So, in that case, how would splitting into two creatures, each getting half of the original brain, work? I’m guessing we’d have to vote on it. would we be able to evolve a way for us to essentially have a minion as an extension of our creature though? Like how we (humans) made drones that are essentially an extension of their controllers? If so I have a better, more refined idea than before.

Round Prologue
With no “Ant Monster” being discovered by the volunteers, new theories begin to arise, some start to say that the entire story has been staged while others think that the strange new ant species may have induced hallucinations in the rescuers.
While the newspaper containing the news about the “Ant Monster” in the nearby Reserva did get read a lot, only a couple of people were interested in that story. Some of those rare ones had friends with various biologists and insect-experts. They went ahead and informed them about this strange ant species. By [ROUND 15] the researchers will arrive at the site of the old nest.
At the same time, TO has been expanding it’s nest deep underground…+
The Organism
TO evolved to have very large eyes, which somewhat help it with sight (+50 MH). It has also made it’s venom capable of inflicting hallucinations (+50 S). Besides that, some of sensory hair found on TO’s body has turned into hair-like material (+50 MH).
TO evolved to further become more humanoid, it’s now hard to tell apart where each of it’s segments ends and starts (+50 MH). TO also developed yet another ant caste - a “backup caste” which grows like a tree until TO dies (+63 MH). TO’s armor got damaged from wrongly mutated cells (-25 H). TO also modified it’s voice to sound like it’s coming from everywhere at the same time (+32 S, +32 MH). Another strange development occured in the lower body of this creature - brain-like structures started developing in the more ant-like lower part of it’s body. TO’s armor can now also shift in texture, adding to the camouflage (+50 MH, @Centarian please submit a minor mutation related to substance mimicry). Front limbs of the ant have became more capable of digging thru the soil benath. TO’s armor has also been improved (+50 MH, @Computed please submit a minor mutation related to armour).
At midnight, TO has been observing if any humans are passing by. At this time of the day, no one was nearby, and so TO has snacked on some lifestock animals it found (+75 R). TO also ended up eating an entire tree in order to get a sample of the genes and the chloroplasts (+25 MH, +88 R). TO also tried creating music, it didn’t go too good but it has lured in a few small animals which TO has eaten (+38 R).
TO started expanding the colony, first it expanded outwards, catching many moles in the process (+38 R). Then, it started expanding a lot downwards, it was so determined that it ended up reaching ground water supply layer. By that point, the colony could easily host TO’s entire colony and even the zombie (+251 R).

Some additional rules and stuff:
-If size of the organism increases, so will the organism statistics, aswell as their effects (so if you double your size, the organism has double in height statistics, and it consumes double energy/round passively).
-Actions such as converting resources into energy, or turning resources into health, don’t cost energy. However, if you don’t have resources nor energy, you can draw your health bar (meaning that it’ll have a lower cap) in order to regenerate energy just like resources.
