So the next round will be Peak doomlighting writing?
Could be, though I hope a random sublimpolis round wonโt outdo all of the PH-verse stuff tbh
Month 7
Season: Crossroads (The end?)
Emergency - Level 0
I want to report a critical emergency report to all members of Congress present in the war room!!!
Since this is a priority over anything else, any action requested before me is deemed invalid until final conclusions are drawn. I donโt think Iโll follow up on the battle anymore, you deserve to know whatโs happening:
According to the battle reports, three siege weapons were ready to fire at us from the rough wall while the battle on the north wall was starting to turn in our favor as indicated. Thanks to the fighting on the part of Crimson and Drakonis Tekki, we were able to repel most of the things with ground weapons. According to Crimson sources, the Master Mind is believed to have had a trump card.
And it turns out he was right.
You were all right when the ones who voted to deploy would be spies. I increased the police force that was on a tightrope due to the fighting, but it turns out that all the dots are connected: the rising crime rate, the unexpected thefts, and the sabotage. This was predictable. If I had more resources or a more accurate prediction, I would have realized that it was all about them.
The rest of the group began to emerge from the forests but the reinforcements for the northwest wall never arrived. The defenders there began to fight for their lives.
Out of no choice, I began to take some of the command from Eli while I ordered Drakonis Tekki to help the reinforcements. The others began to descend into unexpected chaos.
With the movement of Drakonis Tekki and the reinforcements, they came upon an incredibly horrifying sight of the army. The previous reinforcements had been slaughtered by the very same symbols that our technology had been developed from - stolen material! The battle there began to take shape and I, out of no choice - activated the laser cannon. All of our available energy sources began to feed the powerful laser, and at the command of the defenders trying to hold their position, one of the laser towers that had survived the previous hit from the siege weapon aimed straight at those who remained.
One fatal shot and with it the power that caused a power outage throughout the city except for critical points began to boil all the tools that stood at the edge of the forest. Which was to hear the screams and roars of a man, creatures and metal tools alike, melting. The weapon was as effective as it needed to be and destroyed a large part of the army there and the siege tools.
But the battle still continued and there was no more energy for another shot. I received a particularly unusual report from Drakonis Tekki about the battle position - some criminals managed to infiltrate outside the battle and moved to the bombed northwestern wall.
I called for the start of transport vehicles as more and more personnel began to move to the battle areas.
But when I tried to send this command, I received static noise. Crimson who had infiltrated, retreated back to check the situation, but all the commanders were slaughtered there. Some of the orders never arrived. Then a powerful explosion erupted from the western wall, far from the battlefield. I received no warning there about the movement of enemy forces, and with the massacre of the commanders, we were blindsided at this entire moment:
The Western Wall was breached, and with it a group of about 250 human units on protagonists from another world managed to enter the city for the first time since the city was founded.
Someone has betrayed us, and now the battles are inside the city itself and are progressing rapidly. Even with the amount of military power we have, the advantages are much, much stronger in comparison. Those who were on standby are trying to repel them with great difficulty, and with it the battles outside the walls continue, but their movement in general is surprisingly fast and much smoother than it should be.
I tried to contact other generals on the ground, but there was a static moment.
At that moment I realized - all this was planned in advance and they managed to trick me.
General Report:
Injured: 19530~
Killed: 6020~
Enemy eliminated: 310~
Estimated number on the northern wall: 00 (They began to flee, according to documentation.)
Estimated number on the northwestern wall: ~211 + 0 ฤyลtลchtli
Estimated northwestern wall damage: ~14%
Estimated western wall damage: 100%
Estimated number on the western wall: ~310 + 1 ฤyลtลchtli
I donโt believe it, but we have reached a crossroads. A disaster like I predicted last season has arrived.
All your votes and your projects stand as invalid so far, and now the only thing you can do is at least in our fateful minutes regarding the fate of the city.
