I really donโt understand why people act like this. AC hasnโt been about historical accuracy at all since Valhalla and hasnโt ever been 100% about historical accuracy. Iโm not a huge AC person, but like, itโs fiction? Say youโre making fiction and since the real world is full of black gamers you have decided to interpret the history in a way that serves the storytelling and fan relations you wish to do? On the side of Ubisoft, stop being stupid and tell people the truth about your game, itโs a game, not a substitute for a history class. On the side of the gAmErS, uhh, donโt be racist? The problem with Ubisoft isnโt that itโs โwokeโ or โhas occasional black charactersโ, itโs that they kill games like theyโre out for blood. Ubisoft also kills series like they want blood. If you want to help make video games better and stop the rot of the whole industry, your best bet is something a lot more like this that this weak stuff. I didnโt watch the whole video, but I donโt need to watch it to know why it was made, it was made because anger is easier to sell than problem solving. Also racism. Also misogyny, but I donโt see that hereโฆ prolly bc I didnโt watch the video.

Iโd say itโs racist agianst Japanese people. And Black people too. Like you have a perfect opportunity to make a good story about some famous Japanese samurai, but instead they chose a random Black man who wasnโt that significant. Itโs like making a game set in Aftica with main hero being a white coloniser, you see what Iโm saying. Then they also try to release it on a day of Japanese national tragedy, which is not very good. These corporations donโt care about racial justice, social diversity or any historical accuracy. They care about the money. In 40s and during the HIS regime, many corporations like Volkswagen or Fanta proudly stamped swastika on their logos. Now they do the same with rainbows and representative characters, but only for one month and outside of China, lol. As I said, corporations always just go along with the mainstream to capitalise. Thatโs what people call โwokeโ.

I think that mightโve went a bit politicalโฆ As people in the forum seem to strangely do increasingly frequently.
Itโs hard not to be political in our day and age. People are more polarized than ever before, companies are using that factor and it just makes everyone angry. I miss the 2000s where things werenโt always so political. Or maybe itโs just because I was a child. Who knowsโฆ
