EDIT 2: I don’t care about the capitalist thingy though. However, I like free healthcare and education. Just don’t put the taxes too high. I also despise communism as well as fascism.

Im pretty sure that being humanoid isnt a required trait for sentience… at best it looks like you require a social creature with ‘hands’ and fine motor controls capable of constructing tools and utelizing fire in order to move onto civilization.

such species might have the same capabilities as humans, other than higher speed and energy consumption, they will with 100% certainty evolve from six-legged fish, so most of the creatures around them will be six-legged too.
