My bad, I thought it was Australo as well (that’s why I started with the rift).
To me, it would have made way more sense to start with autralo since it was the very beginning toward sapience.

Because it was the first hominid to stand upright. That was the first step toward becoming a human.
i think you can stand up since this game is based on ancestor the human kind odyssey and in that game you can stand up
we are playing as proconsul which is different from the apes in ancestors.
