Story
A meteor has fallen from the sky! This gift from the cosmos is loaded with resources, which can grant a single powerful tech improvement. Thankfully, no one was hurt from the impact, which could have been disastrous. In other news, the cure for the Britannian plague is finally discovered. The world seems safer for now…

Actions: [Global] Shields, [46] Walls, [56] Bronze Weapons
Result: 11/20, 14/20 -6 = 8/20, 17/20 -6 = 11/20
You task your people to make a means of mobile defense. They come up with shields, coated with bronze, so that they may use them to protect from arrows and sword swipes. These shields give +3 to combat.
Your builders don’t find enough resources to build a wall around the entire village.
You cast weapons out of bronze, so that they may strike with more power and last longer. These bronze weapons grant +3 to combat rolls.
You are now officially a civilization.

Result: 11/20 +2 = 13/20, 15/20 -7 +2 +2 = 12/20, 19/20 -7 +1 +2 = 15/20, 17/20 -7 +1 = 11/20
Your people lived near the coast of the sea, so they tried to think of ways to master the waves. Wood was the material of choice, since it floated and was very common, so they built rafts out of wood. These rafts will give +1 to sailing rolls and give you access to nations that would normally be inaccessible.
Your blacksmiths and miners work a lot with rocks, so they became experts on the subject. They wanted to smelt tougher stones, but to do so, they would have to upgrade their ovens. They did so by making the fire kiln out of hardened clay, which traps heat and makes the fires more intense, giving you access to tougher metals to smelt.
Your builders dug the soil to make a road system that connects both villages together. These dirt roads make building structures easier, grantig a +2 to infrastructure rolls, and if you set up a trade route with another nation, it’ll give +3 to trading rolls.
You throw a huge feast to the Marcellians to try and impress them with your wealth, which might entice them to join you. They enjoy the celebration and are finally interested with your deal, merging with you and granting you their village. You now have 3 villages and have gained a third global action.
Also, during the celebration, you could observe shooting stars in the sky. One of those trailing lights was getting bigger and crashed North from here. It can potentially have lots of resources loaded with rare metals, which could increase your wealth.
You now have enough population to become a civilization.

Result: 16/20 -6 +3 = 13/20, 19/20 -6 +3 = 16/20, 12/20 -6 +3 = 9/20
Your philosophers try to understand where the disease is coming from. How could mushrooms be harmless to cattle but deadly to humans? They came up with a theory, the germ theory. According to this theory, the mushrooms themselves weren’t deadly, but awful little bugs, too tiny for the eye to see, infected these mushrooms, which is why they didn’t infect the cows but instead the humans. That is why they advise people to not touch each other, to not not cough on each other and to stay away from each other, because that is how the little germs spread. This is effective, giving -1 to the death toll.
Your engineers wanted to make clothing, but animal hides are bulky and need to be cleaned. That is why they took wheat fibres and weaved them together to make textile. This cloth is very resilient and light, and was resistant to sword slashes, which made it effective to be worn as under-armour, giving a +1 to combat rolls and a bonus +1 to any other armour that comes after it.
Your guards continue their patrol, but unfortunately they find two fishermen loitering outside curfew. They had to be disposed of, and so they were killed and burned.
Death roll: 6/6 -3 = 3/6
Another three people died, excluding the two fishermen. You are making progress though, if you can get the bonus to -6 or develop a cure, you’ll get rid of the disease.

Actions: [Global] Defensive Pits, [20] Community Centre, [27 (26 Traders)] Trade with Kuegelland, [30] Cartography, [75] Better Roads, [26] New Village
Result: 20/20! +2 = 20/20!, 17/20 -8 +2 +3 = 14/20, 17/20 -8 +1 +2 = 12/20, 13/20 -8 +3 = 8/20, 12/20 -6 +2 +3 = 11/20, 17/20 -8 +2 = 11/20
The people of Xirimiri also get ready to defend their home, digging deep trenches. Taking it one step further, they lace the trenches with spikes, tipped with jagged bronze tips, acting as a sort of hook to keep pierced flesh stuck to the spike. These are an upgrade to the trenches, so they will grant -3 instead of -2 to attack rolls and are effective against cavalry and infantry. As a bonus, these new hooks also prove to be useful in fishing, helping reel in more fish, which helps increase population.
You task your fishermen to build a community centre. This centre is useful to manage and organise the villages and different tasks, which helps with developing new technology. This building grants a +2 to research.
You send an expedition to the East, where you find Kuegelland. This nation is nice enough to trade with, so you traded sailing for shields, which was a pretty good deal for land-locked Austria, and left happily with your new defenses. When your crew was there, they chatted and exchanged pleasantries. Your traders heard from them that a huge explosion could be heard South-West. Perhaps it was a volcanic eruption? It could be worth investigating.
Despite their best efforts, your humans could not find a way to map the region.
The farmers and herders work on the roads to try and improve them. They make stone brick roads, which are easier to distinguish and don’t wash away in the rain. These new roads grant +3 to infrastructure rolls and +4 to trading if a trade route is established.
Every 100 population, you are allowed to build a new village. You send a group of builders to build the village in a location I shall not divulge, which frees up room to increase your population. You may name this village if you want.
Congratulations, you’ve gained a third global action.

