but that’s about it. And even then, the suggestion was just to make the creatures produce random sounds.
I’d suggest that the sounds your creature makes are dependent on its biology - do they have teeth? To they have a tongue? Do they even have oral cavity? Or do they use any other means of communication rather than sounds? E.g. movements, smells… And regarding the ’’vocal languages’’, maybe it’s just clicking noise. It all depends on the biology of your species. And maybe something similar might be applied to their writing system.
What do you think? Is there anyone else with such a high interest in languages?
(And speaking of the space stage communication topic, I really liked what No man’s sky did, maybe we can come up with something similar)