I can say that this time (for a change) it is not the fault of the Congress for this situation, but I want to present you with 3 options that you can choose, as the most powerful people (government) in the city:
-
[u]Surrender. Let them destroy me and take over the city. Their fate will be unknown in the hands of the Master. (With this choice, the game will be over)
-
Fight until the bitter end. There is a slim chance that we will be able to repel them, but the price will be heavy. (There is a 40:60 chance that something good will happen, but the price will be heavy and the game will be significantly different if they succeed. If not, it is game over)
-
I am about to reveal to you the cityโs best-kept secret. Before I was built, there was a project in the early days of the city where they tried in the relatively quiet moments to try to optimize Madness for our benefit - or at least thatโs what it says. Itโs called โDeus Ex Machinaโ. I donโt know the details beyond that, but it was said that in the event that the city was in danger of survival, which it is now, to activate the switch. What happened after that no one knows, not even me. Everyone who was in that project disappeared without a trace (probably eliminated) and even that - an incredibly vague chance (in this case and choice, the gameโs setup will change completely. Itโs a muggle - it could be a big success or game over, but itโs a much smaller chance compared to the other options. It has an analogy to the Samson option)
Iโll give you the choice of three options:
- Surrender
- Fight until the bitter end
- Activate Project โDeus Ex Machinaโ
Iโll leave the choice up to you, so that at least I wonโt be the one to blame if something happens ![]()
[Small note: All information is saved, this is not a case of PH or Immortal. Itโs pretty bad luck in this case. The reason it took time is because I had to prepare and also because I forgot to work on it]
@aah31415 @AnthropocenianAge @fralegend015 @Jpeach @Animalia @TeaKing @UndyingHazard @Ill_try_at_least @TwilightWings21
I presume this means a much smaller chance of us not game-overing, right?
Personally, if it was possible I would try seeing if we can fight them off and only activate the Deus ex machina failsafe if it looks like weโre going to lose.
With the chances at hand I think for now if we canโt jumble between the 2 later choices Iโd go with fighting till the last drop of blood
Whatever we do, I hope too much people ordinary people do not suffer.
It might be the end, but we can manage how bad of an end it is to the cityโฆ
Hey i didnt get to build my brainwashing empire yet!
These people gotta die for ruining the fun
Weโre gonna continue fighting them, but if they ever dare think theyre reaching a victory, the Deus Ex Machina should obliterate them
Thatโs ideal, but itโs a very big risk - if we fight and theyโre too fast to activate the project, it would all be for nothing.
I myself donโt know what will happen if we activate it, and for that matter, itโs too big a risk to wait until we activate it.
Thatโs why weโre here - we have too many people to protect. I personally donโt like precious blood being spilled, especially in a cruel and merciless place where weโre probably the last remaining percent of humanity. (Even though most of you arenโt human)
Well I doubt theyโd be really spared either if we surrenderedโฆ
There seems to be a tendency to activate the โDeus Ex Mechanicsโ project, but not everyone has voted yet, so I will wait a bit.
The battle is still hard there, right now there is evidence of heavy fighting in our agricultural area.
The Isekai are attacking the food supply?!
I suppose so, although Iโm more of a coincidence than anyone else.
They want it to hurt even if they get defeated I supposeโฆ
So far - the vote is leaning towards activating the โDeus Ex Mechanicaโ project, with two-thirds.
There are 3 more who have not yet voted, but if they sit as absentees, that will be what will happen.
Well I sure do hope so whatever god we awaken doesnโt just swoop us, its creatorsโฆ
Welp, its decided:
4 in favor to active โDeus Ex Mechnicaโ.
2 in favor to fight to the bitter end.
3 abused.
I got your votes and for that, I will ask you etch of you here in this [post and every player and visitors/lurker come here and read this] - its may be the last meeting if go wrong.
For you safety - pleases evacuate to the underground bunker.
Everyone who its in the fields or in the warzone - abounded the area and flee as far as possible.
All citizen and migrants of the city: move to the closest shelter asap.
Every importen personal outside of the congress may also take shelter asap.
If its our last meeting, I am glad even in your short of 7 months of activitys soo far, you did your best. I may will geted destroy in the process, or not, idk. But, your lifes its higher priority them mine - after all, I am just a AGI that build to serve Sublimpolis and exsist for 1369 atomic days, all my existence purposes to defnce the last known city of humanity as we know of.
When you all be safe, I will activete the project, that the outcome its far beyond my production.
I dont love to stay like its the last time, but I will see you in the other sideโฆ
[Resolve of the project โDeus Ex Mabelgiumaโ will happain the upcoming days/hours]
Hopefully the dice roll well for our sakeโฆ
May we all meet you again, AGI of Sublimpolis.
