SkyGuy returns with RPGs

What about structures like bones or exoskeletons?

Edit: @Skyguy98 are tentacles and being boneless traits?

Those are traits, with very low threseholds to pass, so long as the other traits work with that and there are reasonable limits (cannot be a bubble the size of a skyscraper)

aight im making my species

Species name: Halvoir

Species biome: Swamps

Species traits: Tentacles (has 60 tentacles, with 10 major ones), Boneless (has no bones allowing it to have a great range of motion), Scaled (has chitin scales which are not connected between eachother, still allowing for a great range of motion and protection), Super-Sensitive Tactile Sense (their scales are covered by a special later of skin which its designed for easy regeneration and its densely covered by microscopic hairs used to sense ground, air and water vibrations), Amphibian (can survive in water and land), Clawed (their major tentacles end with 3 modified scales that work as claws and have muscles at their base to swivel them), Beak (beak), 61 Brains (each tentacle has a brain and there is a central brain), Full Regeneration (can fully regenerate losed body parts), predator (predator stuff), 6 Eyes (6 eyes with 4 positioned radially to grant a wide field of view and 2 frontal for depth), Occasional Cooperation (tollerates others of the same species and sometimes cooperate with eachother in small groups), Pattern-Color Changing Skin (name self explanatory, used for camouflage and comunication with other of the same species, also its the same skin layer that covers the scales.).

(Also yes, they are octopi on steroids, and they dont die after mating)

Character Traits: Female, young adult, has a peculiar interest in creating artificial structures.

You heard me say we’ll see what the roll says and decided to throw everything at the wall huh?

Note the level of complexity may not pass the roll, but I get the concept

i think i’ll just be a regular flatworm, somewhere in the deep ocean

Half way there! Great.

I’ll work on the beginning of the round for you guys. Do you guys want rounds of everyone at once or asymmetrical rounds of when I get done?

im inclined to go with the asymetrical approach

@TeaKing you have just made an enemy for life

You havent even made your species yet

Haters gotta hate yo

Species Summary

A Kerine is a known reptilian herbivore that prefers to live in the forests. It utilizes its strong beak to break open nuts and fruits. Its curved claws are helpful for hooking onto the bark of trees as it climbs in search of its food. Male Kerine are also very colorful, making them obvious to spot by mates and challenger males, and to nearby predators. Luckily, despite their large size and overall slowness, they have strong scales that can protect them from most similar sized animals, and a strong tail that can be used to whip at predators while not risking the main body of the Kerine.

Round

You awaken from within the trees you’ve spent the last few moons in. The sound of the forest’s washes over you and assure you that you are reasonably safe from any nearby predators. Your own tree hole is getting small for your growing size, the last few forages have been generous to you. As you’ve now shed your last child molt, and have survived the last few seasons gathering food, you are now an adult, ready to conquer the world before you.

Species Summary

In the Deep Swamps lie a peculiar creature. Sixty semi-independent tentacles all sharing the same mouth. The many limbed Halvoir is one of the strangest, but deadliest predators on the planet. Every one of its sixty tentacles can move independently of the others, and they end with claws that can easily pierce the skin of most creatures in the swamp. It can lurk in the water to grab aquatic creatures or grab prey drinking on the waterside and drag them into the water to drown them, then utilize its hard break to break bones and consume them. Its six eyes sit on top of its head, giving it 360-degree vision and allowing for accurate distancing. It is covered in scales that help provide structure and protection, protecting it from most damage, and which changes colors when reaching sexual maturity and during mating season.

That said, the Halvoir is not invincible, each of its sixty-one brains operates independently of each other, and so there are times when the creature comes into contention with itself, disagreeing on what action it should take. Its boneless, which helps with its range of motion, also makes it difficult for the brains to quickly execute its ideas, relying mainly on its strong muscles to overcome its boneless. Its protective scales also dull its senses, meaning the Halvoir relies upon its vision to make sense of the world. Its many brains also possess a health hazard, damage to one brain permanently damages the bodies’ ability to coordinate itself. Even damage to the extremity of a limb is presents a hazard to the body, so damaged limb must often be amputated at the next highest segment. It is not uncommon for older Halvoir to contain only a fraction of their limbs

Round

You awaken in the Deep Swamp you call home. Your many limbs begin to coordinate for your daily movement, your forward limbs begin to move the rock you have placed in the front of your cave, while your rear limbs begin to push against the wall to propel yourself forward. Your eyes begin to take in your surroundings as the light filters in from the waters surface. Your many brains agree, it is time to go forward and discover the world beyond.

Species Summary

The Flatworm is a simple creature, a relatively good starting point for a multicellular species with potentially boundless future, so long as it can survive long enough and figure things out. The creature contains bilateral symmetry, meaning it replicates traits on both its left and right side. It has a triple cell layer, meaning it has more protection from the environment than others of a similar class, a brain to coordinate movement, and a specialized digestive and excretory system, enabling it to consume calories effectively and expel waste. Its lack of circulatory and respiratory organs means that it must be relatively flat, allowing as much diffusion as possible through sear surface area.

Round

You emerge from your egg, floating freely though the deep water. There are warm hotspots below you, and potential food as well. The world is open to you, and who knows what the future holds.

Species: Flatworm
Biome: Deepocean
Age: Young (Turn 1)
Special Trait: None * (may develop one through action)

Species Summary

Crestlings are a clever pack animal living on the grassy plains. Social Crestlings spend most of their lives among their packs. Numbering at most ten, these usually consist of a mated pair or two and their young, though groups for young males and females will form in young adulthood to seek out territory. They possess a create electric sense, which allows them to locate the electric signals indicating nearby creatures, especially under ground or other Crestlings. This electric sense doubles as a shock to coming in contact, which can paralyze same to larger creatures, and even kill small prey. Doubling as both protection and early detection is important, as the Crestlings requires this warning to utilize it’s speed to prevent injury. Crestlings durability leaves something to be desired, as their bones break if subjected to high pressure, and the shock of such injury can paralyze their movement for a substantial period. Due to their fragility they are more naturally skittish then others.

Round

You awaken in the early morning, the fresh air filling your lungs with the morning moisture. As you move you notice your two pack mates, both male, laying beside you still asleep. The air pulses with energy, you know that the morning is filled with small prey. Your size makes you more likely to sneak and pounce on them. You subtly awaken your packmates with a soft shock, ready to begin your day.
