Quick Question Thread

Will Thrive ever have an immune system mechanic?

I can guess it will probably be added at some point during the macroscopic stages development.

Do you think thrive will ever be played in schools by cool teachers/subs?

Yes, and hopefully some teacher who’s well versed in the coding magic of the game can make a fork or mod where some educational popups so that more teachers use it

There’s still a lot of time until thrive can be used as such a tool… if ever.

perhaps it could be used as funny end of unit/semester/course/reda[fdasijf thing

What does the AI Mutation Rate in Advanced settings (Difficulty) exactly do now? (since the implementation of the Miche System). More MP for AI? More mutation attempts?

Most likely that as autoevo doesn’t operate on MP.

In the new miche system it multiplies the MP limit the AI species are given to mutate. So it basically controls how many new organelles etc. changes AI species can get in a single cycle. Though there are quite a few mutations that don’t cost MP in the auto-evo mutations generation so the setting doesn’t affect those.

It does actually now with the new miche algorithm.

How are Radioactive biomes going to be handled along with the current repertoire of biomes?

I think radioactive chunks will spawn in already-existing biomes, not in some sort of a special biome.

In early multicellular, do cells share digestive enzymes, or are those specific to the engulfing cell?

They are not shared, as they are locally inside just the enzyme storage vacuole.

It doesn’t make it much harder to develop advanced digestion…

Question about time scaling: if you decide to stay in particular stage instead of evolving, will other species still develop indifferently of you?

Yes, and it’s planned that if they manage to reach the next stage of Thrive, that’ll be a gameover condition for you, the player.

So I can’t just stay as an Amoeba for 4.5 Billion years?

Nope. Most likely by then some another branch of life would’ve progressed to more advanced stages of life.
