Keep in mind that the devourer isn’t getting a separate deus mutation.
Probably like an ant, with tentacles instead of legs. Also massive. And small wings.
Just how large? Larger than the Paucipoda?
Slightly larger, about 1.5x the size (because it consumed so much, it’s mostly fat and brains to store the intelligence)
So a really big fat ant with octopus tentacles for legs and tiny wings. Got it.
Round 49 - Year 4, Month 3
It appears that Darkblur is changing it’s tactics with the swarmlings’ attacks as the Mistvault covenant forces are expecting a new breach very soon…
MISTORB STATUS:
-??? HP
-Can no longer send orders to D. Bontopius, it’s only remaining species ally and a fief
-Cannot do much itself in this form
-The Mistorb Vault built around it serves as a container and a barrier
-The Trench built around it a decoy vault serves as an offensive and defensive position in case of a breach of the Vault made to validify the status of the decoy vault as the true one.
DARKBLUR STATUS:
-3/5 HP
-Insanely fast, can scale hundreds of posts in seconds
-Not much is known about it’s appearance
-Hasn’t shown off it’s offensive abilities (if it has any)
-In control of D. Bontopius
Species
NPC - Sapiepoda TeaKinges, “The Crawler” - HO
- Medium Omnivore
Mutations: Portals (+1 Stealth), GE Metal Integration (+1 Strenght)
DM: Warbot Optimizations
S. TeaKinges have been interested in expanding the reach of the planes beyond just a single topic, and with lots of work modifying the hyperlinks into more complex objects, the crawlers managed to set up a system of portals which allow larger objects to pass into new threads or PMs. Besides that, seeing the superiority of the dividers’ glorious evolution metal, this species adapted it to it’s weapons both old and new, tipping arrows and spears with far sharper and more durable tips…
The god of the archmage species had this species optimize the warbots, making them prepared for mass production in the future to come…

Mutations: Metalskin (+1 Strenght), Wallcrab GE Metal Implants
DM: More Checkpoints (Pop. damage protection extends to D. Bontopius hunts)
Nd. Cogitandi used the truly glorious material it’s been developing for some months now to cover the skins of all the specimens of this species, making them far more resiliant to physical damage. Also seeing that the wallcrab brethen from the covenant are lagging behind in terms of brain development, the dividers offered them all useful implants made from the glorious metal which should advance their intelligence levels to nigh-sapient levels, albeit not quite truly sapient…
Deus ordered this species, alongside the one it tried to uplift into sapience, to construct more checkpoints around covenant population centres. With those being built, the many critters living within these places are now far safer from attacks commited by the darkblur’s swarmlings…

The Devourer, seeking to grow stronger, had even more wallcrabs join in it’s cult, having them call itself the God of Souls and Death. Following this species’ relocation to the Mistvault PM, as commisioned by Deus itself, Devourer got the idea of using the cloning techniques developed by the cat beasts from many months ago to increase the size of the cult. Not long after this idea first popped up, the cloned cultists started worshipping the devourer just like all the other ones…

NPC - Paucipoda Narrenists, “Darren” - HO
- Huge Omnivore
Mutations: Nuclear Ammo (+1 Strenght), Fighting Techniques (+1 Strenght)
DM: Stronger Cybernukes
M. Narrenists have had an interest for a while now of scaling the cybernuke’s potential down to more conventional weapons like firearms. While it certainly took lots of effort by the force of the darrenling scientists, within a few weeks the “nuclear bullets” were invented and spread across the forum, exploding with high force when fired even from pistols. With the advent of these, the populace of the darren soldiers as a whole took the decision to revise the teaching standards of this species, creating techniques which would soon lead to a new generation of superior fighters emerging.
Being interested in getting new and stronger weapons for future confrontations with the mistdom, Deus insisted the scientists of the darren kin to link their cybernukes to the new and superior energy nodes recently created by the god of the archmages. These will increase the force of those fabled bombs vastly…
This species will not be able to cast one action/mutation at [ROUND 50] due to the actions of D. Bontopius…

