Olympus Infernal

Mutation: An organelle that releases proteins that damage other cells.

Action: Go hunt for other, weaker cells.

M: DNA
A: Eat Shards

Mutation: Nucleotides? (otherwise it’s plasmids)

Action: Avoid predators

RNA feature already has nucleotides, I think.

Mutation: shift in cellular replication strategy, instead of reproducing via mitosis, Crackcephalos Fissius now undergoes a careful gemmation; this significantly reduces population growth, but allows the ā€œmotherā€ cell to check for mutations in the ā€œdaughterā€ cell and either apply it to itself or correct it; ensuring the uniform spread of helpful traits and reducing unwanted genetic drift

action: I’m not sure about how much control we have over individual organisms, but I try to encourage migrations throughout the cave system, evening out the populations of different patches and spreading the ā€œbestā€ genes throughout the entire population, turning the ammonia caves’ speciation attempt into a moderate increase in ammonia tolerance species-wide

bonus action: finish exploring the cave system

control over individuals actually scales positively with reactionary system level and type, so with no reactionary system you can make 50 random members of your population move to a specific patch or a random one, but with a level 10 nervous system you could make an individual or a small team of individuals search for a specific soul shard to imbue a weapon with indestructibility and an enchantment based on its perk and make it a specific weapon, or even an extremely specific tool. you can even make it be made in a specific town!

that action requires either having a membrane stability stat or a cytoskeleton

due to me realizing i forgot to give you a second AP from your CRS you have one unused AP

Wait, what was ā€œAPā€ standing for?

oh, ok
A2: Reproduce

BOTH SPECIES:
M: chemoreception to guide cells towards valuable compounds (more CRS complexity).

A: absorb more soul shards.

M1: alcoholic fermentation(to start putting CO2 in the atmosphere)
M2: gluconeogenesis(as a defense mechanism against hostile proteins and to get energy from phagocytosis)

A1: absorb soul shards
A2: absorb soul shards

i’m guessing you’re saving up for something?

So from things I understand about MP, RNA vacuoles are OP early game as they give extra mutations.
Does DNA affect MP?

0.5 of an MP specifically, and you don’t lose it when you move the RNA into a different vacuole to repurpose the RNA vacuole.

yes, it slightly reduces MP but moderately increases survival rate for single stranded DNA, double stranded DNA triples the effects of DNA, but to get DNA you have to get reverse transcriptase but it’s better to have normal transcriptase first. though you could just use double stranded RNA instead if you want to be able to get genetic recombination without giving up as much MP

How much MP does sexual reproduction give?

Correct, However the nucleotides in DNA is different from RNA unless that is irrelevant

I’m unsure if T nucleotide requires a specific mutation

Yeah, hence I gone with the safe route just in case (and even then if that’s the case I did include plasmids)

I wonder how many round will pass until somebody becomes multicellular… We are now only evolving to be at the complexity level of the simplest prokaryotes, lol.

Yeah but to be fair, multicelluar organism is also gonna have a vast deserts and plain to deal with cause only 30% is water on this planets surface
