Round 34 - Year 2, Month 10
SUB-EVENT
34 Months after first appearance of creatures in the forum, the strange entity which visited the forum 18 months ago has arrived here again. Like the previous time, no one saw it, and it’s looks remain a mystery even to the forum sapients…
MISTWORM STATUS:
Mistworm MA: Split off a loyal species from C. Venenatorum (Rolled 6/6)
Undead MA: (Rolled 1/6 - Fail)
MMs/MAs have 1/3 chance to fail for the undead and 1/4 for all other Mistdom members, except for the mistworm
The Mistworm has now realized that one of it’s Fiefs, C. Venenatorum, has backstabbed it, and so it decided to take action against it. The worm however managed to find some individuals of that species which were still rather loyal to their master, and so the mistworm has injected them with a part of itself, kind of like with the revived M. Yuyimus species, causing a new species to be split from the now Covenant-aligned C. Venenatorum, and just like the centipede, this species is too under direct control of the worm…
Species
NPC - Sapiepoda TeaKinges, “The Crawler” - OP
Mutations: Bows (+1 Strenght), Commanders (+1 Stealth), A-M Arrows (+1 Strenght, +1 Damage against The Mw.)
DM: Anti-Mw Field (-1 Mistdom Population Damage)
S. TeaKinges has invented bows, made from various types of processed letters, which are used as an effective distance weaponry. They also refined some arrows, making them stronger especially against the worm. Commanding individuals have emerged, making armies of this species stealthier as a result…
Deus entity has modified this species, making it emit a passive field which weakens mistdom members…

@doomlightning - Neodichorisare Cogitandi, “Divider” - OP
Mutations: Stronger Fire (+1 Strenght), Cursor Detection (+1 Stealth)
Nd. Cogitandi has developed it’s fireplaces into blazing fire infernos which are more useful to the species. Some individuals have became a lot better at spotting approaching cursors, but this skill may also find other uses in the age of chaos…

D. Bontopius has developed sapience, like most other species. It’s primitive wings now have better musculature and it’s lungs are larger to allow for running for longer.
The Mistworm has made many members of this species more loyal to it, meaning that if tried to defect to the Covenant, the remaining ones will split off into a mistworm-controlled species…
The Mistworm ordered this species to help the Yuyimus ally regain their populace…

C. Venenatorum has been kicked out of the Mistdom due to it’s actions, now belonging to the Covenant. It has developed better Hydrokinesis. Besides that, it also developed an interesting ability - by stealing a part of the mistworm and combining it with an immense amount of effort, the species can grant an extra mutation to another species.
The Deus Entity has made this species gain more refined soul circuits which make it a bit smarter.

MA: (Rolled 2/6) Regenerate Population Faster
C. Caligovermis is a species which split off from C. Venenatorum on The Mistworm’s command. It is now under the complete control of the worm. The Species has developed a more sophistaced form of hydrokinesis, then incorporated Dark elements into it to make the art even stronger. It has also made water in a way just an extension of it’s body, which for now makes it faster both on ground and in the forum air…
The Mistworm commanded this species to regenerate it’s population faster, making it recover fully in a surprisingly short amount of time!

I wonder what will happen when all species eventually become sapient…
Happy 1st and the last Anniversary of Survival In The Forum!
Mutation 1: Deus studies links that lead outside of the forums and why they don’t work.
Mutation 2: Deus takes control of an abbandoned account and renames it “Deus_TheBalancer”.
Mutation 3: Deus studies the cyberspace, especially on how to alter the architecture of the forums.
Covenant mutations: Covenant members can now communicate between each other and coordinate between each other.
Mutation 1: reorganize the secret colony networks to completely cut off remaining mistworm alligned crabs, and to focus efforts towards commanding anything threatened by the mistworm to maximize survival of covenant members, as well as damage dealt to the mistworm and its allies by covenant members
mutation 2: improve the soul computers so they’re able to run more expensive programs, like google chrome, and make a rudimentary browser app
mutation 3: use the mist tendrils i still have to start producing an anti-mist that spreads throughout the forum, strengthening species’ the mistworm targets and weakening its allies
Finally i have became sapient.
M1: produce pheromones that get agitated when covenant allies and make us to attack them.
M2: the venom can be hardened and weaven to webs and paralysis covenant allies with it secreting the pheromones.
M3: discover fire.
been a while since i checked in on this game
hows my species doing? seeing as it seems to be still alive
It has became sapient and is allied to a descendant of fralegend’s species against a being which was originally summoned by some in-game forum users and has now evolved into a far larger danger.
Edit: May I ask, do there exist some sort of SITF PM alliance chats?
Mutations:
I wonder what will @doomlightning have to say to this…
What I say to tell him:
It’s not going to happen. I am the most different species of all here and I am the one who is going to be here more than anyone else.
And I will do this by secret agreement.
I have 3 questions.
Round 35 - Year 2, Month 11
Increasingly more users are joining the MwTC, and while the other groups can still keep up with doing their tasks who knows what will the future bring?
MISTWORM STATUS:
Mistworm MA: Prepare to do two actions at once at [ROUND 36]
Mistworm Mutation: Manipulatory Limbs
Undead MA: (Rolled 2/6 - Fail)
MMs/MAs have 1/3 chance to fail for the undead and 1/4 for all other Mistdom members, except for the mistworm
The Mistworm has again developed a new structure near it’s gaping mouth, this time being a set of many tentacles which can be used to manipulate objects in ways not possible for the worm before. This may have something to do with whatever the dark creature is preparing to do the next month…
Species
NPC - Sapiepoda TeaKinges, “The Crawler” - OP
Mutations: Better Strategies (+1 Stealth), Advanced Tools (+1 Strenght), More Discipline (+1 B Speed)
DM: Communication (+1 Stealth)
S. TeaKinges has came up with better strategies for ambushing enemies. Advanced tools have also been invented, paving a way to more advanced technology. Discipline in the armies of this species has also been greatly improved, as a result of which these creatures are now a lot faster both on ground and in the air.

