The Lifenote

Thanks! Currently researching ways to become an incredibly personally OP without using genies/genie like beings, cus genies cringe, before I get back to scattering Chimarion creatures all over the planet

At least, I will be researching that in the morning

Edit: curious, was a ruling on artificial intelligences ever made/robots? Initially I’d assume no but at a certain level they are technically considered life forms. Like no summoning straight equipment like a bulldozer, but curious about say a sapient bulldozer, or robot hounds, etc

It makes wonder if someone decided to make a defense/AI program sentient, would it only affect the “real world”?

I think if they are significantly more complex than simple machines they could be considered lifeforms for the FG’s sake. So for instance here nanobots would count, alongside sapient robots.

Even if it has no physical body and only exists in cyberspace as code?

Um I don’t think you can summon it then.

Well that sucks

I can still do some of my ideas, but they’re much more limited in scope

Unless you allow entities made entirely of magic with no physical or concentrated form

Considering I did get a phoenix to be summoned it will be allowed

Mwahahahaha

Perfect, absolutely perfect. I have many ideas

(For the word count)

I think you were safely above 20 letters here?

With willow back I sure do wonder if centarian will finally respond here or not

Edit: @willow @sci0927 @Ferrus_coloni @UndyingHazard @Trappist-1e @domin2ktr @AnthropocenianAge @Nigel @TwilightWings21

It’s been a month since the last around and Centarian has still not submitted a vote in this FG. What do we do with them?
  • Skip votes, write next round
  • NPC-ify their character (will count to skipping votes if doesn’t get a majority)
  • Wait longer for them to respond

you already got the kernelsprite?

A1: wake up, mutter “:belgium: it. if i can’t do it with this stupidly overcomplicated machine, i’ll Belgiuming make it with my own belgium cells.” and then start cooking a Huge breakfast on a metal plate heated by me shaking the metal atoms, and then eat until my stomach is Full.

Mutation: produce a gene for a DNA synthase membrane protein that takes electrical input from 6 heme wires, and puts out precisely built dna molecules of arbitrary length and complexity,

yet must still be processed further to be used, and a protein that turns an electrical impulse from something as wide as a neuron into a transfer of one electron down a heme wire(the type of wire that geobacter sulferreducens and metallireducens use),

then combine those to make a specialized cell type that takes electrical input from six neurons, as well as nucleobases and sugars and phosphate, and uses them to construct brand new DNA strands, and make a tissue full of them and neurons connected to them

A2: realize i still need to be able to be able to control the dna, then realize that there a tonne of metal ions involved in dna handling and that eukaryotes have some linear and circular cytoplasmic chromosomes,

then charge lina’s phone by moving the lithium ions to the other side,

set up a little dish thingy that lets me use 6 neurons connecting to 6 thin gold electrodes on the inside of a borosilicate glass dish, and excise a bit of tissue from myself containing the cell type i just made and some neurons arranged just right to connect it to the electrodes

separate the cells into the right configuration so they’re all connected so they print the same genes, by pulling on the metal ions inside them(specifically, Ca2+, Na+, K+, and Fe2+/Fe3+) so i can make a computer remember and input the gene sequences for me using 3 wires(1 for telling the inbuilt computer if a gene is being printed{rising edge starts printing a dna molecule, falling edge cuts it} and two for telling the inbuilt computer {that i will make later} which base to add next{it sends this signal in pulses at the frequency that dna polymerase runs at}) and sentence myself to driver hell for the next two days after i get back to my apartment i guess

and all that is to make me not have to spend thousands of dollars doing simple gene mods or writing genes

So basically you can now edit/make DNA at will?

yes buuut i do not yet have the infrastructure to replicate the dna to usable amounts or distribute it, and i do not yet have the respurces to accurately predict how a dna sequence will translate to proteins

I suppose this will be solved in some time if you managed to get this right

THE CHOOSEN ONES (Players)

@willow - EMBER INANI (Zone 4, NYC)
Action 1:

Action 2:

RESULTS:
After waking up you decide to go around the energy constraints on the Qu techs by… eating enough to force a mutation. The said mutations causes you to develop a tissue with genes basically allowing you to modify genes at will. You however soon realize making new things with this DNA won’t be such an easy of a task and so you decide to focus on other things for now. Using your powers you more or less instantly charge Lina’s phone, but soon enough you return to the previous topic at hand by turning a glass dish vessel into a unit of this new tissue. You also make some preparations for creating a setup that would allow you to modify DNA better by extracting specific ions from the cells in the modified dish plate for now.

You decide to cast one more powerful enchant, this time at your mirror. Action 2:

RESULTS:
The fallout of the mirror world’s creation seems to be continuing, as your base world professor is sad to tell you that the biota of ediacaran has suddenly disappeared, and instead a special trip it will be and not an extraordinary one. Out of the notable things in the main world, you will meet someone known as “Kamilia” as the tour guide. In the mirror world all is going well and according to the plan. With flights early tomorrow, you check on the two digimon, to see them doing fine in the device. Looking at the digimon forums, you see the sorrow of many people having lost their dream creatures after having briefly obtained them in the real world. While the main body reads those sadness filled forums, the mirror body is instead focused on learning about the story of the Pandora Horizon FG on the Thrive Forum.

Action 1:

Action 2:

RESULTS:
After numerous days of seemingly having forgotten The Lifenote, Terrance suddenly, nearly randomly even remembers it after a brief sleep’s night earlier that day and nearly instantly wishes for a Hesperides tree to spawn in his backyard. Without any precautions he then consumes one of it’s infamous immortality golden apples, which makes him also more aware of his surroundings. Suddenly realizing a source of immortality is now out there so close to his place he summons it’s guardian, Ladon, to prevent any other normal human from grasping for that gift. He then decided to try and talk to Ladon, (6/6) which actually seems to be pretty understanding of the situation despite it definitely not being his time, as he’s talked to not from equal footing but from two stories above.

Action 1: Check my phone for any messages from work and use my life note to summon a few Quarantine Enforcement Platforms from the game subnautica around the world in areas not occupied by buildings or people that are programmed to target and eliminate any meteorites that enter the mirror Earths atmosphere to hopefully help defend against the meteors that SBURB will cause.

Action 2: Summon a USB stick containing a easy to set up and use program for easy modification of digimon, data/source code for the digimon breakdramon, the X-antibody, In-depth blueprints for The USG Ishimura from dead space including schematics for it’s Shockpoint drive and gravity tethers, and schematics for the Stasis module from dead space. Then use the USB to download the program and start working on an X-antibody variant of breakdramon that incorporates the blueprints and schematics into it’s design for the purpose of destroying and harvesting meteors.
