The Public Thrive Odyssey Council

I can’t wait to create the XCOM project in the third stage and fight the retarded Elders.

you have also shown your hand.

you think so, but i haven’t. you are in far more trouble than you think.

i dont think so
he basically revealed nothing

do you know his plan?

also @OmnipotentFNarr can you repost the weaknesses of all the soldiers?

Archers are weak to cavalry, cavalry is weak to infantry, infantry are weak to archers. Siege weapons are weak to all land units, boats are weak to siege weapons and strong against all land units.

I updated the combat sheet again. This time I explained the benefits and drawbacks of using heavy unit types.

I have a question, would spearmen be long-range infantry? (because spear long)

Spearman is considered infantry, yes.

@OmnipotentFNarr new round please?

Just be patient. They will get to it when they get to it.

Please stop mentioning me to ask me for the new round. It’ll be posted when it’s ready.

I’m thinking of adding a mechanic where if you don’t interact with a civilization for a while they will forget about you. Is this something you would be interested to see?

That would be an interesting mechanic, as it forces you to have to work together with other civilizations. However you can probably make it in their history if you interact with them enough so they never forget about you or something. Or like when you wage war on a country and it devastates it, causing the attacked country to never forget what you did or something like that.

Would that affect federations as well (if two provinces or states don’t meet other)?

Well if you’re in a federation, ideally you would be constant contact with each other, so maybe prolonged separation may lead to forgetting the federation even existed.

But after globalisation this feature will be almost impossible anyways, since people will be constantly communicating with each other.

How long would it take for that to happen?

The more important your relations are, the longer it’ll take to degrade your relations. A nation you meet with once and never interact with again can be forgotten in 3 turns, while a civilization you form a federation with could last well over 8 turns.

i am assuming that slaughtering an entire city will burn you into that nations memory?

Of course, the more important your history is with that nation, the less you’ll be forgotten. Your history can go both ways, a great ally will be remembered as well as a bitter enemy.