Result: 13/20, 19/20 +3 = 20/20!
You decide to improve your houses by making them out of stone brocks and using the clay as a mortar, making the houses much sturdier. These stone brick houses allow for an increase in population.
Your sailboats are neat for travel, but they can’t carry much cargo. That is why you decided to upgrade them by making them a lot bigger. These new longboats have one big sail and a deck outfitted with paddles, so that people can row when the wind is blowing in the right direction. Plus, these new ships are big enough to carry siege weapons and large animals, perfect for invasions. These new longboats give +4 to sailing rolls.

Result: 16/20 -7 +1 +2 +5 = 17/20, 18/20 -4 +2 +2 = 18/20, 17/20 -7 +1 +2 +5 = 18/20
You use your bronze to upgrade your weapons by forging bronze swords and bronze spears. These will grant +3 to combat rolls.
You dig underground shelters to prepare for disasters, such as hurricanes or floods. These stone bunkers will give +3 to disaster rolls to increase your chances of survival.
Your philosophers work on finding a more efficient way of grinding wheat seeds. They come up with millstones, using stone wheels (which they have now invented, unlocking new inventions) placed perpendicularly to each other and hollowed out to allow a wooden shaft to hold them in place, so that they may spin, crushing grain more efficiently than by hand. Although it’s still a manual structure, it can be upgraded, but for now, it increases your population.
EVENT: Meteor Shower! By diceroll, your civ was chosen to be the unlucky city to be bombarded with meteorites. Let’s see how well you do…
Disaster roll (1-4=direct hit, 5-7=shockwave, 8-20=safe distance): 5/20 +3 = 8/20
Luckily for you, your shelters were useful to protect your people from the falling debris. The main meteor actually landed a safe distance away towards the East, which you can send an expedition to harvest the space metals from. These metals are really powerful, but there is only a limited amount of them, enough for one technology using them. Choose wisely!

You improve your tools by making them out of tougher materials, using the environment around you. You use sharp obsidian from the volcano to make cutting-edge (pun very much intended) tools. These tools help to harvest resources better, which increases your population.
You put your new tools to use and start digging, hoping to find neat goodies. While sifting through the dirt, you get lots of metals you can potentially smelt and other resources, contributing to an increase in population.

The Taolu now at your mercy, they surrender their village and offer to join you instead of dying. You accept, turning their village into yet another Mongol tribe, roaming the plains, searching for more nations to attack. Although it seems that, as time moves on, nations turn into civilizations, and it may not be as easy to conquer enemies in the future… Nevertheless, the Taolu join you, dissolved, and you increase your population. Feel free to name the new tribe
With your new furnaces, you research better metals to smelt. You find yourself with iron, a tough metal, much stronger than the copper weaponry you have right now.
Recent feuds with the Bananrama has decreased your relations with them.
You now have enough population to become a civilization.

The race for the cure was on. You first investigated by interviewing the sailor’s mother to try and coax the soup recipe out of her. She eventually backs down and tells you her secret recipe. You make a huge batch and test the soup on various different infectious substances, such mould, feces and ticks. After a while, you see that the ticks died, while the mould stopped growing, but the feces remained unaffected. It seems like the special blend of herbs and stocks has a toxic effect on the pests, which may cure and even prevent infections! Since you got a 20, you reached the cure in one turn. You now have the cure for the Britannian plague. As a plus, this cure also keeps the population healthier, which increases your population.

It was time to divide tasks for different people, so that they may operate with more efficiency. And so, division of labour was at hand. I will give you the population bonus now so I don’t forget later.
You fail to invent writing. Maybe it’s because of the distraction coming up…
Your dingy rafts were in desperate need of an upgrade if they were to be used by your people, so you improve them by adding sails, making them sailboats. Sailboats give +2 to sailing rolls instead of +1.
You visit the Phoenicians in search of trade. You both exchange goods and ideas. After giving them copper shields, they taught you how to write, which will come in handy when researching technology, because it gives a +2 to research rolls. You improve your relations and increase your population.
A huge shockwave destabilizes you! After the environment calmed down, you decided to investigate. It trunks out, not too far from here, a meteor has landed! It could be ripe with otherworldly resources…
Also, you were visited by the Laestrygonians. You traded some goods and increased relations. They gave you sailing technology in exchange for copper shields. You also told them about the mysterious shockwave that rocked the village.
