Round Summary
The full raport on old nest mutating ants was published to the public! It does say that the ants are mutating at extreme rates, exhibiting major changes even at the scale of hours. While no official actions have been taken yet, this document coming to light will surely trigger a worry in some countries soon…
The Organism Report
TO evolved a specialized “organ” which contains a smaller version of itself. Thanks to this, from evening onwards rolls of “1” on mutation votes should no longer be possible (it gives every mutation extra (1/4XSM)R cost)! After evolving this organ, TO tried constructing some water wheels to power members of the energy-producing alternator caste, but only one of them ended up working…
After the water wheel construction efforts TO developed a new caste, which would passively grow members of other castes. However, when trying to give birth to such kin, TO noticed a tumor instead (-50 H). Following the removal of the said tumor, the ant tried to widthen the tower, but instead it hurt itself with a loose rock (-50 H).
This gave TO the idea of improving it’s architecture capabilities even more, in order to make building the tower even faster. In the end this succeded (50% chance of getting a 2nd extra roll point from tower-related actions, @Nigel please submit a minor mutation related to building stuff). With this done, the ant made the fabled structure even taller, getting some gifts of applause too (+200 R).

This marks the first time (I think) when TO’s base stats have been refilled to their maximal capacity! With the large resource inflow from the colonies, perhaps TO should too adapt to using more resources and energy?

M: geothermal powerplant caste(grows from an egg into three connected ants, one of which extracts energy from the pressure gradient created by steam, and during its juvenile stage has a hole to let the digger dump dirt out the side, and produces very diluted sulfuric acid, as well as hydrofluoric acid if fed fluorite, and uses the Rankine cycle(cooling is provided by a member of the conduit caste, or through exploitation of convection); another of which is a member of the alternator caste, and the third of which is a digger caste, connected to the main generator part by a cord that transfers electricity, air, and hemolymph, and it eats dirt and rocks, and goes up to dispose of them when full, and it repeats this until it dies of overheating(until it cooks), at which point the pit is filled 1/6 of the way with water. can be covered in any liquid that doesn’t dissolve chitin after reaching maturity, as it only needs air before reaching maturity)
