I really don’t understand why people act like this. AC hasn’t been about historical accuracy at all since Valhalla and hasn’t ever been 100% about historical accuracy. I’m not a huge AC person, but like, it’s fiction? Say you’re making fiction and since the real world is full of black gamers you have decided to interpret the history in a way that serves the storytelling and fan relations you wish to do? On the side of Ubisoft, stop being stupid and tell people the truth about your game, it’s a game, not a substitute for a history class. On the side of the gAmErS, uhh, don’t be racist? The problem with Ubisoft isn’t that it’s “woke” or “has occasional black characters”, it’s that they kill games like they’re out for blood. Ubisoft also kills series like they want blood. If you want to help make video games better and stop the rot of the whole industry, your best bet is something a lot more like this that this weak stuff. I didn’t watch the whole video, but I don’t need to watch it to know why it was made, it was made because anger is easier to sell than problem solving. Also racism. Also misogyny, but I don’t see that here… prolly bc I didn’t watch the video.

I’d say it’s racist agianst Japanese people. And Black people too. Like you have a perfect opportunity to make a good story about some famous Japanese samurai, but instead they chose a random Black man who wasn’t that significant. It’s like making a game set in Aftica with main hero being a white coloniser, you see what I’m saying. Then they also try to release it on a day of Japanese national tragedy, which is not very good. These corporations don’t care about racial justice, social diversity or any historical accuracy. They care about the money. In 40s and during the HIS regime, many corporations like Volkswagen or Fanta proudly stamped swastika on their logos. Now they do the same with rainbows and representative characters, but only for one month and outside of China, lol. As I said, corporations always just go along with the mainstream to capitalise. That’s what people call “woke”.

I think that might’ve went a bit political… As people in the forum seem to strangely do increasingly frequently.
It’s hard not to be political in our day and age. People are more polarized than ever before, companies are using that factor and it just makes everyone angry. I miss the 2000s where things weren’t always so political. Or maybe it’s just because I was a child. Who knows…

We’ll probably be seeing more “political incidents” popping up all around the forum due to these trends alongside the game becoming more popular, whilist the forum’s purpose is still to be a “politics-free haven”, atleast as long as the current devforce and modforce (of the later pretty sure only TeaKing is the sole one of the modforce but not the devforce at the same time) is in place…