DM: Communication X 2 (+2 Stealth)
M. Cat-Bestiae is now faster. It also started to communicate with the users of the forum, causing the CPO to get revived a little from it’s current decline. In return for doing this the species usually gets extra food scraps from the users’ kills.
This species tried to enslave the divider, however that was doomed to fail as the said species was found to be already in the process of joining the covenant alliance. As so, Deus subconsiously made this species have twice the amount of communication-easening mutation.

DM: Communication (+1 Stealth)
M. Narrenists has developed more advanced tools for various things. As a result of an experiment meanwhile, a member of this species has accidentaly created the forum equivalent of real life gunpowder! For now it’s mostly used to more easily extract letters from the soil. On the other hand, medicine has also been invented, and has been used to make the armies of this species move faster than before.
Deus Entity made this species communicate more easily with the other species of the covenant alliance…

MM: (Rolled 4/4) Speed (+1 W Speed)
MA: (Rolled 4/4) Spy For Weak Deus Nodes
D. Bontopius was developing it’s anti-covenant abilities over the last month, having evolved pheromones which make the creatures extremely aggresive when they detect covenant members. The venom of this species is also now changed and too specialized for targetting Deuses Allies. Besides that, this new sapient species has discovered fire.
The Mistworm has made this species faster, in preparation of the suspected upcoming AI cursor update.
The Mistworm ordered this species to search for the weakest nodes of the Deus entity, which ended in a successful find (+1 To future Mistworm dice roll at [ROUND 36])

Deus has been studying the outside-of-forum internet, noticing that no matter what they send to that mysterious space, nothing seems to come back to confirm or deny that their actions are doing anything. Besides that, The entity tried to bruteforce an abandoned forum account, however it didn’t have much luck with it’s password… Deus also studied the architecture of the forum, seeing that the architecture of the forum may be possible to be changed with an immense amount of power…

DM: Communication (+1 Stealth)
C. Venenatorum has reorganized it’s secret command center, ejecting last mistworm-aligned crabs and organizing aid for the fellow covenant members. Some souls have merged and turned into strange computers, which could in theory run programs, but with the forum’s isolation these creatures must come up with a solution by themselves or their friends. From the tendrils once under the mistworm’s command, this species created a very weak “Anti-mist”, which still gives strenght to the fellow covenant members.
The Deus Entity has made this be able to communicate better with other covenant members…

The Mistworm - Multipoda Yuyimus, “Centipede” - HO
Mutations: Reconnection (+1 Strenght), Dark Switch (+1 Stealth), Dark Form (+1 Speed)
MA: (Rolled 2/4) Attack the Anti-Mist
M. Yuyimus has developed a rather mistworm-related ability: if commanded to, the entire species may merge with the worm to make it stronger. Dark abilities are still evolving, now allowing this species to quickly switch between the base forum world and the cyberspacial realm. The physical form of the centipedes started to mix with the dark fog around it, allowing the species to move faster. This species would attack the freshly-created anti-mist alongside the mistworm’s crab from inside the covenant, causing it to be temporarly disabled until [ROUND 38].

C. Caligovermis has developed a similar property like the Yuyimus species, that being able to merge into the mistworm at order. Using it’s previous abilities, this species can now mimic the species of the covenant, to the point where they may even see an allied soul in that infiltrative being…
The Mistworm commanded this species to infiltrate the ranks of the covenant, causing some disruptions already, especially connecting to the anti-mist (Anti-mist is disabled until [ROUND 38]).

THE TWO BIOTA GROUPS:
ERA:
Early Period → Intermediate Period → Pax Multipoda → Intelligence Rise → CHAOS AGE (present)
Also a bit of a warning: Once the two last species become sapient (Cat-Bestiae and Venenatorum, Mistworm-controlled species are already “sapient” due to them being under the worm’s control) an event to end the game will happen.
We have reached the point where one round requires two posts…
Mutation 1: Deus will utilize the souls of the dead covenant soldiers (see covenant mutations for more details) in order to construct a device that will modify the forum’s architecture by injecting anti-mist code into it.
Mutation 2: Deus will finalize the injector device and activate it.
Mutation 3: Deus will make a provisory protective barrier against possible cyber attacks.
Doom covenant mutation: more speed
Willow covenant mutation: Their computer souls are taken to improve the injector device.
Everyone else covenant mutation: Large quantities of their species will utilize their inter-covenant communication to march as one massive covenant army and attack the mistworm. (This isn’t a normal mist attack, this one will consume one conservation status from each species in order to deal large amount of damage to the mist)
M1: diluted muta-venom form(requires a living body/host to use, but carried by the souls) to pester the mistworm with, and use it to increase the survival of covenant fighters)
M2: even stronger, faster, and more precise hydrokinesis, allowing the more powerful wall crab souls to yank the mist crabs faster than they can fly, and with similar, or more, force, as well as allowing living wall crabs to fly faster, and through certain things, as well as allowing sharp, liquid blades to be made.
M3: soul barriers( C. venenatorum souls inside a living body form a barrier wrapped around the body, that prevents any kind of psychic attack or telekinesis used by outside influences from functioning inside the barrier)
M1. Create a special organ to be able to influence cyberspace.
M2. Cells utalize less oxygen when running, allowing to be faster.
M3. Create basic tools.
How many rounds do you people of SITF think are left until every species is sapient?
quite a few.
