Not all plants are rooted to the ground. In fact, not all Angiosperms are rooted to the ground. Some float on water and others have β€œaerial roots”.

Irl, plants intentionally grow certain directions, and open and close their leaves, and are not always rooted to the ground, but none of them walk, crawl, or slither. Of course, if I thought I could make it work, I would so make a D. Plumbicare. That thing is insane when it starts sprinting around the walls and ceiling on its pentasymetrical leaves.

iirc isn’t there that one plant that can kinda change it’s entire bodies position but only after it’s been downed, via its roots?

Red Mangrove Seedlings maybe? I am not finding an adult tree that does this, but I could just be missing it.

I think it’s important to be explicit: plants and animals are specific phyla with a common ancestor each on Earth. By definition, any life form on your Thrive planet cannot be a plant or animal.

There might be β€œanimals” walking around on your planet, and those could have Normal/Double membranes and be using muscles, or have Cellulose/Chitin cell walls and be using hydraulic vacuoles. There could also be photosynthetic β€œplants” growing on that planet, using any of the cell membrane types.

For now, none of that is disabled by the LAWK switch.

You can only place one in a cell, so you will want to use specialisation and adjacency bonuses to make them more powerful.

Will this work with adjcency to ATP producing organelles?

The search bar in the Thriveopedia now also searches page content and tags (instead of only the page titles).

Does this mean Players can finally search the Clade Diagram, or does that aspect still need to be added?

I think it should, but I didn’t specifically test it. And BTW the old Thriveopedia search should have already worked for names as they are in the page titles.

Btw are those images of the actymiosin right? I felt like they were the muscle cell type for some reason

Thrive only has a cell adjacency bonuses system, not an organelle adjacency system. So it was referring to placing cells of the same type adjacent to each other.

Previously quite slow, but I believe it was recently already sped up.

those would probably be immobile because of the autotrophy and being settled into the soil, not directly because they have a cell wall.

Actomyosin is indeed supposed to make simple/smooth muscle cells.

This is the current model of the actoymosin organelle, a β€œmuscle celltype” is a celltype that has these inside.