Darkblur - Dichorisare Bontopius, “The Swarm” - HO
- Medium Mist-Aligned Omnivore, Controlled by Darkblur
Mutations: Even more Anti-covenant protection (-2 covenant pop. damage)
DBM: Target Evolution (Hunt focus switched to preventing mutations)
D. Bontopius seemingly achieved the maximum amount of protection achievable, as at this point it would take lots of luck just for a single species to even harm the swarmlings’ populace. Meanwhile Darkblur made this species switch it’s focus due to developments from the covenant: as the populations of the covenant species started to live among and inside the heavily fortified checkpoints, harming them directly is now a lot harder, however by releasing a certain substance, the swarms of this species still have a shot at causing damage to it’s many enemy species long-term by having them evolve slower than itself. Since this is a new approach however, only a third of the attempts may succeed…
Nd. Cogitandi - (2/6, Nothing) - This once-ressurected species didn’t suffer any evolutionary slowdowns from these new hunts…
Paucipoda Narrenists - (6/6, -1 Mutation at [ROUND 50]) - Things were different with the strongest of all the species however, as the swarms released enough evolution-slowing substance near the barracks of those giants that they ultimately ended up having their actions slowed down…
F. Spiritusvivi - (6/6, -1 Mutation at [ROUND 50]) - The Archmages, now living in tall and well fortified checkpoints, might’ve not been prepared for contamination by the strange substance, which would soon turn out to have taken away the chance to do something useful next months…
C. Venenatorum - (3/6, Nothing) - While the swarmlings got more luck here than in case of the dividers, they yet again failed to cause harm to the yet-to-become-sapient wall crabs…

Deus decided to make further use of the cybernukes by developing far denser energy nodes and then having the darren scientists link these to the cybernukes in place of the old, weaker energy nodes. What was more important this month however was the construction of The Laboratory in the mistvault PM by the recently invented robots. This huge structure covers multiple posts and is tall enough not just to let in the quite large Darrens, but infact to allow the fabled devourer god to crawl inside the building without damaging it…
This species will not be able to cast one action/mutation at [ROUND 50] due to the actions of D. Bontopius…

DM: Checkpoint Construction Aid
C. Venenatorum, having evaded the hunts of the swarmlings multiple times in a row now, decided to take actions to prevent a new hunt from breaking the streak and started selecting for offspring with faster-swinging legs, in hopes of having these eventually outrun the darkblur’s species. Alongside that, the worship powers now extend to all covenant species, as every single of them now has a god of it’s own, through which worship powers can partially transfer into the populace.
Seemingly in an aknowledgement of the act of creation of the metal god, the dividers gave the wallcrabs as a species an excellent gift - implants made from the glorious evolution metal, which should increase the mental capabilities of each and every wallcrab immensly. Those nigh-sapient wallcrabs were then sent alongside their “uplifters” on a mission to construct more checkpoints which should make way more swarmling hunt attempts go in vain…

Looks like the last non-sapient species is just a half of a brain tier from grabbing the torch of sapience! But just how soon will that occur…?
Also I guess some may’ve already noticed but I increased the length of the species action/mutation reports vastly over the recent dozen or so rounds…
How many cybernukes do we have in terms of possible forum destruction?
The Covenant (or rather, the darrens) should be capable of deploying nukes to around 10% of all threads at maximum at the present (keep in mind that a huge chunk of the threads, especially the smaller ones, aren’t being upkept and so are not inhabited by any creatures).
Mutation 1: Vassalization Soul - Modified form of covenant soul, designed specifically to be inserted inside the mistorb and allow him to receive great control over it.
Mutation 2: Use the Injector to inject a vassalization soul into the mistorb.
Cov mutations:
Teakinges: Mass produce warbots.
Doom: After all the preparations are in place, use our knowledge of mistorb signals in order to create a signal from the fake mistvault, this signal will request the aid of all the mist forces in order to breach Trench and rescue the mistorb, include that the Covenant is going to severely damage the mistorb, as such they will need to rescue it immediately.
Catsquared: Use the laborathory in order to aid in the creation of the vassalization soul.
Darren: Station all warbots to Trench and ready the nuclear arsenal in order to annihilate everything in the Trench thread once the time is right.
Willow: Mass produce warbots.
The plan is this: Make all the mist forces attack Trench, which they will need to since it is too well defended for just a portion of them to attack it, make them advance a little bit, just enough so that they will receive maximum causalties, and then detonate all of our cybernukes into the thread, killing them all.
Who do you mean by “him” there? Deus? Or the soul?
Deus gains control .
Also you intend that ONLY warbots are present in the trench at the point of mass detonation, right?
Will the warbots be enough to force all of the mist forces to attack at once?
They should be enough of a threat, especially as they carried over the weaponry invented by the darrens.
Then only the warbots are stationed in the trench.
Well then no losses to the covenant species’ populaces will be blown.
M1: stronger mutavenom(can control the mutations it gives)
M2: mutation stealing venom(allows me to remove mutations from creatures, and receive them by doing so)
M3: hunt The Swarm, and steal Advantage Taking
what would happen if i made the swarm evolve an anti-mist?
Wasn’t the purpose of mutavenom to make it harder for the mistdom members to harm your species?
Don’t think you can do that, members of the swarms with such mutations would get immedietly killed by their brethen.
it was half for that, and half to let me give mutations to those who need the more than i do
and since frale has the deus mutations, he can now use my species to use two on one species
and i can use the controlled mutations from it to weaken a species, but make it have more success in spreading its genes
Are you interested in having your base species turn sapient yet?
